Haven't seen that he has. Isn't he more of a zone corner than a man corner?
Yes, but he's talented enough to sign.
Sorry the rants boys, it's getting to heated. I'm done talking about Chykie, anyone know if Roberson got picked up by any team yet ?
Not as of now. He's still there. Purifoy is also back on the board, as is Hampton
A couple RBs according to the NEPatriots website.
Thats good, we could use like one more guy at RB.
We probably weren't, Ozzies board is (surprise surprise) different to the draftnik boards. Just another flavor of the month.
desir was worth a comp 4th
Lets actually get back to ravens UDFA. Anyone new?
^We should turn this into a separate thread so the UDFA thread isn't derailed further.

Ok your taking to another level, If flacco goes down the season is over no if's and but's no back qb is gonna do anything about that. 2) Asa could be come a good player, but i think we just throw him in and jus wait for him to become good, and dont forget he's already had one drug suspension, who knows if he gets another one he could be out for the season.
3) I think Chyie only the has the potential ok #3 at best, it would be better if would have added someone with more talent, but what do i know, its not a passing league or anything....
4) You said he doesn't have to be able to guard Megatron or any #1 what happened last year when Megatron lined up in the slot 2 or three times against Graham, He was wide open, but thankfully he dropped those ones. You can't say he wont have to guard #1 because sometimes they have to when they line up in the slot. When that time comes where he does guard a #1 it could be a touch down.
5) We want Webb in the slot because he plays better there, and if we want him to play slot and he does, Chykie will be seeing the oppositions #1 50% of the time.
Those are the reason why I think we should add more depth to are cbs and stop saying well no 6 rd cbs will help us, remember this draft is one of the deepest we seen so sum of the cbs we past on would have gone 3rd or 4th in other draft. Have you been watching the draft they have been talking about how deep the draft was almost everyday.
I think you have a valid point, but this is overplayed by know. Let's go back to talking about the UDFAs. Seamster, Hopkins, Boyd, and Hurst could all be great players for us.
I'm not dead set against giving him a shot, but i wouldn't until i know for sure he is over the cocaine, he will now have more money than ever and that'll make him way more susceptible to falling back into cocaine, thats not an addiction that easy to get over especially when you can afford it no problem
And you have a solid job as well.
That's fair enough. I wouldn't mind giving him a workout and maybe having him in for preseason.
i'd do that, but I'm not signing him before i see him with my own eyes if I'm Ozzie.
You have zero way of knowing that
Let's just say I prefer to keep away from players with cocaine habits.
The ravens signed Jerry Rice Jr. Obviously just being related to arguably the best receiver in NFL history makes him a big name, but it doesn't mean anything really. Just kind of cool that if he could make a roster it would be the Ravens.
He had 11 receptions for 80 yds at UNLV last year. can someone say name brand only?
Who cares about reputation? Just win baby. If Colt makes us a better team, sign him.
He's a ticking time bomb. He's gonna explode in our face one day if we take him.
Ok back to UDFAs. Any new guys?
Mosley is a better player, better football player than Shazier. Plus he's playing in a better defense. And Shazier going in the top 15 is hardly a "steal". If not for his speed he wouldn't even be considered in the 1st round. And speed doesn't make linebackers, the key is having great instincts. Mosley is a different animal when it comes to that.
I had Shazier going to GB before the draft (thought both HHCD and Pryor would go top 20). I considered him a tiny bit of a reach there. He doesn't fit the steelers scheme well either.
Gave them bad PR for a couple months... And yeah that's the only risk that would come with Lyerla. If he does great and we resign him long term then screws up.
Yes, I'm sure that NE wants to be forever know as the team that drafted and gave a contract extensionto a murderer. Just looks great. I just don't want to get the Bengals reputation for having lots of felons on their team.
ha dont make laugh Chykie could barely cover, with limited snaps still gets caught on all the time. and i like asa but still needs time to develop, have u watched any tape on these collage cbs, sych as Roberson Reynolds, they all have WAy better coverage skills than Chykie and Asa. Watch sum tape first before u make these assumptions
Chykie hasn't been terrible, he's just been really inconstant. At least he has some NFL experience. I don't have the faith of you to say some UDFA rookies have better coverage skills than multiyear drafted NFL veterans. I think you, not I need to watch the tape TBH.
Hernandez was a big part in making the Patriots one of the most dangerous offenses, (lol) before he got in trouble. If Colt could have an impact on the field just close to what Hernandez did, I'll gladly accept and root for him. If he does, signing him long term would become the risk, but we'd have to cross that bridge when we get there.
Hernedez backfired and not only gave them bad PR, but they had to cut him and it really hurts them cap wise. I'm sure the Patriots will tell you that no matter how good his play was, they wished they never thought about touching him.
Joe has never missed a game, so i don't see a back qb as a bigger need than nickel cb.
We can't bet that Joe won't miss a game. that's one of the reason we missed the playoffs last year. If we had a decent back up, maybe we beat the Bengals. We have options for nickel cb and like I said, it's really bad if we have to trust a rookie 6th rounder to be starting Nickel.
There have been more cases where late-round CBs make an impact than late-round QBs. That's the point. I'm not that impressed by Chykie and Asa is a complete unknown outside of preseason. Chykie is a free agent after this season and Asa is untested in the regular season and is close to an annual ban. Granted, that may be a moot point but it's still a possibility.
I think we roll with Chykie and Asa this year. We let Chykie want and if Asa does well, we target a CB 3rd to 5th and if JAckson does bad, we target one 1st-2nd.
Just don't re-sign him, then. That's all. He won't burn us unless we invest big money into him, and I doubt that happens unless he had a "Coming to Jesus" moment.
I guess, but its a decent sized risk
I'm not sure if we were even considering him, honestly.
We had to have been. BPA would have made sense with him.
That's true, but how likely is Wenning really going to help us if Joe goes down? I doubt he will save our season. A third CB could very well do that, because that's a starter here.
We have Chykie and Asa. Both would be better #3's than a rookie 6th round pick. Weinning could at least give us some assurance if Joe goes down.
Wow I love Bullitt's size and instincts against the run.
I'd be on board with bringing in Lyerla. Why not?
I'm not set in stone against it, but I just feel he burns us at the end, kinda like Hernendez did to the Patriots (maybe not murder bad, but ypou get the point)

Jernigan was talked about as a 1st rounder, so unless he completely flops, I'm cool with it.
