  1. Great pumpkin make Suggs not injured opening game.
  2. It's mathematically possible. If you are going to pick apart my post at least do so truthfully. Yes nuff said already.
  3. I'll never get used to it. This team deserves more respect, nothing I can do lol. But I'll never be used to it. I guess we will have to win 5 more SB before they even mention us in a positive light.
  4. What's up with NFL.com? Every week, after week, no articles on Ravens. Other teams regardless of record, get stories. We don't get hardly anything. Then today an article of trading SSS to Carolina. So, when we do get an article, it's negative about our team in one way or another. So, what's up with NFL.com?
  5. I have game pass I watch nearly every NFL game weekly. Quit pretending you know me which you obviously don't. Nuff said.
  6. Yes, the article was a tad bit ungrateful. Pitta helped get us to the Super Bowl for cripes sake. I do like Crocket tho, but he needs to see more snaps to see how he does in a longer term evaluation before absolutely concluding as such article written here. I hope he does well.
  7. I would go for it, if it were my dream, goal to continue a NFL career. And the team seems to be openly considering this option. He's not just any ordinary player, he's a very talented player, so I can understand why he feels he still has something to contribute to this team, or any NFL team for that matter. He's been with them on the sidelines the whole time, imagine how hard that is to watch games at 1-5 currently. You just know he's excited about potentially playing.
  8. The first time he had a 4 month recovery, this time a 13 month recovery. That's a good sign as the 4 month was the minimum time and may have been way too soon.
  9. It's good to have Pitta back practicing and soon to play. I'm not worried about him getting reinjured. This is his choice to play and it obviously means a lot to him to get back out there. Pitta is solid, it's a good move for us to work him back into lineup. His replacements did good too, so hopefully can just move around some chess pieces keep everyone involved.
  10. Yeah, loosening up will definitely help them. When I watch games I don't see a team that doesn't care, I see a team trying hard and a bit tense looking. Understandable considering only one win thus far. It puts everyone in a sense of urgency. But they should do the opposite in a way, and as you say, find "fun" in the challenge and to get a win. It's interesting to me as we are all debating this team...and they head to Phoenix to play Monday which is symbolic of THE Phoenix, the mythical bird that dies and rises from its ashes in rebirth. A complete transformation and 180 turn of direction. That's what this team needs, a rebirth. And leaving the past dead and in the past.
  11. If we do make a run for playoffs it means we must win these next 3 games, then we are still alive, but barely. It'd be a crazy run, but boy would we have a story to tell if it panned out. Harbs seems like the guy who is 'game on' for it. Either way, we'll know more ourselves after next week and following weeks.
  12. Check this out: Peyton has throw 10 interceptions (3 more than Flacco) and Denver is 6-0 ...proves that what the rest of players do matters a whole lot. http://espn.go.com/nfl/statistics/player/_/stat/passing/sort/interceptions
  13. I still think the Offense is our strength and the reason we're played close games. They are not mediocre...just it's like... they make 2 good plays then a mistake or penalty...or as my dad says "why did they run that play?" Type of call. So just seeing them play solid and tighter. But I think they are good. Which makes the losses sting harder.
  14. Again agree 100 percent I like how you filled out the details and specifics of his 'work day'. I wanted to say more earlier but I was tired of posting so much lol, all this defending legit players gets tiring to me lol. I'll be back at it tomorrow. because I think there's just as much good to say on this team as bad. We are at 50/50 and the "do you see our glass half full or half empty" question applies. And the best half empty argument I've come across here is "who cares if we are good, if we lose the games?" That's a good argument. All I can say to that is...I keep the faith for the rest of our 10 games that we can get a lot of wins. Because I see we have the ability and we need to avoid mistakes and penalties...then we'll win those games that we previously lost by small margins.
  15. There's lots of factors at play this year. He's proven he can sneak out of the pocket. Remember miracle at mile high? I don't make excuses for Flacco. I simply point out the positives because I see us fortunate to have him. I have lots of reasons and plays I could point to, I just did one.
  16. Yes, and those good plays get lost in the scuffle of a difficult season start. But what a beautiful TD he made last week. Still makes me smile how that play went. That was his call on the play after he saw the formation unfold in mid play.
  17. Not to mention Flaccos been getting blitzed a lot more these days, pockets not getting protected like it used to.
  18. Ah...So Harbs is still playoff bound? You go get em Harbs!
  19. "What if we do the impossible?" If I miss anything about my career, it will be to listen to what people say you can't do, then go do it. - Ray Lewis

Yeah some Ray Lewis vibe would be what the doctor ordered right now.

