  1. The FO will be working the phones lining up udfas. Those will be far more sexy and interesting to discover. That may be where we see the WRs, OTs, RBs. No expectations on my part, my hopes have been crushed with this draft. :(

However, I do know Ozzie drafted some good talent so all is not lost. :)

    Go Ravens[/quotes/]

Lets be honest, we are deep at WR and CB already. Though not taking Richardson (and he is still on the board) really suprised me.

  2. Because we've had our fill of developmental WRs that never pan out. And I'm not even specifically mad about WR. I would have taken a RT that could start. A RB even.

Any love for the offense at all.

I wouldn't have took a rb before 79 and with brooks on the board, we had to take him. I was a little suprised when we passed over Moses in the 2nd for Jernigan but Jernigan was a1st round graded guy. We really don't need another wr if we are sold on Mellette. I don't think we take a tackle. I think we go cb, rb, o-line depth, and we with the remaining rounds

  3. I guess Crocker is the inline blocking TE that the team wanted.

To me, it looked like a draft for need, in which we got our blocking TE to compensate Dennis Pitta and Owen Daniels.

Looking on Gilmore, he compares favorable to Dennis pitta, so solid pick.

  4. It doesn't matter to me.  If I want to show I actually want to come back and play, I'm not even going to take a chance that I look bad.  Whatever the circumstances, he was late and didn't even technically work out.  That doesn't seem like a guy that wants it to me.

I was actually rooting for the guy and hoping he could turn that light back on.  April or not, this is a terrible look and I'd be done with him.  He's done nothing to deserve another chance in my opinion.

Unless there are some sort of circumstance here, I doubt the Ravens even considered signing him. Being out of shape is somewhat forgivable, but being out of shape, late, and refusing to do drills is inexcusable. There are more than plenty of other options.

  5. Yeah, I read some of this stuff on wiki. He actually went undrafted and agreed "in principle" to a contract with the niners, but ultimately signed with the Titans in 2010 and ended up being cut. TB picked him up off waivers then traded him to NE last year for a 7th round pick.  I was just wondering if he's not viewed as a possible everyday back for some reason or is it his attitude issues that have him moving around.

He's not viewed as an every down starter. He a good committee back, but simply can't start. He just not that feature back type.

  6. It's curious that after 3 years Blount hasn't stuck anywhere. I don't know that much about him and wonder what the issue is(?).

Well, he was drafted by Tampa and traded to NE. He only had one year left on his contract, so he set out in free agency. NE has Ridley and Vereen so they didn't need him. Pittsburgh then signed him. He had a 1000+ rookie season, but struggled before the end of last season. Blount also had some aggression issues, as he really got into with a Boise State fan after a game while he was at Oregon. It lead to some punches being thrown. His work ethic was reportedly bad in Tampa as well. So basically, your talented RB that gets in the way of his own success.

  7. I guess there are definite plans to address FS in this draft. I really dont have a lot of faith in Clinton-Dix or Jimmie Ward. I think Calvin Pryor is the best option, but I dont know that another rookie as last line of defense is gonna be best situation on a thinning DB core.

Pryor is much like Elam. He can play either safety, but is much better suited for SS. I don't see us taking him or Haha. I could see us taking Ward with our second round pick

  8. Wow, I am so glad we got Monroe taken care of. Finally get our LT of the future locked down.

Next FA signings that need to happen (order):

    Daryl Smith

    Owen Daniels

    Steve Smith (pending release)

    Eric Winston

    Jacoby Jones

Move Owen Daniels to the top. Two time Pro Bowler, familiar with the new offense, and perfect for our Kubiaks two TE sets. Get him in ASAP.

  9. That's not what I heard.  I saw the EDS could be one of the first ones signed after FA officially opens tomorrow.

We shall see. De La Puente could work as well, but I think it will be tough to find a center would will start a decent amount of time.
