  1. You are right, we would view that differently if it came against us (if we were kicking the fg not Browns) however...lol, what I think you are not seeing is, ...this is a weak call period where as our past grievances with the NFL refs in games this season were something more extreme and involved players impacting in the play in question. Anthony Levine didn't factor into this particular play, so it's not a big deal. We may have talked about it...but you assume if tables were turned we'd have been outraged the refs didn't call neutral zone infraction. I don't agree with you. I see the things we have discussed about refs this year, the calls they made that hurt us and later they admitted they got it wrong...those calls where things that mattered more...a hand hardly matters being slightly off the imaginary line imposed on a screen...and it would be embarrassing if we made a huge deal of that...but WE didn't. And you're simply assuming we would have, based on previous complains against refs this year. I think we would have talked about it but hardly felt robbed of a win over it, if situation were reversed.
  2. Good point...the imaginary line is suddenly "all powerful" lol. Yeah, I think that's why it's good they let it go...or maybe the refs just plain didn't notice...either way I fail to see it being a big deal...to Browns fans I'm sure it was, but in overall calls made or not made...it's a pretty weak one to contest.
  3. It has to do with how franchises are organized, their mentality towards games and winning. That's why we can't be discounted no matter who we play, we are a culture in this Baltimore franchise of fighting to win each and every game, up to the last seconds of game...our record reflects that where as Browns season records reflect a losing mentality and lack of such effort, so to give them the overwhelming advantage going into THIS game went against such demonstrated performances...THATS HOW
  4. Sooooooo, let's recap...before the game only 6 of 49 pundits picked the Ravens to win...even tho as a franchise we've won 2 SB and made the playoffs many years, compared to Browns who have not won a SB and had 2 winning seasons since the franchise was moved...well done pundits 'nice' that you took these things into account when making your selections.
  5. We have a playmaker in Brent Urban. Will Hill made himself ready for a blocked fg...those two synchronized at just the perfect time...3 seconds on clock lol...it was great! We are a prime time performing team regardless of us getting flexed out of our schedules. We always make it interesting! I am glad this time the 'interesting ending' worked in our favor
  6. Thank you cobrajet...nice that we see the same. One day the NFL world will give this team the credit it deserves.
  7. Yes, they started crying foul, and the article on the game results at NFL.com even mentions the ref calls being unfair...it's so funny to watch them be cry babies, and just a week ago they were saying that about us and our ref troubles.
  8. Wishing Schaby luck and the Ravens a win...I'll never kick my team when they are down.
  9. Almost no one picks us to win....love it! Let's stick it to them.
  10. I originally wanted a night game and was holding hope up until last minute. I was at first upset about being flexed out. But then realized an early game might be the best thing after all. Especially in cold Dec. I don't understand why ppl here are saying we deserve to be flexed out...we always put on a good show and keep scores in games close...no one blows us out. We are interesting to watch each and every time (Flacco era) we take the field. So, we are a competitive match up no matter who we play year after year...we've been consistently this way. That's why I'm guessing they gave us 5 prime time games originally. We still lived up to our ability of close games this year...the flex is only because our record and loss of star power draw. But we don't deserve to be flexed based on how close we stay in game scoring to our opponents. If the Texas/Pats game is a blow out...then SNF gets what it deserves by bailing on us. But...I'm happy for the day game regardless now that I've accepted it.
  11. Ticking off Seahawks...yet another bonus.
  12. Good, I get to attend the game early, then watch the Patriots lose on Sunday night against Texans...a win win
  13. How did we get here? Or, how do we get out of here? Well... It was all a horrible dream, we are going to wake up and realize nobody shot JR Ewing. We look at the desk calendar by the bed...it's Aug 2016...2015 is a hazy dream memory that we can soon forget because it's history. That being said, let just finish this year out with some wins!
  14. They need to put a logo on their helmet, otherwise they look like a team of minimalists and their record reflects that too. They should put a dog on helmet or something (but not the one thing that's been joked about of course They have this thing called dawg pound...it's a cute thing...so why not splurge and make a logo of bulldog on helmet ...jazz it up a little, it's a step in right direct IMO. Create more of an identity to build upon. Even tho that's just an artistic change, it can focus attention around a theme...can be of practical use for building momentum purposes. That's how advertising works.
