  1. Very true...that's why I'm happy when we have class act players on our team (or just any team to lesser degree but still), or formerly (like Torrey who is no longer a Raven but always will be in a sense) these people help counter-balance out the players who feel entitled and invincible and are overall ego maniacs because they play sports and think that makes them above everyone.
  2. Ah who am I kidding on having the lofty ideals the NFL will take serious action on this? Wimps will be allowed to stay wimps all for the sake of $$$. And that's what those men who beat on women are...total wimps. I've never been a victim of DV myself...but obviously someone who has anger issues takes it out on someone weaker (most women are weaker than the average NFL player, physically speaking). Well, if you are a strong guy in NFL...and you get angry, why not do something more manly like find some big bulky guy and challenge him to a fight? At least then you are not a wimp. Makes sense right? You get to vent your anger issues on someone...your own size and strength, no shame in that. On related subject, heard on radio in Oct that the NFL thought they broke a streak...that streak was : since 2009 each and every month a NFL player has been arrested for one reason or another. So, they 'thought' Sept 2015 saw no arrests in NFL and they made the happy announcement...only to be corrected on the matter because some player was arrested Sept 30th or around the end of month thus keeping the winning loser streak alive...if you follow my wording on that so, NFL has lots of cleaning up to do I doubt they'll ever do or figure out how.
  3. Yes, and I don't know the particulars or details...my hunch is lawyers, legal beauracracy, have much to do with the hesitancy this time around to bring strong restrictions on Hardy (such as Ray Rice obviously received). So it's so very true the hypocrisy of draping players in pink weeks at a time (as article mentioned), yet in contrast allowing domestic abuse to be this totally gray, in many ways, unchallenged territory. It will be interesting is Ray takes this further as a cause.
  4. Hardy shows less remorse, less humility or dignity than Rice. At least Rice is making his experience worthwhile to his life and the NFL in general. Hardy is just some bully still playing football, still earning a large salary and sending the message it's ok to beat up women...what a wimp!
  5. Speaking of Colts...it must be easy to be in afc south...easy breezy. And speaking of Denver...they never beat the teams we need them to beat. They always tank those games. I'm beginning to think it's on purpose smh.
  6. I hope they are at least flexible to bring back former players, obviously too late for Jacoby, but in general never say never cause sometimes it's not a good move to reunite...and ...sometimes it is.
  7. I don't think Harbaugh is just being polite and pretending to consider Jacoby. Harbaugh to me is not that kind of person. If he says he's considering Jacoby, then they are(we're) considering the possibility, plain and simple.
  8. Hey, good news there's at least considering bringing Jacoby back. He's a veteran, and can catch in most amazing situations...ahhhem, Denver so he had some bad years no one will argue that, but maybe now he's play with added 'appreciation' to be back in Baltimore. Cause I doubt he had much fun in SD.
  9. I sensed this was the case with this team. You just feel 'something special' about them, or I did anyway. Nice to hear to what extent it is happening, which is significant. Keep up the good work Ravens on all levels of play, including being a team that sticks together! Yup, lots of NFL teams out there have meltdowns...not us tho... that's awesome to hear!
  10. Suggs at 33 is definitely too young to retire, glad it sounds like he'll be back. I kinda thought he would anyway, seemed the team did too. I guess that's why I didn't question it much...it was an 'of course!' In my mind.
  11. A shout out to all the fans who showed up to the game in purple and black! As Ray Lewis said to the Ravens team pre game speech to do...rally behind your leader. That's so true and why there's been success in any season any year, it's loyalty and family, in this case team family. Support...show up, even in disappointment, believe. That's what RL is about and what the Ravens are about!
  12. Great game, bittersweet. Was so hoping it was twisted ankle, and now so hoping to see you next year SSS!
  13. I feel the same, and hope so...if that's what he wants I'm all for it too.
  14. Annnnd, as predictable as can be, NFL .com did an article on SSS comments. I'm starting to get a real laugh out of the reporting on that site. SO biased it's...getting hilarious to read their articles.
  15. Nice to have Ray Lewis in the house again! Bring us some luck!
  16. I'd be happy to see SSS stay another year. Maybe he was feeling family sentiment when he made the initial announcement, but now realizes he can have lots of family time and still compete in 2016. (Football players get several months off in spring, so that's something.) If his body is up to it, I see his heart is definitely still in it. Retire when your heart tells you to.
  17. So what is the offensive game plan first quarter? Conservative or aggressive? In a way I can understand why being aggressive can backfire if you fall behind first quarter. But on other hand, if you flip the script (Trestman) and play your first quarter like I've seen Ravens do drives down field in 4th quarter, so aggressively and taking more risks, then possibly you get an early lead and force the other team to play catch up instead of us always doing that. So, I'm suggesting (and I'm sure I'm not the first to do so) to play aggressively early on, and adjust later if needed, not the other way around. And it's not clear to me that Ravens are conservative first quarter or not, but something definitely about a slow starting offense every game this year, change that and some exciting things can shift in modus operendi.
  18. Ah, to be young and _______ fill in the blank
  19. Well, we won a Super Bowl 3 years ago, so that was quite an accomplishment for Harbaugh, Flacco and other players then. They found a way that year. And it's not like any football franchise just keeps winning the Super Bowl every year, so to have had won one in the last 5 years is good, and making playoffs is good. This is the first really bad year, so many good years this team made playoffs. Not all franchises can tote such a record thus far.
  20. I have observed the same, and while I wish this were not true, it is true about this fan base overall. The actual true fans that know how to rally behind their team are a much smaller number than the overall group that claims to support this team. Some say they support but then everything out of their mouth is so unsupportive. I'm just glad Flacco (and others) appear to not notice this, or else they might become hugely discouraged. Maybe not...just glad he's kinda unaware it seems the level of negativity around fans. I should try to be more positive of the fans but they are just so hugely disappointing. The actually team, I'm quite proud of them, their attitude and the fight in them. I know they've had difficulties on many angles, so for them to be so tough throughout this first half season is something Ravens Nation should be grateful for...but that's asking a lot considering many here think this team sucks...I for one don't, and will be cheering them on, and attending in person the Seattle game!
  21. Ref admits it like: "oops, I was wrong, my bad." Well NFL, THATS just not good enough. You fine players and coaches when they do wrong, but all we get from ref is admidance? And where do they get off saying the calls didn't affect the outcome of game, how stupid is that remark? Oh, ok, penalties don't affect outcome of game huh, then stop giving them all together since according to this logic...they don't affect the game. Smh
  22. The announcers of the game last night...I appreciate them giving our team credit. They had a lot of positive things to say about Ravens, all true. It was nice to hear as announcers, be it Sunday, Monday or Thursday aren't always giving fair credit to our situation. But last night was done well at least by announcers.
  23. "Scobee angers Snoop Dog" you just can't make this stuff up. I needed a laugh cause after that stupid ref job last night I'd rather cry. Yes it's not because of refs we are 1-6, but on other hand...so many dumb ref calls have cost us dearly when we just need a break man. We...had...this....game...legitimately. Cept for dumb refs.
  24. Black bird fly, black bird fly, into the light of a dark night sky...you were always waiting for this moment to arrive.
  25. It's always interesting when we play a team we rarely play...like Cardinals. There's a huge X factor in how those type of match ups go.
