So if they bring KO back, you think they go Treadwell in the draft? I think Treadwell can be a Larry Fitz, Julio Jones type guy...not ODBJr, but would give this team a comparable impact. I could see them thinking that Leslie Frazier can coach the secondary up. Not a far-fetched idea that they follow that logic and therefore go Treadwell. After all, I’m not saying it’s true, but there’s the prevailing thought that Hargreaves is not worth the #6 pick given his Citrus Bowl performance. Jehu Chesson had a decent season so I won’t say I agree or disagree with the hype. HOWEVER #1 the SEC people swear the B1G is inferior to them. HOWEVER #2 once upon a time Jarred Abbrederris caught for 200 yards against Courtney Roby but Roby is doing alright with the Broncos, Jarred not so much with the Pack. They could throw us all a curveball and trade up for Bosa too you know - say whaaaaAAAAAAAt!!!!

Honestly I don't think that applies anymore. That made a whole heck of a lot of sense when you had Hall of Fame players like Ed Reed in the back and Ray Lewis in the middle and perennial Pro-bowler Haloti Ngata up front. It made sense when all you needed were complimentary role players. I think Ozzie probably has realized that in the 3 seasons since the Super Bowl i.e. the safety experiments and WR experiments...

The idea that Laquon Treadwell is a reach is just utterly ridiculous. How could the man be a reach at 6 if he is projected to go at 9???? Even at 14??? A reach means the man went 15 - 20 picks to a whole round earlier than he should have. That's probably a better definition of a reach. If Treadwell is there, the Ravens better not think too hard about pulling the trigger on him. There are only so many bonafide studs i.e. Larry Fitz, Julio Jones, ODBJr. After all it is a passing league. There is likely no pass rusher to be taken at #6 and there is a chance that there is no left tackle to be taken at #6.

well if you take Kendrick Lewis out of the game, uhm, that's far less penalties AND perhaps fewer possessions for the opposing offense if he can keep his hands on the ball.

No...but we all know that it doesn't hurt to spend just a little money for something every now and then We've always believed in right player right price mantra because that will work when you have an ed reed, haloti ngata, ray lewis, terrell suggs to play the primary role. But we don't have too many A players right now to be able to go out and just get any complimentary guy. Besides...my point was that Chuck Pagano or Rex Ryan probably couldn't do anything with the same lineup. Just my opinion though

Like I said before - guy is way high on himself. Listened to the hype that everyone in this organization (and on this boards) was feeding him. Drinking up all his own kool-aid. I know it feels awkward to flag him and point out the egg on his face, but it is what it is I most certainly wish him all the best in rectifying the problem.

Am I the only one here that can't understand why our QBs don't seem to realize that Crockett Gillmore is a playmaker. Everyone time he caught a ball from Joe he makes a play that involves one or 2 or more broken/missed tackles. But Joe didn't seem to make it a priority to find him. Same thing with Matt Schaub. I can't understand it at all. The kid makes plays and doesn't go down easy. What the heck??

Referencing how everyone jumped to the conclusion of how he's automatic from everywhere and how he himself, while seemingly a nice guy, his eccentricity occasionally has me thinking about Mike Vanderjagt. Again, not saying you can't celebrate your good play or amp yourself up over your success at all. But people are salty on cornerbacks, wide receivers, linebackers, defensive ends for doing a little extra every time they make 1 single play. Just sayin

I'm not sure I understand the title. Was it done for 'clickbait'? Would these players be "rested" for the playoffs that we aren't making in 7 weeks? Or would they be rested for some other reason that comes off as viable?

Thought that would mean a bunch of people NOT associated with the Ravens, but turns out the "Internet" that had "mad respect" for Joe ended up being Quadry Ismail (former Raven), John Harbaugh (head coach), Sarah Ellison (Br.com writer)....

Two things here 1 - he hasn't been very good. One of the players that I think they shouldn't have fallen in love with (worthwhile noting that a lot of people on these boards were gushing over that pick....so much to the extent that they were monitoring Steelers forums and posting how Steelers fans were unhappy because the Cowboys skipped Elam and the Ravens got him) 2 - it's important to note that the Ravens knew they would address one of the safety positions through the draft. I don't think any of the hyped up safeties from that class are performing at a high level. That's something else that I haven't seen in this forum topic - people aren't saying who they thought the Ravens should have picked instead. Just simply saying Ozzie is drafting well. If you didn't pick a WR in the 2014 class, good luck finding your guy in 2015. Some year's the guys at the position are all stellar and other years you're better looking the other way if you can't get #1 or #2. But for the folks that are saying the Ravens haven't drafted well, who are they saying would have been the better alternatives?

Last thing... First was that we put too much faith in the pieces we had for the season and thought the plan was sufficient, 2nd is that we need some time to get a bonafide stud. If you don't get a bonafide stud you need someone to "drop" to you because of "character concerns"..... Last thing - when your team is playing like worldbeaters, people run in to hire your coaches away. It's that simple. Ray Lewis and Ed Reed and Joe Flacco to some extent have gotten a lot of guys head coaching jobs - Marvin Lewis, Mike Nolan, Rex Ryan, Chuck Pagano, Jim Caldwell, Gary Kubiak. Granted the last two were head coaches and it was only a matter of time before they were going to get head coaching gigs again BUT the point is that when you are doing well, your coordinators and asstants get the call somewhere else. And those guys then take some assistants with them. That's another function of winning that has been affecting this team - whether by a lot or a little, it has an effect. Something with this lineup is really off, but I think it has less to do with the players drafted. Certainly there are some personnel issues, and they fell in love with players that they shouldn't have fallen in love with but that happens

I didn't feel that going into the season there was anything special about this defense. One guy not on that list is Brent Urban. Perhaps he can bring some ferocity to the pass rush....? Maybe? We haven't seen him play. This team is full of potential stars and just missing pieces and it's hard to say what those pieces are. It's not a draft issue at all. To address the GOOD DRAFTING/BAD DRAFTING question - whoever has time should do an analysis on how the teams that are picking in the Top 10 are performing. They also have a revolving door at GM and Head Coach. That's part of the formula. This season's record has to do with the fact that we went in to 2015 thinking that a 36 year old receiver and a 1st round rookie would be the best bet for the passing game. To supplement that we picked a 20 year old TE - one who I never really understood what all the hype was about, thinking that he'd be a huge part of the offense. Mel Kiper even went on to say that he could be 2015 OROY. No disrespect to Williams, but the kid doesn't even look like a TE. Nick Boyle flipping looks like a TE. A TE should be a big rig. Doesn't matter what kind of speed he's got, but he should look like he spent all his college free time in the weight room. Especially if he comes from the Big 10 where there's nothing but farm boys. Max may develop over this year and next, but what was the hype to take a 20 yr old who at some point might be asked to block a James Harrison or a Bud Dupree....(notice I said might) Not saying that the free agent pool at WR and TE was so great this year for the right price, but I would not have been disappointed if Ravens did end up signing Mike Crabtree. No he wouldn't have been the answer, but putting faith in the 36 yr old and 2 young 20 somethings is a huge part of the problem.

Ok so help me out with something here. Can Roddy White be a Raven or not?? Because if his salary can't be fit in, there probably is no sense to write about it. Let someone else speculate. I'm just not understanding why you build a paragraph or post a headline about Roddy White, only to say in the next paragraph that it might not work because there isn't enough money. What are we writing about here? I'll offer this up "If a trade were to happen, Roddy White would be a good fit for Baltimore. Unfortunately for the Ravens, there is no room in the salary cap."
