  1. At first I hated this pick, but now in retrospect, it seems more sensible. The best QBs (Brady, Rodgers) kill zone defense. Now with the best safety tandem in the league, the Ravens need press corners. Remember Shareece playing 8 yards off the WR on every play? Now we have 3 corners who can press. Since Ozzie had the inside scoop on all the AL players, Foster (who I was hoping for) and Allen must have issues we don't know about. In any case, nailing the next 3 picks is imperative. I hope one of them is Juju.

I think both Allen and Foster had or has shoulder issues and received bad medical grades.

  2. I like Corey Davis a lot. I also like Mike Williams if we did decide to draft a WR 1rd I would be fine with either but, I still say we need to solidify that secondary first. We could've had the honey badger in 2013 but went with Matt Elam smh. Let's finally put this 1st Rd pick to good use!

LOL, there's 53 roster spots and a lot of them will be spent on guys who won't contribute beyond special teams.

If you're grand plan was to draft 2-3 corners in this draft and think they're going to come in right away and contribute, your expectations are unfounded.

This was always going to be a mix of FA corners (of which there isn't a ton) and rookies via the draft.

Bruh if you think this was a good move, your expectations of this teams performance must be seriously low. You get what you pay for! And in reality my "grand plan" wouldn't matter considering I'm a fan/spectator just as you are! I'm no guru or know it all but, I have seen many DB's come out of college and outperform tons of vets so, it's not out of the question to draft a corner that can be a plug and play guy. Tayvon being one. Bottom line is, I feel that Carr is not worth a dime, nothing you or anyone here can say to change that!

Crusader and Vitalvicious, are you guys kidding? I guess some just like to complain

No we aren't kidding nor complaining just stating facts that are readily available to anyone who chooses to look. I mean let's face it, when has Dallas had a great passing defense? I'll wait...when have you ever heard Carr's name thrown out as a top notch, elite or "good" CB? I'll wait! We are steadily taking on other teams washed up, has been DB's and it's annoying. I watch lots of football as I'm sure most fans here do as well...Carr at best is a "decent" CB worth a tryout, not a 4 yr possible deal.

You have got to be kidding. I watched last year's cowboys games in condensed version last night on NFL mobile and it's hard to rack up stats when no one throws at you. How many interceptions does J Smith have in his career. Very few because you can't catch what's throw to the other side of the field.

The Cowboys have zero cap room that's why they lost their WHOLE secondary from safeties to Claibourne going to the Jets and Carr coming here. They spent their dollars on the offensive line, now if you argue that's what we should do, you have a leg to stand on, but he is a solid, press, corner who is a great fit opposite J Smith. People forget the salary cap has increased astronomically in the last 4 years and a 6 mil contract is a lot less of the total percentage of total cap space, considerably, since 2012.

It looks like the Ravens are getting back to defense first, second and third and if the offense can get 16 points in a game, then we can win. How many times did we cry about the offense scoring and taking the lead in the fourth quarter and the defense giving up a winning score in the last minute of the game. I remember the "Immaculate Stretch" by Brown that kept us out of the playoffs. Maybe bend don't break is an obsolete strategy. Bend not break is for losers, winners say your not getting a yard.

Lmao not thrown at???? My goodness man I'm not gonna argue. The team stats don't lie, Dallas as a team and Carr has been one of the worst secondarys in the nfl for yrs. Once he left K.C he has sucked and that has been proven. 2015 he ranked 73rd in the league giving up a Passer rating of 117. Oh yea those are shutdown stats, you can put lipstick on a pig as the old cliché goes, guess what, it's still a filthy animal.

These arent really impressive performances. I'm not sure what you're getting at here.

certainly against these kinds of talents, the damage couldve been worse, but 70+ yards is still a lot. Giving up that kind of space is nothing to brag about.

I'm not so sure these guys have watched this guy get torched week in and week out! Smh then go point out 6 decent games he's had over 40 seasons. Lol just like everyone here got on me about the Watson pick, I remember saying I bet he doesn't even make it through 6 weeks. Heck he didn't even get out of preseason. I'm not impressed with the guy at all Rise. But we shall see.

