  1. It's not about worry, it's about seeing long term strategy. Mainly, we need to be scoring more TD to continue our winning streak. To put it in perspective: Ravens thus far 4TDs total...Raiders who we play next week have 10TDs total, NE who we play second half of season and we looovvve to beat 9TDs total...Steelers also we'll play 2X and our div rivals 8TDs total and Giants maybe closest to us in scoring, and we play them later too...even they have more TDs than us @ 6 total.
  2. Is it the RBs fault? Clearly they are not effectively executing the run plays as a whole offensive line should. That's only partially the RBs fault, the run game is actually more about O synchronization than it is ever going to be about any individual player.
  3. I have the motto of basically : "don't kick your team when they are down, and don't rest on laurels when up." And I pretty much stick to that. Last year our team took a beating (with injuries) and I supported them and was positive. And now we are stronger and healthy so I'll speak more of improvements that can be realized (cause we are def a serious playoff contender, and SB bound team.) But I'd rather we focus on getting better than just looking at the wins. Cause each team we face has different talents. We need versatility to face each nuance. Like run game will come into play moreso with certain matchup even if it didn't matter much say with the Jags.
  4. I'm loving our blocking field goal kicks, that's just fun stuff there. Bet teams that play us now have that added pressure on their minds that they may not even get the ball launched...and that just makes me laugh when we do that ? Then scoop up the ball and run.
  5. It ain't over until the operatic kickers foot sings ? But still...Ravens...you better than this. Blake Bortles self imploded (and I truly felt for him watching how upset he was with himself) otherwise maybe another QB of another team could have better capitalized on our mistakes. But yeah, our D came threw with some important plays in 4th (woo hoo Urban) as did Flacco and co getting Tucker in range, and the D holding at the end...but...thanks Tucker for this one. And better job next time rest of crew.
  6. Nice story. Glad the team played a part in lifting her spirits and transforming her life. Some of my girlfriends 'don't get' why I love football so much. But what they don't get is...it's not just football, it's a lifestyle ????? fall is already a great season...football makes it even better!
  7. Couldn't agree more. Plus some others (receivers, rb's, te) will get involved in the mix too. Feels like everyone we have in roster is really steady performers at very least. At very best...huge play making capabilities. Sure each game will be different and a challenge, but our complexity is a secret weapon, as in, it's a 'secret' to the other team exactly who Joe will throw to, as he has options galore ? and they won't/can't cover every one of our guys!
  8. Ha ha, scooby skits cute.
  9. That statement in particular was misleading about my feeling towards Aiken. I love that he is playing as the #3-5 wr on the team. That makes us deep as well as having talented players on special teams. He is definitely valuable to this team no doubt. I just dont think he is a playmaker or explosive player. Which is fine. His solid hands and good route running and experience bring value no doubt. I think players like himself and Guy should be mentioned every now and then in articles with titles such as "the guys behind the scenes" sort of thing. We might have the best st in the league and players such as those 2 are huge parts of that. I didn't mean to devalue him at all. Just don't think he's a "playmaker" on O. But we have plenty of those Well, I do think he's a play maker ?
  10. Any game he's a factor in us winning...whether it be Jags or Giants, we need as many wins we can make. If he contributes to our winning, then he's a good player to have on roster. So far this year he hasn't done much, but I think based on last year he's shown he can factor into getting us yards with him and if other teams see him as a threat...then he's also a valuable decoy too.
  11. Something tells me the league can afford to do this, so what's the hold up?
  12. And sizzlingdoom, I think we have a different viewpoint on this. For you it needs to be a top receiver to be of value to a team? To me, even if a WR is #3 at best...if he can catch passes and in clutch situations, even if he's not #1 he's still valuable in the game because he makes the receptions (rather than fumble or drop balls), and thus is worth a mention now and then.
  13. why does everyone leave out Aikens? I agree...Karmar was one of the few bright spots of last year. He can definitely play in the thick of things. I think we are so stacked with talent this year it may take him a while to register again on the radar...but that being said...I always think of him too. Def a playmaker. Sorry but he's not a playmaker. The only reason he had decent stats last year is because he was the only one left to throw to. He's a # 3 wr at best on any team He caught the throws and got the stats, that's enough proof for me.

  15. Yeah, I'd say there's definitely room for improvement. Such as inconsistencies...id add red zone play execution. It's on all the Os shoulders to improve. So I agree somewhat with you. I wouldn't want any other qb ...poor cutler...in the league than Joe. Not even the elite of the elite (lol)...Cam, Brady, what's his name (Seattle), yuck. No I'm glad we have Joe Cool. He's the best just some things got to improve so we don't always have cliff hangers. Ofc if we still got by winning games at last second I suppose that 'fine'...good enough, but I'd rather we kinda stop doing that some. I'd like to see some stompings...in Pittsburg, New England, Cincinnati, NY...and especially in Baltimore.
  16. This season is scheduled in a way to give time to iron out plays, and yeah, the second half of season is what we're building to imo, as its MUCH harder face offs. And I don't mind us being ranked last of the best. I get the 'rationale' behind it. I just know come Nov-Dec that's when we all see what these teams are made of this year...even the highest ranked have to pass the test, 2 games doesn't show enough of any team. I 'get' the predictions, but I'm not worried we're considered lowest on list because I see us focused on improvement. And I do see Joe as a great leader...always have. He's just so calm under pressure and never quits, never gives up on a game. That's got to be respected.
  17. I have to agree with you. It's a game where large men grab, push, and throw each other to the ground. But I guess it's not nice to to tease. Exactly lol. Like these big guys going to go cry in the locker room corner cause they got taunted? ?
  18. These taunting penalties are silly. And a blurry line between what IS or isn't taunting. The call that favored us in the Browns game...my thoughts...Browns still didn't put up any points in second half, period. And even if the flag hadn't been thrown on Pryor, I think with just seconds on clock, a good chance our D could have held the game anyway. We'll never know. Knowing the 1st Browns TD was caught out of bounds makes me feel better. Like it evened out the penalties :D
  19. In practice this week...solve the dilemmas with the run game. Can't go whole season with such a weak ground game, just can't. I think there's so much passion for all the WR corps, ...TE, and that's great. But the boring ole run game still matters. I don't necessarily get thrilled with watching us run the ball, but it gets us yards that make all the difference so that we don't solely rely on big yard plays. To rely on the deep passes is shaky when considering it's gotta happen consistently game after game. No, we need some insurance to back up the big plays. We need to run the ball effectively.
  20. Yup, we are all around fortunate to have SSS. It'd be great to face off with Carolina in SB woundn't it?
  21. "My finger feels good" lol, love that.
  22. So sad to hear about the passing of this beloved coach. He is a rare gem and will be missed. Condolences to the Brooks family and larger Ravens family...all who loved him.
  23. Literacy for kids, young kids especially, is SO important. Awesome these guys did this for Baltimore kids who no doubt admire these football players (and mascot), such role models indelibly influence kids' learning in positive lasting ways. So cool they take time to do this.
  24. Good. Looking forward to seeing a more established run game this Sunday as well as racking up more 7pt drives. I'm excited!!!
  25. Agree about WR ...and that locker room reporter maybe 'expected' there to be some kind of unhappiness amoung receivers...just because it's something in NFL in general on teams. But I've seen no evidence of it either. These guys seem more interested to develop 'as an O' their plays, change things up in who they throw to, and Flacco imo will make the effort to circulate the ball to every guy who gets open. That's just how these personalities here mesh.
