  1. While I agree that we overpaid by about $119 million, we saved a lot of money by signing monster talent like AQ Shipley and Brandon Stokely for pennies. So it all averages out to 8-8, right?

Couple times last season I wondered if joe flacco would rather have the $119mil and get sacked, pick himself off the ground, have limited amount of weapons to throw to, and most off all have the ravens lose games.... Then take a little pay cut to spend money on the O line, possibly get a top Tackle and WR in free agency?

  2. Typical of fans to want the flashy players in the 1st round. Saying give flacco weapons, and Mosley was not a need. Only weapon flacco will be missing from our SB run is Anquan. Pitta is back this year, I'm confident with Steve's smiths passion he has some fire left in him, oz resigned jacoby, and we still got Torrey smith. The draft has just began, there's more prospects and weapons to be had and people are losing faith. This is a great organization and since the ravens became the ravens they won 2 Super Bowls which is dam impressive to me.You could disagree with all the comparisons for Mosley all you want, but he'll be himself and one day he will be used as a comparison. Some of you are losing faith in Arthur brown too, he could play OLB also. He played their in college too. I'm passionate just like you folks, sometimes you have to take a break, relax and let the professionals do thei job. If not, go be a browns or jaguar fan, they get all the flashy picks and what does it do for them??

RAVENS ALL DAY! In Ozzie we trust!

  3. I was shocked at 1st when CJ Mosleys name was called, especially with Dix and pryor still there. But the pick grew on me after an hour or 2. I remember reading somewhere and hearing some analyst say that basically CJ Mosleys athletisim and pass coverage ability allows Clinton-Dix to roam the back end and doesn't have to worry too much about passes in the middle. We need that type of confidence and trust on our defense. Ozzie has been doing this longer then any of the guys on this forum that's criticizing him for this, and gets paid good money to make this decisions. If a ILB is really that athletic and has good range to make people around him better and trust in him, then I say grab him and he can be the new stone in the ravens defense. Some day these guys criticizing Ozzie will thank him. Hope he stays healthy! Welcome to Baltimore CJ Mosley!

  4. I've been hoping for L.Blount since he got on FA, also hoping steelers can't afford him! I'd hate to face him and L.bell twice a season!?!? I'm checking every minute online for news on " Patriots ex-RB Laggarrette Blount agrees to a deal with Baltimore Ravens!" We honestly don't know what the future holds with Rice and his arrest, and Pierce injuries. So fingers crossed Blount suits up in Purple&Black!!! GO RAVENS!

  5. He should have more confidence because there is a bigger margin for error when you play with pro bowlers. Since their line was so bad, is 22nd out of 35 centers accurate? i mean he didn't give up a sack, correct? He could be a lot better this year.

I agree.... Sometimes even talented guys play to the lower level thats around them. So hopefully the leaders in B more lift him to his potential and maybe be a pro bowler in the future.

  6. imo, we can get better value ($$$ & age) with one of our comp picks in the draft.

We could do that for every position instead of FA, where would that get us? Blount is only 27 and I think in his prime right now. Why don't we just draft a whole team and save $. Fact is we need to fill some holes in FA and the O linemen on FA don't seem that eye catching. If we could get a big goal line back at a good deal, then why not? Then we could attempt to fix other problems in the draft. For all I know we could get Blount and draft a RB and both our points would be made. Have them battle it out for the starter position. Blount has matured and is more experienced then a rookie...

  7. He's going to be looking for a starting job or at least the majority of carries. The Ravens want a goaline guy and Blount will want to be paid as a starter.

I think every back wants that. The fact of the matter is his size limits that, so it's not a surprise to him if he is not a starter. He wasn't a starter last year. He was in the rotation though, and played more when riddley had fumbling issues.

  8. Ozzie says they want a bigger RB.....

How about laggarrette Blount?? 6-1 245lbs big enough?

I think he's came a long way since his college trouble. He had a pretty impressive season last season with the patriots! Avg 5.0 yards a carry and I think he had 4 td's in the playoffs against the colts. He's been sitting on that FA list for a while so I'd think he'd could come be a raven for a good deal??