    Why do you say that?

Is it because he held OBJ to 73 yards & 94 yards? Or is because he held AJ Green to 50 yards (0 TDs)? Or maybe because he held Mike Evans to 59 yards (0 TDs)? Then it must be Alshon Jeffery's 70 yards & 0 TDs? Jordy Nelson's 68 yards & 0 TDs?

Yeah, that guy is no good....

You can throw out any state you want to against certain players. Where does he rank amongst every cornerback in the league? If he was so "good" why are the horrible Cowboys so willing to let him go? A 30 yr old CB signing a 4 year contract is a JOKE!

  8. Aye yah yah, it'll be the same old stuff next season then. Vanilla offense, nothing exciting nor inventive. Gosh this is just amazing that there's so many talented, young, fresh offensive minds out there in college yet we stick the the same old boring stuff year after year, I couldn't tell you one play to where I was like "dang that's a nice lil wrinkle right there" or "man what a nicely designed play" Smh not a good start to the year!

Has anyone looked at the offensive line coach lately. Quarterbacks need protection and running backs need holes to run through. The offensive line has been porous, forget the injuries, other teams make do. We haven't had a good line for years. Maybe the blocking schemes need to be changed or the coach or both. Any comments.

I agree 100% our offensive line needs to be addressed as well.

  10. I'm not exactly sure of what needs to change but there's a huge disconnection be tween the players and coaches, it's evident in their play and preparation. Idk how many times I've read on these threads about us needing a secondary, or our secondary being our demise. How come it hasn't been addressed?!?!? Our offensive line got soft once K.O left, he's playing great for the Raiders if no one has noticed.

ONE of our problems is, we are always trying to find discounted players, Ozzie seems to like letting players go because he doesn't want to pay them, or thinks recycled players can get it done, either way it's finally catching up to us, along with a few mediocre drafts. I hope some changes come soon because the past few seasons post our Super Bowl run has been very disappointing to say the least.

I'm just as sick as you are. But I think play calling was actually pritty good this game. We just couldn't handle Brown without Jimmy. It seemed like every time we overload the box they threw and whenever we dropped extra players in coverage Bell would run for 7 or 8.

offensively, Joe put 1 up there for perriman, Waller, and Pitta but all 3 were dropped. Yes I don't expect any WR to catch those on a regular basis because they were really touch catches to make. But on any given Sunday that's 10-14 points. We came out with 6. That's game! And then juice made a fantastic play for that TD but had he fallen a yard or 2 short we would have run the clock out.

it was just that kind of a game. Tough fought game and the home team prevailed with 9 seconds left.

im just as heartbroken as anyone here but that's football. Win some and you lose some. I was much more disappointed with a few losses earlier in the season where we should have won 10 times out of 10. But oh well. If we have an offseason like last year were back on the map!

It just sux to have played so well, mount a great comeback only to watch the same episode that's been running for 14 weeks, get a lead and surrender it. We need to improve our secondary ASAP. We need a viable pass rush ASAP. Onice again out coached when it counts. Maybe my expectations for Ravens football need to be taken down a notch. I'm thoroughly disappointed in how our season ended but sometimes that's how the ball bounces.

Ozzie............please spend some money on a #1 cornerback, and please stop bringing in old has-been players from teams.

  12. I'm sick of losing games that we shouldn't lose, I'm sick of our defense folding when the game is on the line, I'm super sick of this PATHETIC patchwork secondary that we keep putting on display year after year, I'm sick of players in our secondary not playing their true position, I'm sick of our team being out coached week after week, I'm sick of the lame excuses after every loss, I'm sick of people/players being politically correct and not speaking the truth, I'm sick of dump down passes, I'm sick of terrible play calling in crucial moments of games!!!!!!!! Make some changes, this has gotten to be the same movie week after week and it's boring. Baltimore Ravens football should be a much better product than what has been displayed the last few years!!!!!
