  1. I would say that's under an "elite performance" rather than labeling a QB elite or in a top tier
  2. I still think Webb is overpaid lol
  3. Better start praying if you think Steelers lose to Bills and Bengals lol.... we have to beat them week 16.
  4. Wow! Haven't thrown outside yet lol Marty put in work this week! He said "these LB are poo in coverage so we throwing there all day"..: until they drop there safeties then watch Wallace and Permian catch balls on the outside!
  5. I can't find a puking emoticon, but this will do....
  6. yea, there certainly are different ways to allocate the money. Having a high paid Oline means 3/4 guys need to be paid, unless you wait years and don't miss in the draft like Dallas. If you pay 3/4 guys on the OL and say 2/3 on the DL well those drafts can't miss and you're QB has to be cheap. I mean every QB whose been in the league a few years with some success is getting 18+mil/year This is a great conversation to have with plenty of theories.
  7. Some are thinking next year will look like this... LT Stanley, LG Yanda, C Zuttah, RG Ducasse, RT Lewis. I don't buy it..
  8. data to back up? I'm bored at work so I checked lol 2014 Browns West had carries of 18/5.2ypc...19/3.6ypc... 26/3.6ypc. Other games receiving 7-15carries. He avg. 3.8 ypc 2016 Ravens carries of 21/5.4ypc... 23/3.8 ypc... 21/3.1 ypc. Other games receiving 8-15 carries He avg. 3.8 ypc I'd say he's pretty consistent no matter the touches lol so two out of six games he's eclipsed 4ypc. Most agree Dixon needs the ball more.
  9. curious about all the upgrade at center talk. We're expecting Biscotti to eat a lot of dead money next off season, no? (Zuttah,Pitta,Webb, Arrington, and still Monroe)
  10. I'm not sure KO was "let go", it was practically impossible to sign him due to teams cap space. Next year with cuts and draft contracts we should have around 12-15mil in cap space I believe? Will make it interesting to see how they pursue BWill and the Oline.
  11. Since we dreaming lol Imagine if the cowboys draft day trade went through.... Weddle and Ramsey back there ruthless. (no idea what the oline would look like but we talking safety right now! lol) The vibe I'm getting from virtually everyone on this board is either A) Bwill has played out of our price tag or B ) "sign him at all costs" lol My question would be.. the instant reaction is that we draft DL too well and have depth at DL to pay for what BWill is going to get. Logical. But, we have paid top DT's (Ngata) in the past. So why not Bwill? It depends how vital they view BWill I guess?
  12. Well I'm definitely not one of those guys writing off Perriman or Maxx. It's sad what has happened to Pitta, but he's not the the same and right now his $$ don't make sense. Maxx should be the TE of future, I don't disagree there. But I can't see them ready to turn the TE job over to Maxx/Boyle in 2017.
  13. little backwards though for Ravens.. 9-2 headed into Dec. and dropping 4 of 5.. vs.. this year 6-5 heading into Dec. needing to win 4 of 5.
  14. It really is crazy how it turned out. Can't see them spending money on a TE though knowing Gillmore, Maxx and Boyle will be back in '17. And Ben coming off his Achilles tear. If anything, they'll let Pitta go.
  15. wellllllllll yes and no. Yes, it hasn't produced more points. BUT the offense has been more productive since the bye and it certainly feels like we're at the point of being capable to produce enough points to win games .... there's a reason Gillmore was playing ahead of Maxx and Boyle. The dudes a beast! He's had trouble staying healthy, but his talent out ways his price tag so keeping him around makes sense.
  16. lol agreed... We can drop the NE game and still win the division
  17. 100% the MIA game is bigger. I like our chances against MIA rather than @NE.. making this a must win.
  18. True, but no gronk is massive. Ravens ain't bad @ Gillette though!
  19. Not really sure about this. Flacco typically takes responsibility and has never pushed blamed on anyone else even when it's warranted.. and 1 game of low targets for SSS/Wallace isn't as issue. They both avg. 7 targets/game
  20. It's a different game these days, I find it hilarious watching old Ravens games even as late as 2009. Watching Mcclain and Lorenzo Neal run around lol But yes, this is a must win game with NE and Pitt coming up and Flacco needs to be extremely efficient sunday. How well we run the ball will play a huge role. Also, MIA averages 109yd/game rushing since their bye and AJayi's breakout... so I feel the front 7 can withstand the MIA ground game. Simple in theory, but means we likely need to go 5-1 maybe 4-2 (and beat Pitt) in this 6 game stretch
  21. Exactly. Jimmy has high football IQ, understands the playbook and does his job extremely well..he's almost always in the right position. He isn't on an island with top dogs, but when he's on the field he knows where his help is and can bracket a top WR extremely well. That allows the defense to do a lot of different things in coverage... One being, as to your point, Tavon receiving strong safety help when covering a wr1.
  22. I want Gillmore back so bad it hurts...
  23. Great post, but Week 6 did backfire because it would have been 27-26 and the last drive of the game we were in FG range (needed a TD in reality). That being said, if the game was 27-26, Giants may have done things differently with their last offensive position and/or played defense differently on the last drive knowing a FG would win. So who knows.
  24. Honestly, I like what Marty's been doing. He's been making Joe's job much easier with bunch formations, rub routes, simpler reads, crossing routes and RB options. Once play action becomes a thing Joe will succeed further. The absence of a real TE is notable this year.
