Bengals catch a huge break with the missed kick,, and then let them drive all the way down the field anyway. Typical Cincy
Do you guys remember Meyers from Jax when they played against Ravens this season? He had a horrible shank. That last kick reminded me of that. UGLY
WOW. I can't believe that one Lol
Exactly. No offense Bengals guy, but you're already in. I don't want Pit making it and Broncos winning eliminates one of those situations.
None taken man,, no problem ^^+1
Maybe so. Denver might win this one with a late score though.Probably not, this game might be going into OT
That's true. It would really suck if Denver lost these last 2 games and let Pitt in.Yup. If the broncos win, than that's one avenue to the playoffs locked up for the steelers.
Whew,, big conversion there. Can McCarron do it?
What is going on this season?!? A Pat and a Bengal discussing games on our board. Lol. Someone pinch me.
Lol. I hope you guys don't mind me hanging out tonight. I read this forum alot. There's alot of good posters. Don't worry,, I would never troll a board, that stuff is seriously annoying. This forum is one of the few I've found that people can have a good discussion on. Thx for letting me hang around.
What a missed opportunity there
^^Yup. I think those missed plays (the last one, and a missed FG) will doom Cincy tonight.
Oohh,, McCarron missed Green wide open for a TD there
Yeah, they'll clinch a bye if they win. But it's looking shaky now. Denver's defense changed scheme at half and now has Cincy's offense "stuck in the mud." Cincy will need a big play (turnover, kick return, etc) to pull this one out.If they hang on here I think they clinch the week off
Does Dalton not have a chance to get healthy before playoffs?
^^ Like Pats said,, it's possible he could play if they are in the divisional round. No way he comes back for the Wildcard round (that would only be 4 weeks removed).
If they can get the bye week, it's possible. But, I think it'll still be too early for a return IMO.
Shame that Dalton went down. I was interested in seeing if he could shake the post-season curse this year. I feel like his reputation in the post-season is partially deserved, but not to the degree that many want to state it to be. It is a team game and I felt like the Bengals were playing better as a team this year than they have in the Marvin Lewis era.
Yeah, his postseason rep is definitely deserved (mainly for the game vs the Chargers in Cincy a couple seasons ago,, he was dreadful).
Last season against the Colts, basically all the offensive weapons were out injured (similar to Ravens this season).
AJ Green
Tyler Eifert
Marvin Jones
Jermaine Gresham
All those guys didn't play in the postseason last year,, so I don't really hold that game much against Dalton.
This season looked so much better because the offensive weapons were all back (especially Eifert who showed up in a big way).
I was hoping to see a fully healthy roster in a postseason game just to see if Dalton could get over that hump. But, now it's all on McCarron. I don't have my hopes up too high. We'll see.
Agree with all of that.Have you not been paying attention to AJ Green since he was drafted in 2011? The problem with Cincy is Dalton has under performed with the weapons he has and a elite WR in Green.
Now whether or not we see Dalton in the playoffs to truly say this a different Bengals team remains to be seen.
You are kidding on that part, aren't you?
I think he meant to say something else (I hope)
I agree with him on the QB part though.
Sadly I still think bengals are 1 and done in th eplayoffs, need some better options at receiver and certainly at QB. I hope they finish denver off here and beat say the jets in the first match of the playoffs.
Better options at receiver? They're really solid there.
QB? Definitely.
Regardless of this game. I don't think there's more complete team in the league at the moment.
I agree. The roster for Cincy is probably the best all-around in the league. If they had a top-tier QB, they'd be dominant. That's the "rub" though. Dalton plays really well at times,, but he's not Flacco, Brees, Wilson level etc.. IMO.
When they get good QB play though, they're really good.
Bengals are seriously good team. The best in NFL right now.
Talented roster,, yes. Still a long way to go in this one though.
I am really impressed by McCarron so far. Best I've seen him play by far.
Thx MT. Watching the Steelers go down is always a thrill,, especially yesterday's game where you guys swept them for the season and put a big dent in their playoff hopes! Lol.Billy, I always root for you guys when you play Pittsburgh, too!
That being said, I'll be rooting for you again tonight, just because I always get an inordinent amount of joy watching Denver lose, no matter what the circumstances - just can't stand Elway.
I don't like Denver much either. I'd rather see the Chiefs win that division.
Had to look this up to see what you were talking about and this wasn't dirty it was just down right wrong and disrespectful. Something tells me he ends up in Oakland with Woodson retiring and he'll want revenge against the Chargers for this.
If you don't know about it, basically the Chargers fined Weddle for staying on the field and watching his daughter perform at halftime during the game against the Dolphins. It was a $10,000 fine and now they told him that he isn't traveling with the team to Denver as "the plane is too small" according to the Chargers.
Terrible. "Not even traveling with the team to Denver",,, ridiculous.
I don't expect Cincy to win tonight. It was already going to be a tough game to win even if they had Dalton and Eifert.Rooting for the Broncos tonight ... reasons are that
1) should the Broncos lose tonight and next week, that would open the doors for the Steelers to get in.
2) If CIN losees, it means a win next week may be required for them to get a bye (of course, only if Pats lose to Dolphins ... which isn't very likely, but I don't think CIN can just count on it and sit starters).
I want to get a real motivated game out of CIN next week. Don't want us to win with them playing at anything but full strength.
Cincy's running game has not looked good the past couple games. That's what they need to lean on because AJ McCarron is just not ready for a big-time game like this. In your guys' game, Mallett looked much better than what McCarron has come close to showing.
I know, anything can happen. But, Denver desperately needs this win, and Cincy isn't good on the big stage even with their starters. I expect Bengals offense to struggle moving the ball. I also expect McCarron to make a couple huge mistakes that are really costly.
I believe that if Cincy loses, they will have to win next week and hope Denver loses against the Chargers to get the "bye". The way the Ravens looked yesterday, I don't think McCarron can match that. Idk, we'll see.
Anyway, I REALLY enjoyed watching Ravens/Steelers yesterday. That was an exciting game for sure. I know we're division rivals and all. But, I ALWAYS root for the Ravens when they face Pitt,, always. I can't stand them, and will always root for them to get beat no matter what the situation may be.
Alright! Great win for you guys. Even with all the backups,, they took it to Pitt anyway. Good stuff.
In a disappointing season because of injury,, sweeping the Steelers makes it more palatable. Good for Baltimore.
Congrats guys
That's okay. Smart punt,, don't give Brown a chance there.
CMON RAVENS,,, TAKE EM DOWN

Idk about this one. How would it be a fumble if the ball goes 10 yards forward anyway? McCarron's hand flips it forward almost 10 yards.
Interesting
