  1. While I like Brandon Williams, signing him will not fix the Ravens problems. I hope a deal can be worked out, but mortgaging the team for him would be another huge mistake. Oh yeah, teams should spend big money on pass rushers and cornerbacks. How well has that worked for the Ravens? Cornerbacks who can't cover and no pass rush. The Ravens should pay close attention to what Belichick does. He wins year after year because he isn't afraid to cut loose these guys who would cost his team big bucks.
  2. Oh, ONLY 8 things to fix. Whew, that is a relief. I thought this was serious. Of those 8 things that need fixing, I don't see any solutions being offered. Example: Get more speed on the field? From where? Retired Olympic sprinters perhaps. Or Find Red zone options? What are they? If they haven't "found" any in 7 games, chances are they don't "have" any. Good grief.
  3. "First place on the line"? Seriously? Where do they dream up this stuff and what are they smoking? Lose 4 in a row in giveaways and have the nerve to write about "first place". By the time November is over, only Cleveland will be looking up at the Ravens. Just terrible the way they have lost the last 4. Complete breakdown starting at the top. If anyone thinks a magic wand will appear and solve the Ravens many issues, they are nuts.
  4. I said it when they acquired Hester and I will say it again. There is a reason he was available. He is over the hill. It is as bad as the team that gave a washed up Ed Reed a $5 mil contract then cut him after 4 games. The Ravens seem to love these name players whose best days are long gone.
  5. More Troll drivel again...... If according to your theory, Ray & Ed won the Super Bowl, then why didn't they win it during their prime years? You know, those prime years where we also had Suggs, NGata, McAlister, Bart Scott, Jarrett Johnson in their prime years? How do you explain that? You can't. Even that team went 5-11. Because it doesn't fit your BS theory, that's why. And it doesn't fit your BS theory that Ozzie can't draft - Mosley, KO, BWill, Torrey, Jimmy, Wagner, Jernigan, Tavon, Tyrod Taylor, Pernell McPhee, Urshel. Not to mention the Undrafted FA that OZZIE BROUGHT IN - Justin Tucker (ever heard of him?), Orr, Aiken, etc. Nope, none of that matters because it doesn't support your acrimonious agenda towards Ozzie & Harbs. Troll on, sir..... Good points, but he had to be talking about Brian Billick and not John. Baloney. You can hide your head in the sand about ineptness of the parts of Newsome and Harbaugh, but the proof is right in front of your eyes. Ozzie hasn't produced in the draft for the last 6 years. Harbaugh is the worst clock manager I have ever seen. He also failed to bench Joe last game and cost us an opportunity to beat a bad team again. Flacco, whether hurt or just plain ineffective, should not have started the second half, and, after throwing two perfect passes back to back to the Jets defense, he should have been benched. A real head coach would not worry about hurting Flacco's feelings and would have instead worried about the team.
  6. If the roster is "undermanned", it is no one's fault but Ozzie Newsome. His terrible drafting over the last 6 years have left the Ravens bereft of talent. Zrebiec is right about the best and worst. The Ravens knew what they had to fix but didn't do it. I like Mason but he is full of baloney. John Harbaugh didn't win anything. Ray Lewis and Ed Reed did. Once they were gone, all we read was about how this was "Harbaugh's Team". Well we haven't heard that lately. How is that working out? Weddle and Webb "entrenched"? Seriously? Why would anyone on this awful pass defense be "entrenched? If they are, they are because no one else has the talent to unentrench them. Elam stinks. He has proven he can't play in the NFL. Sadly, Webb is downright terrible. He is a good guy who tries his best, but injuries have slowed him to the point where he is a liability. Ok, Young & Lewis have done ok (for fourth rounders) but where are the guys taken ahead of them? Just like every year since 2010, draft picks one through three are mediocre or gone into obscurity where they belong. Ozzie Newsome's inability to draft winners in the first few rounds have killed the Ravens.
