And Vaccaro has been maybe the worst safety in the league this year. I say that as a guy who watch him played 3 years at Texas and wants to see him succeed.

Yes, that why I said he is good enough. He's a #3 CB at the least, and that'd good, but no one is gonna mistake him for a star in the making at this point.
ravensnick replied to theultimatefanman's topic in Ravens Talk
I didn't give up on Jimmy either. But look at all the safeties in his class. Vaccaro is struggling worse than he is, Reid isn't doing a ton better. Even Jags fans aren't happy with Cyprien.

He did go back to school and got his degree over the summer after his rookie season. His social media paints him very bad, but let's not jump to conclusions. His degree was in anthropology.

We all gave up on Jimmy Smith before. Db is the hardest transition in the NFL and even the "elite" player still struggle (Patrick Peterson gave up 7 or 8 TDs this year as the second highest paid DB in the league). Usually after Three years, they have it down.

Eh, I'll point to OSU vs Navy in the first three quarters. Navy has a much inferior triple option threat and there still had a comparable OSU d for three quarters.

Arkanas shut out Ole miss and Lsu. Objectively, that's pretty impressive. Look, I have watch most of FSU games and they complete bomb the eye test. Not even close. That said, they do have to stay in the playoffs, unless they lose.
ravensnick replied to BALTIMOREFLACCO's topic in Off-Topic Forum
Last year shouldn't factor at all. FSU is a larger Marshall. They don't deserve it and I would wager they don't even compete in the playoffs but they gotta go in unless they lose.
ravensnick replied to BALTIMOREFLACCO's topic in Off-Topic Forum
Yes but look at OSU in december: rolled over the #7 team in the nation. Defeated the #25 team pretty soundly. They have had a huge win margin recently. They were breaking in a freshman qb and he may be gone but they aren't to be reckoned with. That said, I think OSU should lose to Wisc. Wake is worse than Kansas.Forest State has only beaten ranked Clemson and Louisville, who are both in the late teens and 20s. Notice how ND isn't ranked anymore (for good reason). Those were the only two ranked opponents FSU played. I give they one vs clemson minus Winston but Lousiville SHOULD have beaten FSU. FSU has been really just an annoyance that doesn't cease. Nothing about there play on the field says playoffs but they win nail biters over extremely inferior opponents every week. I commend the Playoff committee for seeing this. FSU last year was entirely different. I think Auburn was the only team to come within like 14 points of FSU. That dominance.

Oklajoma was unforunately still ranked in the top 10 when TCU won. Agreed with Baylor if they beat KSU, but reversely, KSU could make the playoffs if they win and one of Oregon, FSU, or Bama loses.
ravensnick replied to BALTIMOREFLACCO's topic in Off-Topic Forum
No way. They will get dominated the first game of the playoffs when you have to find ways to win vs: Unranked 7-5 Boston College, who lost to CSU Unranked 7-5 NC State Unranked 6-5 Florida Unranked 5-6 Ok St, who even Texas blew out Unranked 6-6 Miami, who lost to UVA Unranked 5-7 UVA You aren't a good team by any measure.
ravensnick replied to BALTIMOREFLACCO's topic in Off-Topic Forum
That WVU loses isn't looking good for Baylor and they should leapfrog TCU if they convincing beat top 10 KSU. My final four: 1. Oregon 2. Bama 3. Baylor 4. TCU Who loses: FSU to GT (some one please put FSU in this grave that they have been tiptoeing the whole season) OSU to Wisc (only because Barrett is done and I think Gordon goes off) In side new, FSU should be the weakest one loss team if they lose.
