  1. Good grief, more retreads. Asa Jackson......again. How many times do they bring this guy back before they finally admit yet another drafting mistake and let him go? He is just another in a long list of mediocre corner backs the Ravens have managed to collect. They kept lame Elam around long enough so that everyone stops questioning why they wasted a number one pick on him. Now he is "hurt". So what? They will do the same with average receiver Perriman. He makes a nice catch now and then, but his so called "speed" doesn't scare anyone and he drops as many as he catches. They will keep him around, making lame excuses, until they finally get rid of him. Just another in a long list of bad draft choices. That is why the Ravens are where they are.
  2. I usually don't agree with these writers, but, in this case, it is true. The Ravens do not finish off anyone, nor do they score enough TDs when given the opportunities. They are terrible on short yardage situations and Flacco is too inconsistent to lead a sustained drive to the end zone. Harbaugh is a terrible clock manager, constantly blowing needless time outs, and Flacco is no better. Three times last Sunday the Ravens were either penalized for Delay of Game or a time out had to be called to prevent it. The Ravens have one more chance to actually win a game before the break and before the competition gets a lot more difficult. They have blown three opportunities for breathing room and let downs. Now, they once again have their backs to the wall and it is no one's fault but theirs.
  3. Good grief! Average? Seriously? If that is average, I would hate to see what Below Average is. He has played terrible. Not all his fault, but he is supposed to be the leader of the offense. He should be picking everyone else up but he is not. Their poor play is a direct result of them having no faith in him, no matter what is written. Oh, yeah, haven't you heard? The Ravens number one draft choice IS the Odell Beckham. Perriman this and Perriman that. As a number one, he SHOULD be what Beckham is but he couldn't carry Beckham's shoes. The Ravens, for some crazy reason, were so enamored with Perriman that they ignored all the warning signs that he was nothing more than a mediocre receiver. OH he is so fast! Really? Then how come he can't get behind any cornerbacks?
  4. Wonder if they'll draft another super duper, fast as lightening receiver who can barely catch, and despite the speed, not get separation. Oh I'm sure they will find one. Perriman is 1000% bust way too much hype for him on this web site Absolutely right. I have been screaming about this wasted pick since they took this guy, flushing yet another number one pick down the drain. He was a ball dropper in college and he is a ball dropper in the NFL. He can't get separation either. When have you seen him beat the defender like Beckham did twice today? Now that is what a number one pick does. All this baloney about how fast Perriman is makes me sick. He hasn't gotten by any defender yet, and, even though he has made some tough catches, he misses too many times on lesser ones. He is to the offense what Elam is to the defense, a wasted draft choice. You can't blow this many high picks and be competitive.
  5. How can you not provide deep coverage on Odell Beckham? Twice he beat the Ravens corners and the safeties were no where around. This isn't pretender Perriman. This is a true number one wide receiver. They should have had him double covered all day. Instead he gets loose for two TDs. Everyone knows the Ravens can be beat deep. It is happening every game yet nothing is done to rectify it. Another ugly performance on both sides of the ball.
  6. Promise of what? More defeats? It was the same as the Redskins game, get an early lead, then to nothing. If this team gets more incompetent (assuming that is even possible), they will be a shoo in for a top 5 draft pick next year. Both the awful penalties called on the Giants, and the turnovers should have been enough to win the game, but, once again the abominable offense failed to produce. Just a terrible performance. Only Tucker, West, and Wallace did well The rest of them stunk to high heaven.
  7. 'Uncharacteristic"? Really? This looks like the same mistake prone defense from last year, where there is virtually no pass rush and the safeties are nowhere to be found on long passes. It has that all too familiar ring of defeat written all over it. When the impotent offense could only manage a measly 10 points in the first quarter and nothing in the second, it was the Redskins game all over again. Both the officials and the Giants tried to give this game to the Ravens, but the Ravens were too incompetent to take it. Other than Tucker, West, and Wallace, the rest of this sorry team would not be missed.
  8. OMG! Playoff positioning? Seriously? Does this look like a playoff team to anyone? The Ravens, if they were playoff caliber, would have won the last two games and the next two as well. After that, well, the big boys show up. Any "playoff" designs will take a serious hit then. The Ravens have too many weaknesses, especially on offense, to contend. Instead of drafting more wide receivers, they would have been better off getting Joe some protection. Until they wake up and realize what is important, the Ravens will be an also ran.
  9. Good for him. I am glad for him to get a chance with someone else. He is a good guy and deserves for some team to want him. Wish him all the best.
  10. The Ravens needed to win those two games they just gave away. After their week off, they have games against a lot of tough teams. If they can't beat the likes of Oakland and the Redskins at home, I shudder to think what will happen to them against Pittsburgh, New England, Philadelphia, or Dallas. Even the up and down Bengals are going to be a challenge. Without decent blocking, Joe is vulnerable. He is more like Eli Manning than Peyton. He is inconsistent as heck, throwing an awesome pass then following it up with a real clunker. Just like with Ohr and the Blind Side baloney, the media makes Joe out to be more than what he is. With a good cast, he can flourish, but he cannot put the team on his back and carry them.
  11. His decision or not, I for one am glad Mornhinweg is getting his chance. He has to adapt to help his O-line. Let's see what we receive. While I agree that the guy deserves a chance, why didn't Harbaugh give it to him instead of bringing in Trestman? If he was such a good candidate, he should have had the job. I still don't think that will solve the problems, but at least the offense should be more interesting moving the ball downfield instead of laterally. Too many passes short of the first down marker and too many times we fail on third and one. If improvements are seen in these areas, then we can get excited. Oh,, and the Perriman crowd who salivates at his speed I say so what? If he can't catch the ball what good is speed? Furthermore I have not seen him outrun a defender yet. He has not gotten behind them. Ugh.
