  1. Why even speculate on this crap? There is no possible way that Sherman comes to the Ravens. Why not just wish for Tom Brady too? It would make about as much sense and be just as unfathomable. Instead of wasting time on this garbage, how about some realistic possibilities to ponder?
  2. If Peppers is there and the Ravens don't take him, they need someone else to do the picking. This guy is the real deal and we are really hurting for linebackers that can cover. Only Moseby is of the caliber that we need. Suggs injuries have slowed him really bad. It is a shame, but, at his age, he should think about packing it in. He was nothing after that injury last year.
  3. I like Lardarius, the man. In a way I am glad that the Ravens resigned him. Nor for what he has left on the football field, but what he exemplifies as a person and the influence he will have on others around him. I just hope he has enough gas left in his tank as to not embarrass himself. He deserves better than that.
  4. OMG here we go again. Another Wide receiver. Unbelievable. We have NO pass rush but the Ravens so called brain trust is talking about taking another wide receiver in the first round. How many times do you fail before it sinks in? If we don't get a bonafide pass rusher, all the wide receivers in the world will make no difference. Good grief.
  5. I don't blame Aiken one bit for leaving. He was underutilized here last year. The guy did a great job for us but you can't afford to keep everyone. Wish him well.
  6. Agree. Shutting down the forums is a mistake. It's a shame too because the people in charge of PR are probably the type of people that are absorbed by their phones and twitter, facebook, ect and think everyone else must be too. A large amount of fans on the forums here are from out of state and even out of country. They will be hurt the most from this. Local fans are engulfed in Ravens fandom. This whole area turns purple every fall. It's enough to make a steelers fan nervous just walking into a dunkin donuts! I hear the team say they want to expand ravens nation but this move may do the opposite. It's a shame. It figures that the children who run this site can't take criticism. Anyone who disagrees with the ramblings of their writers is labeled a troublemaker. No bad words, heavens no. I respect others opinions and enjoy reading their views. It is ok to have a different opinion, but personal attacks are the weapons of the unintelligent and shouldn't be tolerated. Factual presentations, even if somewhat off color, should be ok among adults. Not here though. A teal shame because some of the posters make a lot more sense than those who call themselves columnists.
  7. Lardarius Webb, one of the true good guys in sports. He put his own needs on the back burner to help the team. How many of these greedy suckers can say that with a straight face. Looks like Pitta this year. So sorry to see his performance fall off so badly. Injuries took their toll on him, yet he did not complain, and always gave us his best. Wish him nothing but good luck in the future. Just a great man.
  8. The problem with the Ravens has been their poor drafting. Look at all the high pick busts over the last 7 or 8 years. They have pretty much allowed the defense to hit the bottom, spending high picks on mediocre talent at wide receiver. I sure hope the Ravens sign some more free agents. Their draft track record really stinks.
  9. Thank the Lord that the Ravens signed Jefferson. If I have to read anything more about Matt Elam, I am gonna puke. He was a bust from the get go. Yet another wasted first round pick. Since the Ravens have made a constant of blowing high draft picks, it is good to see some free agent signings to improve the team.
  10. Who gives a crap about their team records? That doesn't mean squat. We have a mediocre quarterback being paid first rate money and we are stuck with him. He was absolutely abysmal in the loss to Cincinnati. Of course, the Swiss cheese defense did its part, but, good grief, another killer stupid interception in the end zone, just like in Pittsburgh. Why isn't Mallet allowed to play? Harbaugh is a hard headed moron. Won't make a change for the good of the team. Maybe Mallet isn't the answer, but Flacco has regressed. When he plays badly he should be taken out to give the team a chance to win. Instead Harbaugh either doesn't have the guts to do it or he worries about individual ego instead of what is best for the team. The sooner they fire him the better.
  11. What needs to change is the leadership. With change of leadership comes change in methods. It is plain to anyone that the Ravens are not moving forward. Flacco always plays his worst against Cincy and Harbaugh won't let Mallet play. That stupid interception, just like the one he tossed against Pittsburgh killed the Ravens. They are not good enough to overcome Flacco's gaffes. On defense, no pass rush.....again. No coverage on receivers. Instead of challenging them, the Ravens play soft, sitting 10 yards off the line.
  12. This team is a joke. Starting with the GM, Head Coach, and downward. Just a terrible lackluster performance against the Bengals. Flacco was typically awful against Cincy. He throws another killer interception into the end zone, just like he did against the Steelers. Then, on the last chance, he throws a 5 yard pass when they need 10 for a first down. On the final play he throws into double coverage without even looking at the receiver. He has regressed to the point where he is just plain awful.
  13. Struggles? Seriously? How about total collapse? That would more adequately describe this go awful defensive performance. Oh yeah, they are playing for "character". Well, two Bengals TDs in two possessions is really showing "character" isn't it? That coupled with Flacco's ineffectiveness against Cincinnati is resulting in an embarrassment.
  14. Good grief, another lame wide receiver released from other teams. If we drafted well, this would not be going on. Instead the great Oz picks mediocre talent like Perriman and Elam. Here we go again.
  15. The Ravens best receiver, bar none. Perriman couldn't carry his shoes. Can't now, never will. Another Ozzie Newsome first round failure. The Ravens will really miss Steve Smith next year. I'm sure that Newsome will be drafting another lame wide receiver like ball dropper Perriman. Until someone else takes over the draft, the Ravens will continue to struggle to keep up with the better teams.
