  1. Same here BillyD, I'm waiting...hoping for a big leader to step up and fire up this team. Young players yes...and they'll do much better under leadership. Now they are all playing kinda confused mostly...that's their youth and inexperience I think. The leader doesn't have to be exactly like Ray, or Ed etc in personality, except that alpha male drive to rise and conquer. Agree Suggs had that and the damn Broncos ended that option for us.
  2. Well, I wasn't first off talking about all fans, but the ones rather, who are so hateful towards this team. Some fans are quite positive, even despite the losing record, so, yes, every fan has an opinion, and that's my opinion so it's just as valid. Tho yes, I took an extreme angle at some people... Because those people were being extremely hateful at the Ravens organization which has been for years a winning organization. Every football franchise has bad years, fans who go ballistic over that are fair weather fans who...suck.The ranking of no. 7 is overall offensive yards. On ESPN site.
  3. Let's not forget... Justin Forsett helped with 101 combined rushing/receiving yards.
  4. Yes, the Browns loss really hurt...a home game that we really should have won. That was a downer after coming off the win @ Pittsburg. Then after losing to Browns we lose to 49 ers...stupid mistakes cost us that game. If we keep making those kinds of mistakes, yes, count the team out. If they finally get a grip on things, count us in. We will have to see. The next few games decide everything. Maybe even jobs. But I'm not in a hurry to push out Harbs...law of averages he's had more winning seasons than losing, by far.
  5. Call me crazy but, I see us finishing 9-7 ..which might not be good enough for wild card, but then again it could be. Depending on other teams. Our two losses toss up between our Cardnals, Bengals and Pits games but not all three but 2 of those 3 teams...the rest of teams we play: San Diego, Jax, Rams, Browns, Miami, Seattle, and KC...all very beatable teams than we had the first 6 games.
  6. @ Mystigo - Well, I think we have a different viewpoint on 'what's important'. To me the collective momentum is important, supporting the team is important, the energy put into the power of 'believe' is important. I mean common, this is Ray Lewis 101 philosophy here. NEVER QUIT your team. Never stop believe you can turn things around. On a related note, call me a 'die hard head in the clouds fan' but...I haven't ruled them out of making playoffs. Their schedule was front loaded, we all knew this coming into the season. I'm waiting to see how the second half of season goes for them before I count them out of playoffs...very much BECAUSE they've played close games. And only if it became mathematically impossible for that to happen, would I concede that's not going to happen. Cause, I still think it CAN happen
  7. Who said anything about "feel good"? Trust me, there is no 'feel good' for me watching these games. And no excuses either...I just see some decent plays being done by O and D at times, and I'm not going to go all postal on the team because they aren't winning games. And yes I find that last line a bit funny.
  8. On the media...@ NFL.com I almost never see articles on Ravens. Is it owned by Pat sources or what? Everyone knows the Pats blame us for reporting (to Colts) THEIR cheating...that's SO backwards.
  9. Torrey Smith...a class act.
  10. @EddiOK - yes, agree...there's always hope and something to learn. What pulls a team out of a rut is confidence and positive mindset. That's why I complain about the fans lately. Being negative solves nothing. I come here to read and it's all negative...you'd think this team can't even get a down. Of course they get downs (no 7 in NFL in total offensive yards!), and our defense holds teams to under 6 points per game in score difference. All I see has happened is some mistakes yes, and a long losing steak.
  11. Fans who don't bleed purple?...go...bye bye...don't need you.
  12. @BillyD - fair enough, I can see your perspective too. I have posted here in past we need leaders to step forward, and I agree the leadership hasn't gelled yet, I would say that's the real missing link here. Not talent or fight, just confidence a leader or leaders inspire...like the great Ray Lewis, tough shoes to fill. But someone def needs to step up.
  13. We're not at 'bad' IMO. Injuries plus 5 of 7 road games to start off. Plus all within 6 points score per game (some even less). It will be interesting to see how second half of season goes...the entire picture remains to be seen. @ week 6 the season is hardly over, even tho many fans have predicted it is.
  14. Cheers to you! Way to raise the roof!
  15. I strongly disagree. I think there is too much extreme blame being placed on the team. They are hardly playing their best, but to say 'they suck' when all 6 games have been within a single score and down to the wire is not a sucking team. It's a team playing good but not good enough. But at least they are fighting. Fans, many are simply giving up in the face of adversity, which is not what this team is about. So that's why I say the fans (some) suck for being so consistently negative...like that will get the job done!
  16. People forget how close our games have been, and people forget that our rankings are better than our season record. People only see in black and white, instead of seeing the fight...in the team. Boy do people here forget.
  17. Yes, you fans sure do suck.
  18. Raven's offense ranked no 7, I repeat no. 7 in NFL http://espn.go.com/nfl/statistics/team/_/stat/total
  19. John was right, people are scoffing. Ravens just need to keep ignoring the scoffers. I'm sure they will
  20. Hope we get Pitta back soon, that would give Joe a needed confidence boost. His self-called "stupid mistakes" are a result of being overly cautious instead of attacking it with confidence.
  21. I support this team and feel their pain along with them. But I'm just a fan, I'm not the one suiting up for gruesome practice every week only to get beat on Sundays. Sure they make good money, but they also sweat, bleed and face all sorts of pains weekly. They have my respect. GO RAVENS!!!
  22. That TD was awesome! Had we won that game it would definitely be a highlight replay. Kinda gets shoved under the rug due to not winning. But nice to know the humorous side of things...especially at this juncture.
  23. Smith, Gilmore and Forsett all could play Sunday...best news I've heard all day. Even tho it's a 'could' at least there's some hope.
  24. Maybe not for you, but I guarantee for the players and coaches there is indeed....next game.
  25. Yes! I'm more disappointed with the fans than I am with the team! Why? Well, taking pride in team and all you associate it with, also includes the caliber of fans you stand beside in this effort and thinking that most generally 'believe' in beating odds and that's what football or any competitive sport requires to be successful. Sure it would be great to be winning right now, sure it sucks to be losing...but to see fans kick the players, coaches and staff while they are down and fighting to get out of the hole is quite frankly an emabassing assembly of supposed supporters who are nothing of the such! I know there are some die hard fans out there tho, like you and others I read...I take solace in that, not everyone feels so entitled as some here obviously do. Armchair quarbacks, lol ...as if they could 'get it done' while at home analyzing everything into a ditch. Try being supportive for a change, what happened to "win, lose or tie, I'm a Ravens till I die?" Seems shallow sentiment lately based on some posts seen here. I know some will say "we have a right to point out what's not working, and not always pretend it's all sunny." Yeah, but the team needs its fans to BELIEVE in them. I just don't see many doing that ATM. Sad. Such extreme disbelief is actually what's happening.