  12. What? Baloney. Harbaugh's decision, my eye. It he "contemplated" it during the off season, what the heck was he waiting for? His offense has stunk up the place and ONLY NOW he decides to act? He did it to save his own skin. Oh and here we go with the "injury excuses" again, just like last year. As soon as a starter gets hurt, the excuse makers come out. That is crap. If the Ravens brain trust did its job, the injuries could be covered. Even if Joe goes down, Mallett, while not Joe, could be effective with a proper supporting cast. Lame excuse after lame excuse producing the same results.
  13. Oh yeah, it was "his call". Even he saw the writing on the wall. If he didn't do something, and fast, the next call was going to be to him. While Harbaugh is here, he won't hire a guy who can think for himself. He got rid of all the leaders who didn't agree with him, yet all we heard from the media was how this was Harbaugh's Team. Well, now you have it, Harbaugh's Team. Still think that is such a great thing?
  14. Oh, baloney. You can bet this wasn't Harbaugh's decision. If it was, why did it take so long to realize that his offense was stinking up the place? Changing the offensive coordinator may or may not be effective, because the line is still a problem and the receivers who can't get open and when they do, drop passes, are still problems. Joe will always be Joe, an inconsistent quarterback, who one moment is brilliant and the next is bordering on awful. He is what he is, not a Tom Brady, who can take charge and win a game. He needs the supporting cast to be successful, and the Ravens haven't provided it. Their drafts have produced nothing to protect him, and wasting top picks on the likes of Elam and Perriman. You can't do that and be successful.
  15. If anyone thinks that this is the only thing wrong with this inept offense, then they are delusional. We have an offensive line that can't pass block. We have receivers who drop passes every game. We have a quarterback who short arms passes into the ground, throws over people's heads, and doesn't hit the receiver in stride. Even though Trestman's scheme sucked, it was not the only problem. The players need to prove they can do their jobs as well.
  16. It is embarrassing to watch this so called offense blunder its way through the game. Too many three and outs. Too many mistakes. By now, the excuses don't work. They are just not a good team, period. They haven't played anyone good yet, but oh, that is coming soon. If you think they looked bad against the Raiders and Redskins, wait until they play Pittsburgh, New England, Philadelphia, and the Cowboys. Even Cincinnati, which was pretty bad today, will feast on them. It is going to be brutal. The only good that may come of it is that Harbaugh and his whole incompetent crew will be fired. Fingers crossed on that one.
  17. What about the other one that he let slip off his fingers? At least he caught the pass at the end but all too many times does he drop them. He was a pass dropper in college, and he is the same in the NFL. All we read about was how fast he is. Baloney. I have not seen him behind the defender once in the five games this year. If he was as good as the Ravens and the Raven media portrays, he would be out there more, certainly as a starter. He IS NOT, and as a first round draft pick, he is a bust.
  18. I like Mosley and the intensity he plays with, BUT, I can't believe he was stupid enough to flip the ball forward into the end zone. If you look at the replay, he didn't reach it, he tossed it and lost it. That was the turning point of the game. There were a lot of blunders today but this was a biggie.
  19. I have no problem with the attempt. What I have a problem with is being dumb enough to line up your right footed kicker on the side where he is going to kick with his left. That telegraphed the whole thing to anyone with even half a brain. As soon as I saw the formation, I knew what they were up to. I can't believe that the Redskins didn't.
  20. Steve Smith would have made no difference. This offense is just pathetic. 10 points in the first quarter and nothing the rest of the game. Lord help them when they line up against a good team. Losing to the likes of Oakland was bad enough, but the Redskins stink and our great offense with the so called All Pro quarterback can't manage one score against them. Just awful.
  21. If we have a bad offensive line, it is no one's fault except Ozzie Newsome. Instead of drafting WRs, like ball dropper Perriman, he should have been paying attention to the needs of the line. Jensen and Hurst are terrible. It is still a patchwork line. Look at the success of the Patriots. They don't give a crap about wide receivers and tight ends. They pay attention to protecting their bonafide Pro Bowl quarterback and whomever else has to take his place. That is why they win and we don't.
  22. O wow, the Ravens activated Darren Waller. Ho hum. So what? Another tight end is not the solution to our offensive woes. Anyone who has watched the first 4 games can see the problems, the offensive line and the lousy play calling. Stop throwing the ball short of the first down marker on third down and get someone who knows how to make one yard on third down and maybe the offense will move forward. Just frustrating to watch how inept we are on short yardage situations.
  23. How long are we going to read this kind of crap? Hurst and Jensen both stink. They were downright awful last week against the Raiders. It is time to get rid of the both of them. I don't care who we put in there, neither of them can do the job. They are going to get Joe put out for the year. I hope Harbaugh wakes up before it is too late.
  24. Oh for crap sake. If this country had a lick of sense, marijuana would be legalized. Be that as it may, he KNOWS it is illegal and he did it any way. One more slip and he should be history. He is not irreplaceable and he had better get his head on straight if he doesn't want to be out of the NFL.
  25. O just great, another druggie. Just what we need. Apparently we don't have enough suspended players and inept safeties. Now we pick up someone else's troubles. If he was any good, the Jaguars wouldn't have let him go for only one violation. Ugh.
