  1. We all seen this before... Our LB Corps is that good that Arthur Brown is a benchwarmer for us, while a starter for many. I say we just let it ride since we need the depth and if one of our two stud LBs get injured. Paul Kruger didn't do anything for almost 3 years and then he blew up in the last year to get his contract.
  2. Eric Winston, Ozzie is on the phone.
  3. Ngata is going to the DE, so he doesn't get wore down as much from the double teams.
  4. As long as we end up with an All-Pro and couple starters with this draft, then I'm satisfied. Never question the Oz and he did good on not picking for need, but BPA.
  5. Sheldon Richardson is a stud! And I hope Mosley and Jernigan become studs too. As for our offense, we just have to work with what we got.
  6. I think at this point of the draft, we should just stick with our current Wide Receiver Corps, than try to get another rookie WR. We already have our starters with the Smithses. I'm curious to see how much development comes through for Marlon Brown, Aaron Mellette, and Deonte Thompson. Jacoby Jones to me should be a good situational deep threat/ special teamer.
  7. Good point, I think rest of the league were going wild with the offensive players, that quality defensive players that fell on the Ravens' lap were too good to pass. I commend the Front Office for going BPA, instead of reaching for needs.
  8. I know the defensive coaches are very happy with this draft, but Gary Kubiak and company might have to wait next year.
  9. First Two Picks are BPA, and if any of them become a Pro-Bowler, then the draft is a success. The 3rd Rounders seem to be draft for needs, and I know Ozzie has been hitting and missing those picks, but if any of them becomes a starter, then the draft is a success. Now let's see if we land any hidden gems tomorrow.
  10. I guess Crocker is the inline blocking TE that the team wanted. To me, it looked like a draft for need, in which we got our blocking TE to compensate Dennis Pitta and Owen Daniels.
  11. Looks like we're beefing up our front seven. However, I'm interested how Jernigan is going to fit our scheme.
  12. People are too short-sighted. The Draft is all about the future. When you have a chance to draft a player who can lock down a position for a decade, then you do it, even if you already have players for that position. Now, we all will have to wait 3 years, to see if Ozzie made the right choice. However, draft history has shown us that the Crimson Tide players haven't been delivering their draft status as a whole since there's been too many busts. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Alabama_Crimson_Tide_players_in_the_NFL_Draft
  13. what we spent a 5th Rounder??? I thought we could've fleeced the Bucs more like a 7th Rounder since they were going to release him anyways. Also, the reworked contract better be good since we put a pick on the line. I'm going to wait to see all the details before going judgment day!!!
  14. 3 years ago, I drafted Russell WIlson in the 6th Round to be a back-up for Tom Brady.
  15. "Ravens sign WR Steve Smith (3 years, $11M; $3.5M bonus): MILLEN BLOOD AND GUTS KIELBASA Grade Ozzie Newsome is one of the top NFL general managers, but he's only human. He's made draft selections that haven't worked out, and he's signed some free agents who have disappointed. This looks to be Newsome's worst transaction ever. It's mind-boggling that Steve Smith received a $3.5 million signing bonus and an $11 million deal. Smith doesn't deserve any sort of signing bonus based on the way he played last year, and to be honest, I was expecting him to sign a 1-year contract for the veteran minimum. Smith is done. He has lost his elite speed. He failed to register more than 69 yards in a single game this past season. He's no longer a starting-caliber receiver. He's also a potential locker room distraction. This signing makes zero sense. The only possible reason for bringing Smith in is to energize the team and fan base following a mediocre 2013 campaign, and that doesn't even come close to justifying this sort of contract for a has-been." http://walterfootball.com/freeagents2014recap.php Well this signing could be another Michael Huff or another Derrick Mason.
  16. The Wizard is at it again!
  17. any updates on Chris Clemon?
  18. That's our center that we were waiting for. He probably got cut because he wasn't going to fit Jay Gruden's power running offense. However, he's perfect for the zone blocking. Also, since he was released, he won't count against the draft compensation. I think he's coming in for a visit real soon.
  19. Come on Ozzie! Offer him a crabcake dinner and two year $5 million ($2.5 million guaranteed). Ozzie always adds an extra year for salary cap purpose.
  20. We need depth because we only have these guys on our team. WR Corps: Torrey Smith Marlon Brown Jacoby Jones Aaron Mellette Free Agent 2014 Draftee On the Bubble: Deonte Thompson
  21. We need more weapons!!!
  22. This was the reason, I decided not to do the mock offseason again. The waiting drove me insane... Now I don't have to worry about all this shenanigans.
  23. Hope he learned from last year's free agency where he picked up free agent bust Michael Huff and Marcus Spears. But history tells us that Ozzie will again look for veterans who were released and motivated to win (cough, Steve Smith, cough). Smith could be another Michael Huff or the Boldin we were missing.
  24. heard we're close... https://twitter.com/AKinkhabwala/status/443364829974507520
  25. I think Alex Mack is overrated. How come Trent Richardson had a dismal year behind such a promising O-line. Trent's rookie year showed much promise, but this year everything fell apart.
