That's what I'm trying to figure out. We have pick 7, then 9, 10, 11 12 and then the Eagles posted the 14th pick. Usually in the draft, teams jump other teams if they let the time run out. I think we need a Mod to edit the posts so it goes 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13. That way when the Panthers finally do pick, he can jump in whenever. So say I make my pick which would now technically be 15, he makes a pick after me which would be the 16th pick. This is just confusing me now.

    He's pulling a Viking...

I would prefer Zeitler. This guy was surrounded by a lot of talent in Arizona that limited the space he covered. I would prefer us trying to get some return on our near $30million QB. And put a dominant line in front of him now.

I guess Ozzie has a plan because we have so many holes to fill, yet he went to double down on a pretty good safety tandem.

  3. I feel like Ozzie has a 50% track record on 2nd rounders. However, it's interesting that only one was resigned. Maybe Ozzie thinks 2nd rounders are just complementary starters. However, not everyone can get a contract extension if Ozzie keeps getting good players to keep throughout the draft. However, it's different to see Ozzie spending more money in free agency since the recent drafts haven't produce a lot of gems.

Having foster and Mosley would be insane. We would have best ILB duo hands down

    I don't know...

If it was 15 years ago, having two stud Linebackers like Ray Lewis and Peter Boulware would've wrecked offenses.

However, it is a passing league and it seems Old-school LBs are going away with coverage WLB or Moneybackers like Mark Barron and Deone Buchanon.

  5. I'm thinking Ozzie is going to take a shot on some small school players like Taylor Moton to beef up our running game.

I wonder moving Alex Lewis to RT is a good option since he is built like a tackle.

  6. DB is so deep, I don't mind double dipping this year. I have a feeling one of those late 1st rounders like Quincy Wilson, Adoree' Jackson or even Ahkello Witherspoon.

I can easily name 5 other names that are in that range.

I say go with the strength of the draft.

Jimmy Smith ain't getting younger or more durable.

Tavon Young is perfect for the slot.

The rest of the DB is in shambles.

Let the rookies battle it out for the 2nd outside spot.

We just have to believe in Marty to fix our offense.

  7. We been rebuilding ever since we lost Ray Lewis and Ed Reed.

At least, we landed some key pieces with CJ Mosley and Eric Weddle.

We had the best shot to return to the Super Bowl in 2014 with Kubiak's offense until we got Belichicked like the Falcons.

We can't laugh at the Falcons when we threw away a 14 point lead.

  8. Ozzie is human, but at least he gets it right unlike whoever is running the Browns.

Browns Last 5 years of 1st Rounders:

    2012 Trent Richardson - RB - BUST
    2012 Brandon Weeden - QB - BUST
    2013 Barkevious Mingo - OLB - BUST
    2014 Justin Gilbert       -  CB - BUST
    2014 Johnny Manziel   -  QB - BUST
    2015 Danny Shelton     -  DT - Solid
    2015 Cameron Erving  -   C - Positional Bust
2016 Corey Coleman   -  WR - Injury Bug

Ozzie can't screw up that many 1st rounders.

  9. Let's see the market value of Torrey Smith first.

I would for very fair price like around 4 millions.

Perriman, Wallace, and Smith will make a pretty good track team.

However to use their potential fully, we have to sign or draft quality offensive linemen to give Flacco time.

However, if we rebuild our running game, then those fakes are really going to hurt defenses.

  10. So it's basically resigning Matt Elam, if he turned out good. When Johnathan Cyprien was on board, I thought he was going to be our pick because he was the FS we wanted to replace Ed Reed. However, Cyprien wasn't an All-Pro, but he was much more productive, which we could've used in the past 4 years. Now we have our two outfielders with Eric Weddle and Tony Jefferson.

Ozzie needs to go with what he is at best in the first round

  11. Honestly, I thought Forum shut down when I couldn't find it on the BR.com homepage.

Hands down, one of the best forums online with a complementary moderating staff.

I guess the younger generations don't use forums since the higher-ups did their research and found out the no enough people using this forum.

Just like the Compact disc, eventually everything will fade away. Time for us old-timers to move shop and join new places.

Thank you Br Forum for all the wonderful memories and analyses you have provided.
