  1. Great pick. I'm a big fan of Rankins, and he fell all the way into the 2nd round to me in the Forum Mock. I admit I waivered a bit, and considered trading the pick because of the immense depth at DL this year. Nonetheless I think he is the best DT in this years draft. I had watched a lot of his film and on top of his ability to blow holes in an interior OL (as well as at DE) I liked his motor, always chasing the ball carrier down from behind if he got past him. His competitiveness and talent is akin to Jurrell Casey in my eyes. They're about the same size too. I could see him having a similar impact.
  2. @Italian Raven how's the defensive withdrawal going? Did you get the shakes while posting that pick?
  3. Unfortunately you have to disregard some of his potential success with the Cowboys due to the superb OL on that team. Since you don't have the Cowboys OL, you have to hypothetically predict what Ezekiel Elliot would be able to do by himself behind whatever OL you build on your team.
  4. Well there goes the guy I unfortunately had to pass on. Great pick. Ramseys a stud and I'm sure he's going to go far. It's unfortunate he had a knee injury so early in his career, though I doubt it influences his chances of success very much.
  5. Correct! Which is why it totally sucks taking an O-Lineman and watching all your favorite skill position players get drafted...... But that doesn't suck near as much as watching your #1 target go literally right before your pick. Not mentioning names but *cough* @RavensFanMania *cough*.....What? Hey by the way you're up
  6. That's very debateable. His coverage improved quite a bit last year. He's only 24, and he's just as good as Iloka with IMO a higher ceiling. He's my top rated SS left on the board (although my plan B was quite enticing too, one of my man-crushes from the forum mock), and as inferred by @ludy51's apparent hatred of me () after my pick he wouldn't have lasted 10 picks after where I selected him much less a full two rounds before I select again.
  7. Not 100% in love with this selection.... Not as sexy as I would have hoped. But I think it's a smart move considering I feel he wouldn't have been there at the end of next round. He's probably the best young interior OLman left on the board. He's quick, strong, and a good pass blocker for Rivers. And to explain the Pryor pick, I love his coverage ability balanced with the power to lay the wood. I was a huge fan of his coming out of Louisville. He's also playing beside Weddle, so he'll benefit from the guidance of an elite center fielder.
  8. With the 226th pick in the 2016 DaF, Team Ramrod selects: Brandon Brooks, RG
  9. Yeah. At least it makes the choice a little easier though
  10. With the 223rd pick in the 2016 DaF, Team Ramrod selects: Calvin Pryor, SS
  11. Was one pick away from Tunsil. I hate life
  12. That's how I felt seeing Harrison go... Made my decision a little easier though
  13. I agree with this assessment. Good center though
  14. Damn good pick of Damon Harrison. Was really hoping he'd fall to the end of this round.
  15. I like the Sanders pick. Some would very well argue he is the best receiver in Denver right now
  16. You'll need it buddy with Vonn Miller, Justin Houston and Jerry Hughes in the division
  17. Ayyy another one of my forum mock players. I feel like a proud parent
  18. Completely agree. If you've followed the NFL closely long enough you develop an acute skepticism haha
  19. I rise to a point of information: How many skips before a time reduction is enforced? And do autoskipped picks count towards the total amount of skipped picks?
  20. Agreed on this point with Gilmore. I was split between him and Eric Weddle, but I figured an elite FS would have a bigger impact on a defense than a guy who would be my number 2 CB. I see the Bennett comparisons... I see the motor and powerful point of attack. I also see him lose his head on certain plays as Bennett does. I think Bosa may be a little quicker than Bennett, with a little less power... But still a close comparison
  21. @-Truth- I'm obviously a fan of the Bosa pick, taking him in the forum mock. I believe he may have a much higher ceiling than some of the other edge rushers already taken. Good pick!
  22. I agree with @RavensFanMania that Doom isn't a bad selection, but IMO I also agree with this sentiment that there are better options
  23. Since I drafted Weddle, do I have to wait till my next pick to pick The Beard of the Gods? Or do they come as a package?
  24. Thank you my man. I've been a huge fan of Weddle during his whole career. He's also the first Raven I've drafted in DaF. They tend to be a little overvalued but the value is definitely here at the beginning of the 6th round. He went in the beginning of the third last year and quite frankly I didn't expect him to be available at my 6th round pick. He's my 4th rated safety due to age and a resulting lack of supreme physical traits.... But when it comes to intangibles like leadership and communication in the secondary I believe he's unmatched. In my mind, he was clearly the top safety available.
