Atlanta Falcons
LB Korey Toomer - 0.5 Stars
I think he just got added...
Atlanta Falcons
LB Jeff Knox - 0.5 Stars
Atlanta Falcons
LB Michael Morgan - 0.5 Stars
Atlanta Falcons
LB Jon Bostic - 0.5 Stars
EXAMPLE:
Robert Alford
Base Salary $2,000,000
Dead Money ($19,000,000)
Cap Hit $4,000,000
So let's say I cut him with the special rule, then it means I save 2 Stars, since I wiped out his dead money.
2 minutes ago, rmw10 said:Correct. You get one cut where you can ignore the dead money and cut the player and save his entire base salary, regardless of the dead money associated.
I need an example
I don't understand what the special cut rule or the special trade rule mean.
Can someone give me a better detail on it? Is it something like a get out of jail free card that wipes the dead money that exceeds the cap hit?

He ain't going anywhere. New England will match that contract easy.
I don't know about the Cowboys though.
If that is the case, the Redskins should be having a fire-sale instead of holding on to expensive talents like Josh Norman.
2 minutes ago, berad said:LOL I know you were kidding but, really Synder has always been a cheapskate - just not with the salary cap.
He gouges fans for little things and his businesses do the same things to consumers. Maybe he is becoming a total cheapskate, based on the weird stuff going on with their offseason this year.
Yeah, I noticed when he shipped off his only option at QB with $70M+ to spare.

Saving stars? When did Daniel Snyder become a cheapskate. You better go out there and pull another earth-shattering splash like back in 2009 to reclaim your spot as Offseason King. I can already see it, C "Almost" C is going to play for the Redskins for $20M per year.
1 hour ago, RavensFanMania said:In most cases the top free agents get signed. This is no different that previous years. The biggest part of it is being down three players from previous years. Crush, Andrew, and Inqui.
I remember back in the day, everyone had 2 teams to manage. I remember trading between my two teams to max out the talents was a fun option.
1 hour ago, RavensFanMania said:Wow, we typically have people drop out, but this seems to be excessive, especially this early in the game.
It's cause all the top free agents got tagged, so they got a lot of money, but not enough talent.
Give the new owners time to reassess their rosters, especially giving them an extension on franchise, RFA, or ERFA. But then, who cares, some GMs in real life have done worse (Matt Millen). Can't have too many CBs in the game anyways.
10 minutes ago, -Truth- said:To be brutally honest, your SoF page is a mess. You've created your own column to calculate the exact total saved on the cuts, rounding the total afterwards, when everyone has been instructed to round the savings of each individual cut. That itself wasn't done correctly because the savings of Adrian Clayborn's $4,250,000 were rounded down to 4 Stars when it should've been rounded up to 4.5 Stars. The formula for the Total Starting Cap has been altered for to use a different calculation to attain the same figure as the original calculation, making the change pointless. I'll reiterate a point I've made several days ago. Don't meddle with the formulas. Don't add any extra columns, especially since the formulas are calculated to register numbers from specific cells. It only serves to impede the universal accuracy that was established. Just punch in the names and numbers and let it work for you.
But I'm going to add a bunch of stuff to it...

The Google Doc is an innovation, folks! Makes it easy
Nah, too much accounting...
I thought this was just some airchair GM job, but feels like a finance & accounting HW.

Most of the top players were wisely franchise tagged. Now it's going to be a seller's market for all the players that were able to get past the crack. I believe the minimum price on most of the players that deemed worthy will be the franchise value. Good thing, my team was already assembled with very little weaknesses compared to a lot of teams. The recent NBA transactions is probably a good indicator on what type of stars will be thrown around. For example Timofey Mozgov gets paid more than Stephen Curry at the moment, which shows how desperate some of these teams are.
As much as I want to get into the action of trading, I'll probably going to wait it out until a desperate team comes along.
No point of dismantling the #1 Offense and a young and emerging defense that barely cost anything.
Just want to see how the free agency market is going to go wild.
1 hour ago, -Truth- said:Just saw that somebody was duplicating pages in the SoF. Please don't meddle with the file itself. If you have any issues, PM me. I'll sort it out.
Is it up yet?
1 minute ago, -Truth- said:Hurts to part with a solid No.2 in Michael Crabtree, but Aldon Smith's recent escapades have me on full alert. At least now I can pencil in Clark at LE, Mack at RE and Irvin at SLB if Smith isn't reinstated. Even then, that's a pretty solid trio of pass rushers.
Truth making a killing through the trades.