Ray could say that cause he had the heart, fire, passion and intensity to go out there and make things happen! This present Ravens roster just don't have it in'em like that! We all need to accept that!

i accept no such thing, no there is no one there that reminds me of him, but they battle every game, even present day Ravens don't lose by landslides...that's similar to what Ray preaches...go out and fight.

  20. Are you kidding me? Anything is possible. In football it's still mathematically possible.we'd have to win pretty much every game from here on out. Then the playoffs against some seriously talented teams. If any team could pull a monumental upset it's the Baltimore Ravens. In a way we already did in 2012, because no one in NFL I don't think predicted us getting past Denver. So it's a different group of players this time and odds are way less likely then back then, but I like that persons optimism anyway.
  21. @steelcityraven - I think after the 5th loss they had to reevaluate their mission statement. Up until the last loss it seemed Harbs wanted to fight to stay in playoff contention. I see him/them saying here that's no longer the goal today. The goal is to get as many wins this year as possible but to do it with a level head and realistic expectation of the remainder of year. So in a way they are admitting playoffs look to be out of the picture, but the season itself is one to keep playing each game to win, and then next year renew playoff mission.
  22. I agree! I'll add Gilmore, Forsett, Juszczyk, keeping Tucker, a healthy and stay healthy Campanaro to that list. Also I think Aiken is developing nicely. Torrey Smith I loved him, but he wasn't consistent. Sure we miss him this year, but if Aiken and Perriman light up...well then, we have deep receivers again. And let's not forget Ross our returner looking good last game. Others I could mention too, that can and likely will improve because they are young and already off to good starts (Maxx and Boyle for example).
  23. I like the approach Harbs, Ozzy and company are taking here, it's very professional. Something to hold our heads high about this year. Reading this article was actually a relief. Like: "yeah, we got this." Because to simply panic by 1. Insisting a win no matter what by handing plays over to rookies because starters are injured is foolish. Them saying "we won't do this" is quite frankly refreshing insight. And 2. To tank the season so as to get better draft picks is equally disturbing because as fans we want to get excited for wins every Sunday, Monday or Thursday. So them not selling out for a better year is another positive. What I hear them saying is, we'll make the plays we feel are appropriate for our level of playing experience and hope we do well with that. But we acknowledge this year might be one to write off, but we'll do it in style. And with an attitude of improving this season regardless. And then look forward to a much better next year. I like that, considering where we are at and how we can successfully move forward and feel good about the tough situation we're currently in.
  24. Agree. So many things happening with this team right now. You summed it up really well, my thoughts have been much the same. I think the biggest shake up to this team is the unfortunate injuries. Really significant players getting these long term injuries is so hard to recover from week by week. Sure, Harbs and others say it's no excuse, because they have to stay positive and not make excuses, but injuries hands down change team dynamics. With Forsett for example, we had the ball in red zone, had he not hurt his ankle, he may have run it in next down or two for TD, we win the game. But he goes out and sure, another player should have gotten it done. But point being the injuries happen at worst times and to the best players, at a time when all we have been able to rely on are a few key players. So, Bisciotti may very well exercise such patience because of the stream of bad luck that is 'not entirely' the cause of our string of losses, but the fact that those injuries DO add insult to injury... literally. Get this team healthy and they still keep losing...that would cause a shake up in the coaching staff for sure. Yes, most are unhappy with DC, and I can't decide on that who's to blame for the defenses gaffes. I tend to think it's just lack of leadership (that kick-some-butt mentality) to drive the other defensive players to perform better at their positions and assignments.
