I wouldn't be so sure.
Jerry Jones can do whatever he wants with is team because as long as he is in charge, it's one less team to worry about.
Thanks God we're not Cowboys' Fans.
I don't know how the Cowboys still the number one team in the USA on value and fan-base.
Perfect Example of Terrible Management:
Pay 1st Round Pick (Sheldon Richardson), 4th Round Pick, and $16 Million for 10 month rental of a CB (Not a QB).
It could be that Monroe priced himself out of a deal. If he's asking for $10M+ annually, other teams could shy away.
Only the Raiders have the cash to burn and can give in to Monroe's demand, if all their target OTs are gone.
I think Miami is going double dip on Offensive Tackles.
They're probably going to spend all their cap on offensive line after last year's dismal performance.
Wouldn't be surprised since they doubled last year on linebackers.
As for the Raiders, they might buy a whole new defense with the amount of free agents out there on that side of the ball.
So Anthony Collins for 4 years $26 million ($6.5 million per year) anyone?
$10 M per year isn't as bad as it look. Come on, 2016 cap is predicted to be upward of $150 millions. If we're off by $1 million, then Ozzie should finish the deal by either adding more guarantees or bigger incentives. Come on Ozzie, we can get this deal done, unless Monroe got offered $12+ Million per year by the Fins, which by then, we can't contest.
I think Ozzie is probably going to double up on LTs this year, if Eugene Monroe gets away and gets overpaid by the Raiders, Buccaneers, Dolphins, or Cardinals.
I say Anthony Collins could be the target Ozzie is looking for because he has the best potential to overproduce his value at around $5 million per year, but I think a team might overpay him.
Also, in the draft, we don't have a shot on Greg Robinson or Jake Matthews, who are both top 10 picks. Taylor Lewan could be within range for us, but I don't think he will get past the Giants or the Steelers.
I'm assuming Ozzie will take a very hard look at Zach Martin, but we are prone to get jumped ahead of if a team loves Zach Martin a lot.
If the top four LTs of the draft are gone by the time we pick, then Ozzie has to trade down and reach for Richardson, or wait and gamble for Hurst to be available in the 2nd round.
This free agency is going to be interesting and tough for the front office because they're going to be competing with a lot of teams for that left tackle spot.
I say 5 year $50 million is probably the max Ozzie is willing to go with Eugene Monroe since we didn't franchise tagged him. I'm assuming Ozzie has plenty of options to get a LT for cheaper if Monroe decided to get paid like a top 5 or even a top 3 LT.
Other LT Options:
Branden Albert
Jared Veldheer
Anthony Collins - Very Underrated, but a team could overpay him, just hope it's not us
Roger Safford - Probably the cheapest serviceable LT due to his injury history
LT Draftees:
Greg Robinson
Jake Matthews
Taylor Lewan
Zach Martin - Can fit in a lot of roles
Antonio Richardson
James Hurst - Probably a 2nd day pick due to injury
OT-Needy Teams:
St. Louis Rams
Oakland Raiders
Miami Dolphins
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Arizona Cardinals
New York Giants
Cincinnati Bengals
Carolina Panthers
Green Bay Packers
Pittsburgh Steelers
However, we saw a trend last year that teams were willing to spend draft picks on LTs to cover the right tackle spot, so they can groom their young tackles, while having two quality OTs for the offense.
RT-Needy Teams:
Jacksonville Jaguars
Atlanta Falcons
Tennessee Titans
Seattle Seahawks
New York Jets
New Orleans Saints
Clearly, there's just enough LT tackles for everyone, but not enough for everyone if they're hoarding the LTs.
We gave Ngata $12 million per year, but he was the best NT of that time.
just tag him
So what's the worst case scenario if we lose out on Eugene Monroe?
Alex Mack?
Jared Veldheer?
Branden Albert?
Good thing we locked up Flacco for a while because I wouldn't doubt a team would throw $25 million for a starting QB these days.
Hurry up and lock up Monroe and Pitta because there's a lot of teams with money to burn for quality players. However, if both of those players are looking for money instead of winning, then I say let them walk and use the money to get quality players elsewhere.
I believe that if and once Gary Kubiak turns our offense in a top ten one, then he will be offered head coaching jobs. We might not be able to keep Gary Kubiak for more than one season. Just look at Jim Caldwell after he turned our offense for a magical run in the playoffs last year.
So whatever happens, I hope Rick Dennison is next in command, unless he follows Gary Kubiak for a new team.
I'm not sure Garrett Graham is really a difference maker. We're cap strapped, Ozzie has to pick value veterans very carefully.
Can't afford another Huff or Spears
We can't get any worse than this year on offense, so might as well go out this upcoming season.
1. Lock up the all-star offensives coaches
2. Resign Eugene Monroe and other free agents to help the team
3. Draft Offensive players and protection
4. Rebuild and reinforce the offensive scheme
5. Produce a top 10 offense
OC: Gary Kubiak
QB Coach: Kyle Shanahan
OL: Rick Dennison
Looks like we're probably putting together the Texans Offense.
I hope this draft we pick like this.
1. Offensive Weapon
2. Offensive Weapon
3. Offensive Protection
4. Offensive Protection
5. BPA
6. BPA
6. BPA
7. BPA
We need to address our offense through this draft and need to give Flacco as many weapons and protection as possible.
We all saw what that dismal offensive personals and scheme did to Eli Manning and Colin Kaepernick.
All those guys have been to the Super Bowl and can play elite football. They just need talent and right scheme to make them unstoppable.
Ozzie make it happen by bringing in a gun-slinging madman as our offensive coordinator, resigning Eugene Monroe, drafting players like Mike Evans to wreck havoc on DBs, and stocking up on TEs, OLs, and more weapons for Flacco. We can't do any worse than last year and heck Flacco should be able to play like Peyton Manning by now since he's getting paid like him.
Maybe we shouldn't get recycled OCs and go for a fresh new OC.
get Ray Horton!!!
Put him as a D-line coach or something
No to Kubiak because his offense is all based on the run game. Once the run game is gone, then it's downhill from there.
Kyle Shanahan is someone I would look into since he knows the ZBS, but he's also bringing in the WCO, which is not part of Flacco's strength.
Hue Jackson... Ravens need to pull the trigger on this guy since he can work magic on the team like he did with the Bengals Running Game.
Send Jim Caldwell back to QB Coach!
Jets are on him...
If the Jets sign him then there is the Dawan Landry and Ed Reed backfield reunion.
Landry before the neck injury was a stud for us back then.
Reed will most likely retire after this season.
We'll probably sign him on that one day contract so he can retire as a Raven.
For now, I doubt we're interested in signing a broken and unmotivated aged player who is way past his prime.
Come on, we even cut Michael Huff. I doubt we sign Reed when he can't even beat the 3rd stringers in Houston.
I like my team flying under-the-radar.

You guys know at this rate, Jerry Jones won't have enough cap space to lock up his next wave of talent (Dez Bryant, Tyron Smith, Demarco Murray).