  7. Given the circumstances, Alex Lewis did ok. I just hope Harbaugh doesn't ruin him the way he ruined Michael Ohr here. Now that Ohr is settled in at RT where he belongs, he is doing well.
  8. Oh, now they have "new ideas" after blowing 4 games in a row to bad teams, Another load of crap. The O line didn't do all that bad protecting Flacco. He just stunk up the place. Worst performance of the year. He had time on a lot of those throws and misfired. When your offense scores ZERO points against one of the worst teams in the league, you had better have more than a few "new ideas".
  9. Talented? Really? What talent? Oh, you mean dropping passes like flies? That talent? What a load of crap. Just like with another first round bust, Matt Elam, the Ravens media prints garbage like this about the latest poor draft pick from Ozzie Newsome. How many times do I have to say it? This guy is a mediocre wr from a middle of the road college. He wasn't even "talented" enough to get into a high level division I program. Yet, somehow the Ravens are taken with all his so called speed. I haven't seen him beat a cornerback downfield yet. Just what are you watching? It sure isn't Perriman.
  10. Who cares? Matt Elam sucks. He has proven he can't play in the NFL, yet here we go again with the Oh, Elam is back. Just because he was another in a long line of blown Ravens high draft picks doesn't translate to talent or field performance. He has been a hole in the defense every time he is on the field. We have heard all the excuses and they are as lame today as they were when Ozzie boneheadedly drafted him with a number one pick.
  11. That is baloney. The line gave Flacco time on numerous occasions and he flubbed his chances. He constantly overthrew receivers and threw into the hands of defenders. I am sick and tired of excuses being made for his poor performances. If he was hurt, then Harbaugh should have started Mallett. He certainly should have relieved Flacco in the second half. Instead he does what he always does, nothing. Then looks for blame elsewhere. Nothing will improve until Bisciotti has enough and kicks Harbaugh and his incompetent crew of coaches out. Oh, and take Ozzie too. His poor drafting has left the Ravens bereft of talent. Perriman is the latest. School is still out on Stanley.
  12. In a fantasy world, I would love to see Torrey Smith back, Give them Perriman in exchange. BUT, that won't fix what is wrong with the Ravens. It starts at the top, where poor drafts over the last 6 or 7 years have depleted what was once a very talented team. Next, it is Harbaugh and his inept, incompetent coaches.. Bisciotte needs to clean house in order for the Ravens to rebuild. It won't happen as long as those currently in control remain there. Torrey Smith can't fix that.
  13. This is horse manure. More lame excuses for another poor performance. If he was hurt, he should not have been playing, period. We were playing a bad team and had an NFL caliber quarterback backing him up. Harbaugh is a moron. If Joe wouldn't take a day off on his own, Harbaugh should have been man enough to make him. Then when we were doing nothing the entire game, Harbaugh leaves him in to lose it. Just stupid.
  14. Harbaugh is the problem, the Ravens need to clean house. he's not the whole problem.. look at the draft picks Baltimore has picked up in the last 10 years.. how many pro-bowlers are in there? Not very many huh? guess whoever is making the draft choices is pretty bad at their job. I think bscotti needs to fire everyone not named biscotti and start over. I have been screaming about Ozzie Newsome's blown high draft picks for years and all I get is grief from those who think he can do no wrong. Ever since Ozzie drafted Sergio Kindle, it has been all downhill. I watch the NFL draft and no one, absolutely NO ONE, had Matt Elam rated as a first round pick. Same with Perriman. A ball dropper in college and a ball dropper in the NFL. OH, he is sooooo fast. Yeah, right. If he is so fast, why can't he get behind cornerbacks, and even if he does, there is a 50% chance he will drop the pass. Yeah, real value Ozzie. Our drafts have killed us.
  15. When your offense scores zero points in a game, THAT is where the blame lies. Ok, there were some miscues, pretty bad ones at that, BUT, nothing that wouldn't have been overcome by some real offense. Instead you have inaccurate Flacco throwing two absolutely awful picks to the Jets, and Harbaugh, standing there watching the game go down, doing nothing. Mallett should have been in the game, if not to start the second half, certainly after the second interception. Maybe it would have shaken things up and given Joe, who apparently thinks he can't be replaced, something to consider. Until Bisciotti cleans house, nothing will get better.
