Ive been one of his biggest fans, and still think he can play adequately, but with the skill on both sides of the ball, Flacco is holding this team back.

Flacco and 6th round pick for Rivers and the Lombardi comes to Baltimore again.

What for a guy (Rivers) who must be 50yrs old.

Yeah. Rivers has everything but the ring and would do anything to get it in his final years. Plus he easy has at least 5 good years left.

  2. And people still want to rag on Jimmy like he isn't holding his own. The problem in the secondary ain't Jimmy folks, it's Webb and whoever is lined opposite of Jimmy. It couldn't be more clear that the secondary takes a huge nose dive when Jimmy isn't out there. Ask OBJ.

Lardarius Webb has been a liability since his first knee injury!! There have been two plays in the past two weeks were Webb has given up and started jogging before the player has even crossed the endzone.

I've said it for years we need to CUT WEBB!!!

  3. I dont know if you can call the Trestman opinion and 'overreaction.'

Everyone was concerned when they hired him that he would play smash moth football and instead try and turn this team into a passing team..that WONT work in the AFC N.

Nothing in Trestman's recent coaching has indicated in any way that he will be a run-first OC.

..he wouldnt play smash mouth football...*

    spelling is dum.

How you not gunna put a SIXTY-ONE yard game winner as Tucker's best game??

The games before that were more exciting and higher stakes for the team..but for Tuck? Naw. He was the only Raven to score in the win over the Lions; and was it mentioned...SIXTY-ONE Game Winner!!

Yeah, I'd put that above the SB kicks but the one to win in Denver - in that freezing cold, double OT, divisional-round game was epic as well

Yeah, no doubt 1 and 2 right there!

(talking bout that divs still gives me goosebumps lol)

  5. I still think the way the draft order is awarded is nuts. The Jaguars beat us but because of strength of schedule they pick in front of us. I think that is fine in instances where there is not a head to head game and they both were 5-11, but when they are both 5-11 and one team loses to the other, then clearly the losing team should pick before the winning team. If there is no head to head then rely on strength of schedule but strength of schedule should never overrule a head to head meeting. That is common sense, something the NFL seems to lack any of. The difference between Ramsey and Stanley is one stupid decision by the NFL to toss out head to head competition in favor of strength of schedule. Someone needs to be jumping up and down and screaming to change this. Now if it was for the playoffs, head to head would overrule strength of schedule, but for some stupid reason, the draft order doesn't follow the same rules as the playoff order. How about one way to determine all of these things which is head to head competitions first and strength of schedule disposed of.

To be fair....the Ravens beat the Jaguars.

Unless 4 QBs are taken before us, I don't see Ramsey being a Raven on draft day. Even then, Jacksonville may still take him with their pick. But, I want so badly to be wrong.

    It could happen easily enough.

At this point it seems all but certain QB's are going 1 and 2.

Chargers would be hard pressed to pass up the best LT in the draft. They have T's right now but had similar health concerns at the position to Ravens. If the Ravens would most likely draft Tunsil, you can bet the Chargers would also being in a similar situation. Would also help them in the next stretch as they begin to prepare for life without Rivers over the next few seasons.

Dallas is a wildcard and could go several different directions. I personally see them leaning towards Bosa, Buckner or Eliott. They need help up front on D. A solid 3 down back is rare these days, and Eliott should thrive behind one of the top O lines. There secondary is pretty solid as of now, so I just don't see it being as bit a need which is generally the deciding factor for cowboys.

Jag's could also go a few directions but it seems likely they would take Jack over Ramsey IMHO. Jack can cover the middle very well so still helps your secondary, but they also need to get stronger up the middle and this would satisfy that aspect. Only issue here is what team doctors etc think about Jack's knee.

Not a guarantee but certainly not a long shot either. Really cannot see Ravens trading out now, unless someone is feeling very generous.

I'm with ya on almost all of it...cept I COULD see the Ravens trading out to the middle/late first and getting Noah Spence, plus a bunch of a extra picks.

Either way I REALLY hope Spence is a Raven; a kid who has world class talent, screwed up in life, owned up to it(!), and is now ready to move on with his life towards becoming top in the NFL..sounds like an Ozzie Newsome pick.

Plus I think the Ravens organization structure would be a huge benefit to Spence too.

I hope he gets back on track here!

    Cut West. Keep the rest.

Gotta think Taliaferro, West, and Richardson are all fighting for one spot. I think Forsett and Allen are locks while Taliaferro, West, and Richardson all play really similarly.

Agreed. But with how many injuries lately they may decide to keep 4 again. It may just be wishful thinking cause I just like Taliaferro a lot and wanna see him on the roster and healthy.

  8. After wondering, a few months ago, about Will Davis' recovery; only to see an article about it the next day(ESP?!), I thought it might help to have a topic on Team-News requests by fans. The request I have now is for more information on Jaylon Smith.

What are the chances, given how many picks the Ravens have in the middle of the draft, and that Jaylon Smith wont be playing until next year, that he is selected by Baltimore??

  9. I know its not a popular opinion but Webb is now, and has always been, a burden on the team. Think of a year where he lived up to his contract? Not flashes, but a whole year; an injury free year.....There hasnt been one since his rook contract.

I say to drop him and Lewis from that safety squad and give Elam one last shot at sticking around.
