Well, conventional wisdom says that a 5-11 team isn't overly interested in retaining its entire roster from the prior season, because that wouldn't make much sense from a W/L perspective.

There will be plenty of cuts being made.

A 5-11 team doesnt usually have 2 FULL squads on IR(21).

Lets play a season with the current roster before we deem them 5-11 talent.

It all will change at the combine. All it will take is for Clemson's Lawson to show 4.5 speed and the rankings will jumble., Expect 4 or 5 surprises and disappointments, all having the "best" players batch, all jumbled up.

I sure hope Shaq is slow at the combine! I SO want him to fall to us in the 2nd!!

"Trade up"..From No. 6...to get a RB...in 2016? Um, What?? Not only is an RB one of the last positions of need on the roster (Buck, Lorenzo, & Forsett) but we are talking about the 2nd round for Thompson.

That pick No.6 is going to a pass-rusher, hands down.

Eisenberg should save us all some trouble and just go work for Cinci. Eisen's near constant push to paint the Bengals as the team of the future has been SO over played in the past decade that at this point it makes him look LESS connected to the world of football rather than more. The Bengals will always be a show team that doesnt have the heart or intransigencies of the Ravens and (i hate to say it) Steelers.

It will be an interesting off season. Will be sad to lose some of the players we are going to lose but we lose them every year. I would like to keep Osemele and Upshaw but we might not be able to do that. Ozzie will have a lot of work to do to get us back to the playoffs.

I think we should let Upshaw go in favor of keeping Osemele and Tucker. Those 2 should be the priority Re-signs this offseason

Dam do I hope we keep KO!! If we keep him and Monroe(or let monroe walk) then this offense is going to be stellar!  I mean we have about 75 receivers and 15 RBs that are going to be coming back from injury.

Is there a reason to not move Dennis Pitta to a slot receiver role and take the strain of blocking off his hip? Just keep him as Flaccos security..

Watching the players fight and win this season is getting me so hyped for when we have an injury free team!

Last time Flacco had that many weapons he got the hardware.. Spend the draft on pass rusher and ball hawk and this team can go the distance.

I admit I have not followed Austin in particular but what I have seen of him he is very fast, but besides that seems unimpressive. Ive seen a few drops and very pedestrian numbers...Is there something I'm missing/am I wrong??

Just so we are clear... the AFC North isn't anything close to a "tough division" in terms of offensive playcalling. The two best offense in this division are largely finesse teams who don't consistently run the ball that well and like to throw it a lot. They utilize speed and often creative play calling to accomplish this.

I was skeptical at the time of the signing and still skeptical now...I really think Trestman is too soft for the AFC North; these bullsh short passes to the flat on 3rd downs will NEVER work in this division.

I firmly believe we can ride Chris Givens to the playoffs this year. I think Givens will go down as an Anquan-level signing.

I said it when they traded for him..Givens is going to become a STELLAR wideout for us. I think by the end of the season we are looking at Givens as WR1.

Who is the backup center normally? I know it isn't Urschel on the depth chart but if he is the spot replacement center shouldn't he be used to taking these snaps in mock practice? It is called being prepared for any situation.

Did you not watch the game? Urschel played lights out blocking! If the cost of going from the starter to backup C is a few slow shotgun snaps but the protection is still there...I call that a win!

Side Note: I really hope that Oz will give Robert Meachem a call now!!

Trestman needs to start calling plays over the MIDDLE of the field. Enough of always attacking the sideline; the only time we move the ball is in hurry up when Flacco is allowed to take deeper shots down the middle!!