  16. Matt Elam sucks. He is just another in a long list of failed high draft choices that Ozzie Newsome blew. Perriman is the latest.
  17. Flacco and Harbaugh are the reasons the Ravens lost this game. Good grief man. We are playing against a 1-5 team, whose quarterback was benched because he was the worst in the NFL. Yet Flacco looks like crap the entire game and Harbaugh does nothing to try to win. Mallett should have started the second half. Even after those two absolutely horrible picks thrown by Flacco, the game was still within reach. A real head coach would have pulled Flacco out, giving his team a chance. Instead, he leaves him in to the bitter end and he looked just as awful then as he did in the first half. This great offensive machine managed zero points against a 1-5 team and no one sees a problem here. Unbelievable.
  18. I don't want to hear about Flacco's "injured shoulder". That is baloney. If he was hurt, he should not have been playing. This was a completely winnable game that Harbaugh and Flacco gave away. To sit there and watch as this impotent offense puts up zero points on the board the whole game, without trying to do something about it is beyond absurd. Why wasn't Mallett in the game? After Flacco threw those two god awful picks, he should have been benched, and would have by any head coach with a brain. This team will not win another game, except maybe against Cleveland. Wake up Bisciotti. It is time to clean house.
  19. It really matters not whether the Ravens win or lose against the Jets. They have already lost any chance with their lackluster performances against the last three teams, all of which are bad. After the break, the Ravens will be lucky to be competitive against much tougher opponents. They may have lucked out with Baby Ben out, but unlike the Ravens, the Steelers are a team that doesn't make excuses for injuries. They go out and kick peoples behinds. As long as Harbaugh is coach and Newsome is picking mediocre talent with high draft picks, the Ravens are doomed to be where they are.
  20. Who gives a crap? Neither of these guys is Tom Brady or Ben Roethlisberger. They are both bad quarterbacks. If the Ravens can't beat them, it is all over.
  21. Why shouldn't they get a shot? We have had absolutely no pass rush before Suggs got hurt. Manning could have eaten a sandwich at a table in his backfield. This is just an extension of what we saw last year.
  22. I wouldn't mind seeing Mallett in the game, if only for a couple of sets. Joe has gotten too complacent and Harbaugh won't set him down. It might actually fire him up a bit if he gets it through his head that he is not irreplaceable. Anything would be better than the performances we have seen out of him and this so called offense so far.
  23. I can't believe these writers are still writing about Elam. They act as if his return means anything. It doesn't. He sucks, plain and simple. Where are the Steadmans and Mike Prestons who are unafraid to tell the truth? It is refreshing to read their writings because when they spoke up, they had some credibility. All these rah rah so called journalists are nothing more than home team blather. While it is important to support your team, your job is to tell it like it is, not feed us a lot of baloney. An honest assessment would be a welcome change.
  24. It took the Giants two whole days to figure out Jackson couldn't cut it. Why does it take the Ravens years to do the same? Why do people still think the Ravens front office knows what it is doing? Bad drafts for the last 6 years have doomed us to mediocrity. Until Bisciotti finally wakes from his long nap and gets rid of those who are causing this (not the players), nothing will change for the better. Ozzie Newsome has blown more high draft picks than he has succeeded with over that time span. Starting with the immortal Sergio Kindle, it was all downhill from there.
  25. Ok, lets all buy into this crap that Harbaugh is saying. I don't believe a word of it, but I am sure there are those out there who still think Harbaugh knows what he is doing, despite years of evidence to the contrary. One last chance. Beat the Jets soundly this week and maybe, just maybe, we can start to buy it. If we see more of the same inept and incompetent play, we are doomed. The schedule gets one heck of a lot tougher after the Jets. If they can't beat Fitzpatrick, then God help them.
