He's looking for $10M per year and I bet the Ravens would want that more at like $8M per year.

Matt Miller mentioned this signing as one of his top five or six favorite moves in the NFL from the early free agency moves.

Although, to be fair, in watching Wagner's rookie season, while there were positives, to think he could have anything near the type of season he did in 2014 after watching 2013 is asinine. I think the Ravens coaching staff played a MASSIVE role in his development and ability to even get to the point that he's making $48M in FA.

Very surprised Amukamara is only getting a one year deal.

The majority of the top teams in the NFL in terms of points per game allowed also had a very strong run defense. 

A few exceptions were teams like KC or Denver that had an extremely good secondary that's pretty much in the upper echelon of the league by a good bit.

On the flip side, most of the teams that were extremely poor against the run were also extremely poor in terms of points allowed.

Stopping the run is still really relevant in today's NFL.

I was initially rough on bringing Williams back because he faded down the stretch, but you have to consider also that the entire front seven faded with him. Coincidence? No, it's really not.

I also want to see the Ravens put him in more situations to be a one gap player that can knife gaps. I think Williams has some underrated quickness and if he shed 10-15 pounds, he might be able to slice in there and generate some pressure from the interior.

With who's left at DB, I'd like to think the Ravens would want to look at Prince Amukamara. 

I love the idea of Claiborne and his price is probably far more affordable.

I'm super hype about retaining Williams. 

At first I was a little down on him after he faded down the stretch, but the entire defense faded with him. He is the anchor of that front seven. I'm hype.

Many teams are balking at paying him $10M per year, and the Ravens paid Wallace around $8M, so we know the Ravens ARE willing to pay.

Have to wonder if the Ravens would pony up $9M per year to have Wallace/Pryor/Perriman. That'd make me one happy fan and would make Joe very happy.

Browns are about to make Zeitler the highest paid guard ever.

All I am saying is that Weddle is the preferred center fielder now in this current S group we have. It's not a knock on Jefferson.

Id much rather have Weddle back their guarding AJ Green or a M Bryant.

They get into a track stance and run 40 yards in a straight line with no pads on. It's all trained.

Plus, it starts on first movement, so if he twitches slightly, that clock goes. 

Horrible measure.

Ravens remain cautiously optimistic that they can re-sign Brandon Williams.

Hey, didn't you know that players frequently get into a track stance and run 40 yards in a straight line in no pads. It's all the rage.

The combine is probably one of the worst things to go off of.