  15. The Patriots fans just think we've got bad karma, what they will one day realize...next year perhaps...is that when you go 'up' as much as they have this year, the only way to go next is down...and as they go down, any other team fan of football can call it their karma, but truth is it's just the nature of the sport and Pats will have their share of bad seasons to come...plus Brady is no spring chicken, he'll retire soon that will shake them up. They might as well enjoy their great season, as it doesn't last...for any team. So enjoy, but to call our tough season our karma for anything we did or didn't do to the Pats is simply...ridiculous.
  16. If they keep the Baltimore-Seahawks game @primetime slot...it's because Russel Wilson. It's still a long shot, but I hope they consider that enough of a draw cause I really wanted to see a nighttime game. I could care less about seeing Wilson, I just know how networks think, and that's the only thread hanging on since we lost our star power pretty much with tons of injuries. The Panthers game? They are already in the playoffs, so no ?s there on if they make playoffs, I don't think that's a big draw. Of course there are other match ups that are playoff worthy...so fingers crossed they just leave the schedule be. Sigh.
  17. @darkraven in va, I can understand you because making playoffs is rarity only 6 teams per 2 leagues make playoffs, so for this team to make it...6 out of last 7 years was it? That's remarkable. So this year they don't make it to playoffs, it's still a good record to go so many years IN playoffs, and it's actually quite rare to do such consistently. So, fans should hang in there just based on the Ravens overall track record, they deserve that much.
  18. Some say this flex game with Seahawks will be moved out of Sunday night roster...I hope not! Was looking forward to nighttime game...I've attended day games (redskins but I wasn't a fan my bf then was) but haven't been to a nighttime NFL game...so looking forward to that.
  19. They make a cute couple! Can't wait to see baby Tucker
  20. I don't think any football player is soft lol. Soft and NFL just two terms that DONT mix lol. So, rethink that soft notion. Anyone who's soft doesn't make pro. And contrarily, anyone who's out there on the field is tough as nails to even be playing getting banged up week after week.
  21. I'm still excited to come to Baltimore in Dec, ...why? No idea...Flaccos out, Forsett out, Steve Smith out, Terrell Suggs out, Camp out, Pitta out, etc etc etc. The Staduim will be half full (I hope it's that full) good thing is, those will be the die hard fans so should be fun. (But still excited because...)This is a beautiful city and the namesake of team Edgar Allan Poe is buried here. Got some nice sites to see, and tho I've been here before I need to see why it's call charm city. And, I'll cheer the team we have, even tho it's a skeleton of its former self. That's what we're working with, that's what we'll do. This adversity only makes us more versatile team in future and gives us the advantages of such experiences of dealing with tough situations.
  22. Fisher looked mad on the sidelines the whole game...like "this was personal". It's football...so Fisher, it's professional. Keep trying to realize that so you can instill that in your team.
  23. It was hard reading the first paragraph about Kaepernick, because so many things off about that perspective. One, the way it's written it sounds like we WANT Kaepernick...here's news...hardly no one in Baltimore wants him to come here. So it's already almost a mute point (except for any who may want him...a minority I'm sure). But let's say for argument's sake it's a valid point. I think, that it being a valid option...WE could do much better than Kaepernick as a back up QB lol. After all, what has he been able to do in San Fran? So why acquire him? Just doesn't make sense. Hopefully we never see that happen, if it does I'd very surprised.
  24. Well done Allen. Also, as many empty seats at M&T, the fans who stayed until the end...you all made some serious noise! Sounded like a full stadium...Well done!
  25. I don't. I think the bad karma is the overall negative energy (not from the team itself). But I also think of it as a test of character for these team members and coaches on how they deal with adversity. And...they've come out of it with flying colors and demonstrated poise and patience, team commitment and maturity. Many in NFL be it fans of other teams, or sports commentators etc are taking notice and respecting the way the team is responding to all these challenges. Only a small group of people are blaming the team for this 'karma' like some Pats fans say it's for deflategate. That's how they want to see it. Ray Rice incident is not the cause of anything happening to the Ravens this year, and that's another phony blame. Truth is, this team has made the most out of their troubles by showing the nation how they respond to setbacks and disappointments. Again, a team to be proud of.
