  1. Funny funny pages this week. The only nickname I got, and sorta came up with this before reading here... is for Mike Wallace, call him "06 seconds"... I think John Urshel would appreciate where I'm going with that one. As in, a WR runs deep for pass/catch into end zone in aro 6 seconds, to cover half the football field ...and it's a take off on "60 minutes with Mike Wallace"
  2. Love the Elite t-shirt and the creativity put into it. And the longer story behind it of how Ravens players have taken what was initially a critical statement "is Joe an elite quarterback?" And drained all the seriousness out of it and made it something fun and funny ??? I'd just suggest to barstool sports to consider making it in female tee too ? I'd def buy one. And ofc he's elite, any multiple playoff and SB qb is elite to get there and win it with team, ...and be the mvp of that game... But we can 'hope' one day the rest of NFL will aknowledge that lol.
  3. Just saw the bookmobile clip...that is too funny.
  4. Yea Dennis!!! Back in Cleveland...on your terms now.
  5. Yeah, we do play the Vikings next year l believe. But l get what your saying about the interceptions LOL. Cool ?
  6. We don't play the Vikings. Wasn't even referring to this year, but we do play them (eventually)... Plus was just making a joke on interceptions...lol.
  7. "The longest field goal kick in NFL history is 64 yards, a record set by Matt Prater on December 8, 2013." ~ From wiki. So if Tucker gets a shot at 65 yd will he get a crack? Maybe, if the game isn't at crucial game points we can sneak in a try, hint hint. Or even if it is :D
  8. Good points. It's rare I get critical on team at all, cause I have faith in what staff, coaches, players can do, and have done. But the red zone issue (either not getting there or settling for FGs) is the one thing I'd like to see improvement on. And I think you're right, as to next week should see the improvements, it's a new year and somewhat new roster. Ds performance def something to be very excited about.
  9. On subject of play calls...was glad to see us go for it on 4th down like we usually opt to do in games when we have the field position (moreso than a lot of other teams do). We didn't make 1st down last week's game but still glad we went for it cause it's guts playing. The day Ravens coaching settles for fg or punt when there's a do-able 4th down attempt in play is a sad day for RN as it spells out conservative, safe football. IOW mediocrity. BUT I don't think we'll ever see that happen in Harbaugh era as he likes to go for it (yes!) and hopefully we never become that frady cat team cause 4th down plays are the best! When we get 1st ... but even when we just try to its still better than caving into fear of not making it.
  10. Agree on both counts...need more clever/sneaky red zone plays (hmmm Pitta back now sneaky feels doable) + more ground game, and also that our D was #1 and Bills were not far behind at 9 last week does show something impressive about our O, and ofc our D... Just want to see more effective red zone O and more resulting points, that's plagued us for a while now, and we usually turn to Tucker to chip out the wins with FGs. I def feel this year is different tho with a more talented, versatile O so...lets bring it, not just down field...but in for the TDs.
  11. Agree totally that Ws are all that matters ultimately. So...looking ahead to future games, think we got to work out the red zone plays, and maybe it was due to Bills D being strong, as you said, but we put up only 1 TD even tho we had yards overall, just couldn't get the score more than once for 7.
  12. Part of this is recency bias in the fact that we match up better against Pittsburgh than Cincinnati. I still think we have a better chance beating Pitt and would love to play them in the Championship game this year. Yep, Pitts-Bal Championship game would be great to see. It's been a while. And we need pay-back.
  13. "You mean they like us? They really really like us?...yeah we don't give a dang." That said, Cameron DaSilva's comments did seem apt 'constructive' criticism...tho I disagree on that we don't have a strong identity yet, which I took was aimed at O. I think we have an identity and it's getting into form. May take a few games but I see it there. But the other concerns are worth addressing... More running plays resulting in 1st d could take care of that.
  14. Well, we might as well face (and beat) McCown and co (rather than RG3) cause we need to be tough enough D to face the other teams in our Div. My opinion tho is Pittsburg with decimate the already injured Bengals this week and I don't think long term Cincy will stay on top (as they've done past years). Even Browns may pass them. We on other hand need to keep pace with Steelers so that when we face them we're ready.
  15. Break the record this year Tucker! Whatever that fg record is?
  16. Being the underdog makes the win taste sweeter. Being the favorite feels gimmickey and commercialized. And while it's fun to be in spotlight, it's more fun to p'off the team in spotlight by beating them....bahahahaha.
  17. Hope Camp makes it back to B! He plays with heart, that's how Ravens play, he belongs here.
  18. Like this color scheme of gold letters on purple background the best, but a tie with black on black. They do look similar to Vikings color scheme because we share those colors in common so it's going to look the same. But gold is one of our colors... I think it looks nice against the solid purple. So just don't wear these when we play Vikings lol. Otherwise both teams' qbs will likely set records in NFL for most interceptions thrown in a game.
  19. The Bills aren't a great team but they are a tricky team with Rex Ryan at the helm. So I think youre right, Ravenshine. If we still had those plus and minuses you'd get a + from me. Tricky, yes good word to describe them Sami. Just the out of the gate test we needed.
  20. Just rating our team from last year, yes agree with that we are next level team now and Harbaugh's explanations of what was going on are spot on IMO. It's complex playing to learn but that's exactly the kind of football we want to be doing and are on track with it, ...while not fully incorporating all variables but still doing the major things right. So test is to get better for when facing the tougher teams...I don't consider the Bills a necessarily tough team but they aren't bottom of barrel either so they were a good measurement and first opponent to face.
  21. We're going to look so purdy.
  22. the thing is Dean Pees changed his whole strategy like he should have done a couple of years ago. He simplified it so now the players can hunt instead of think. This is what weve (lots of fans) have been saying all along. Dean Pees barely had players last year who were healthy. "Most injured team in NFL last year." That is a factor I don't care who the DC is...if your guys are going down and your next man up, next man up, next man up...gotta give some credit for coaching thru that...or I give him credit anyway. It couldn't have been easy, but ppl seem to want to forget how last year really was. It was ...everything and anything pretty much went wrong. So when things go better it's NOT because of his coaching? The poor man can't get a break from these fans who just think he's awful. I don't think he is and only time will prove that...but it already has...we've made playoffs the other seasons with him as DC, again...that's got to count for something, as you don't just make playoffs with a lousy DC at helm. But I'm sure there be excuses for how that happened as well.
  23. I hope RR gets a second chance in NFL. His days as a Raven ended when the damaging video came out. The bottom line is he punched a woman who was a fraction of his strength and yeah, other NFL players have done it and got away with it cause there wasn't 'proof', but still... he did it. The experience changed him no doubt, so I do hope another team gives him a shot at RB again so he/we/sports fans can see what he's got left in him as an athlete.
  24. [chirp, chirp chirp] lol...exactly.
  25. First game jitters over. A win IS a win. Yes! Loved SSr spin move. Pitta reminded us why he's a game changer (3rd down catches). Defense brought the pressure. Loved, loved Perriman's first reception... Who cares for perfection? Who IS perfect anyway? Not you, not me, not any team. Important take away is we fought and we won. On to next game.
