Shouldnt it be worth noting that in 31 other stadiums our defense would have come up with a stop instead of giving up 57 & 56 yd field goals? Those two drives and 6 points are the difference maker in the game. Defense looks good and offense looks new.
This is going to be a very close game. I think we have the overall edge in personnel but execution and turnovers will determine the outcome. Both teams know each other very well so that isn't a big difference maker. I think the weakness in Denver's offensive line will prove to be the edge that we exploit. Pass coverage by our linebackers will be the area they try to exploit. Baltimore 27 Denver 24.
I dunno I think Mosley and Smith can play sideline to sideline. I'm most concerned about Webb being turned around by Manning. I think your right tho, if we get to Manning from the DL our secondary should be fine.
Take your TIME Jernigan. Lewis-Moore is more than capable of playing, especially with Davis. Lewis-Moore is going to have a breakout year this year when he finally gets to play the season. I think KLM is being crazy over looked cause of injuries the past two years even by the Ravens own reporters.
Isn't he pretty much slated to sign w/ Seahawks.
Last I heard they were dancing around it, and it was pretty much a done deal...BUT we got Dumervil off that fax screwup so I figure we can snatch players that we really want.
Oz Please Call Fred Jackson!! Him on the goal line (if Forsett hasnt already run it in from 45 yds out) would be awesome in this offense!!
Call Fred Jackson!!
No surprises there really. My guess is if the current TE squad are performing then Pitta gets IR after PUP and retires next off season. I wish it not to be true but can see this scenario most likely. Urban gets IR/DTR before next roster move.
Thats what I thought at the start of this offseason too; but (and this may just be wishful thinking) Pitta has had his nose into everything the team has been doing this offseason. I think he is eyeing a return with the recognition that there are only 160 people in the WORLD on an NFL roster.
It is astounding to me that we haven't really given Joe the potent weapons other QBs seem to have. An example being Matt Ryan - Julio Jones, etc., Andy Dalton - Green, etc., Ben Roethlisberger - Antonio Brown, etc. Come on front office, break the bank and make a trade for a #1 WR if necessary. Give Joe the tools to be successful.
I think it is for the same reason that Rodgers, Brady*, Peyton, and Brees are all throwing to no names..When your QB is that good, you can spend your money elsewhere on the team rather than spend big $ for the riskiest(mentally/boom-or-bust) position.
He will retire with one for each hand.
"And start the journey to San Fran."
One Raven already made it. Not a coincidence that the weekend after the super bowl a Raven is strutting around the site of THIS years SB; a sign of whats to come this year....

The only thing thats certain is, after a game that saw two of the best defensive performances in years, the Broncos pass rush will be lauded as guaranteed superbowl contenders; and the Ravens team will be deemed un-winnable...
