  1. The reason there isn't a stand out CB is that there is so many great ones. Ramsey, Hargreaves, Alexander, and even Fuller are competing to be the top corner. It's one thing to not like a prospect, but by sheer volume; this is a very talented corner class. That's not even to add guys like Tre'davius White or Eli Apple, who look like later first rounders.
  2. Next year should see quite a few backs going higher than traditional. Fournette is a legit top 5 pick. Cook, McCaffery, Freeman, and Chubb (if he returns well from injury) all have looked first round worthy. Hurd and Gallman may sneak into that conversation as well. I'd predict Fournette going top 3, Cook going top 12, and McCaffery and Freeman going late first.
  3. I like Ngakoue and Floyd for our system more (Shaqs fit is definitely a 4-3), but Ogbah is clearly the second pass rusher in my eyes after Bosa.
  4. I don't like the trade the draft mentality when it comes to any prospect, let alone a RB. That scenario would reek of the Saint's move for Ricky Williams. Williams was a very, very good player in college and the NFL, but he wasn't worth the sheer amount of picks the Saints gave up.
  5. We can have the wheelchair squad with him and SSS.
  6. Good news is we stop paying for Rice's penalty against the cap. Bad news is we likely take on Pitta's.
  7. Hopefully some team loses all their marbles and takes one of Hackenburg, Cook, or Jones mid-late first round if Goff and Lynch go top ten as projected. That could let quite a nice prospect float down to our second rounder.
  8. I feel mixed about this draft. Really good DB talent, lots of quality edge rushers, ILB talent, and some nice OTs. Everything else is pretty meh at best.
  9. I wouldn't call Treadwell a safe pick as high as we will be. His lack of ability to get seperation could kill him.
  10. 1. Let's review the other first round corners. If you feel that way about Hargreaves, then King and White must be absolutely awful as well, White especially. That leaves Alexander, who I agree is underrated, but some of his weakness get covered up by Clemson's god mode pass rush. 2. Athletic (obvious), physical player. Very, very good at press man cover and blitzing. Not as good at off man or zone coverage, but not bad either. Shows a nice range at the safety position and works well in space. Actually tackles, using good form, unlike many secondary player in the NFL. Decent ball skills. Played with a ton, with a lot of other talented prospects (such as Ronald Darby, PJ Williams, Terrence Brooks), but outshone them all. If he isn't a top of the first round prospect, there are no top of the first round prospect.
  11. I guess the rest of his three year career doesn't matter? Both are still very good prospects. I'd prefer Ramsey over Hargreaves, but I'd eagerly take either. They are both two of the finer secondary players in the nation.
  12. I'm not a fan of Connor Cook at all. he might be one of the more overhyped prospects in the draft. He is in no way a first rounder. Bad accuracy (56% this year), questionable as a leader (3 year starter senior QB not named Team Captain), and he looked like a deer in the headlights against Alabama. He is below Hackenburg for me. I'd grade Cook early third. Also, Cardale isn't going anywhere before late day two at best. Even there is overdrafted. he's worthy a day three flier in my opinion. Nice arm, but we saw this year that the IQ just isn't there. Barrett far outclassed him as a QB and Cardale simply didn't look good against average teams like Virginia Tech, NIU, and Penn State with an elite OL, RB, and WRs. He had the dream offense assembled and he looked average at best. Deforest Buckner is massively undervalued. He is a top ten lock, with very possibly top 5 potential. I like the idea of going Jalen Ramsey and Desmond King. If the team feels good going forward with SSS, Aiken, and Perriman that is. Shepard is good value in the third. He is a lot like Tyler Lockett last year. I'm not sure Yannick will be available that late. Nice Pick in Dahl and Turner. Oakmen will probably be available but he is just a project. Worth it in the 4th I guess. No reason to pick Jackson after Ramsey and King. I don't see how he'd be any better than Terrence Brooks. Not a Prescott Fan, for the NFL at least. Tebow 2.0 in play style. No good for the NFL. Devon Johnson will likely move to FB in the NFL, rather not have him.
  13. Getting Jalen Ramsey, Micheal Thomas/Josh Doctson/Tyler Boyd, and Carl Lawson in the first three rounds would be perfect for me.
  14. I like Alexander a lot. I also think he'd fit pretty well into our scheme. He a tough player and QBs definitely hesitant to throw it his way. His lack of INTs don't show the whole picture. Walter Football proves their foolishness once again because they have him listed as a 3rd or 4th round prospect, because their "inside sources" say that Alexander is a slot CB only. One of the more ridiculous things I have heard.
  15. I'd play him at FS to give him the freedom to roam the field and make plays. He also has the versatility to line up at CB when needed. Yeah, but Ramsey has three years of proof of on the field talent. He has played multiple positions (Safety and Cornerback with a little linebacker) and has been a force at each position. He isn't a combine warrior (an average player with great athletic ability); he is a two time consensus All American at two different positions.
  16. I would be more than fine with Buckner. He's legit and would be beastly as a 5-tech. It might not be a need, but Buckner upped his game quite steadily this year. he proved to be miles ahead of Arik Armstead. Robinson is a nice player, but I wouldn't take him top ten. I'm not sure how much better Robinson is than Kenny Clark or Andrew Billings. Lee is a surefire first rounder in my eyes. Probably in the 20-28 range. He'd probably be best served in a 4-3, but I could see him working very well as an 3-4 ILB as well. Very talented, had two clutch sacks vs Notre Dame and forced a fumble to end the game.
  17. Ramsey is easy in the top 5 athletes in CFB. I think a lot of people are underrating him in that regard. Ramsey won the ACC long jump title, placed 7th in the ACC in the 100m, and was an All American in the Long Jump after placing 4th place in the NCAA Indoor Track Championship. All at 6'1", 200 lbs. I think based on pure athleticism, he is going to have an insanely high floor. His over aggression can hurt him at time, but it is nice to see a player give full effort like Ramsey does. I would be happier draft Ramsey over Hargeaves, even if we ended up stick Ramsey at FS. Ramsey is a rare athlete whose game will fit well into the NFL. I worry about Hargreaves size and speed. He might struggle against NFL WRs despite his amazing technique.
  18. Dural is a guy that I think is a legit second round talent. He will likely rise at the combine and be at least a mid-second rounder. He'd be a great trade back target. Wanted to mention him since I'd didn't see too many talking about him.
  19. I like Travin Dural a lot. He'd be a great addition to the team.
  20. It's not just one bad game. He didn't look very good against Alabama, where Calvin Ridley got the best of him a couple times. Ridley is insanely talented and probably a first rounder in two years, but it is still a tad worrying. Hargreaves is also a tad short for the position at 5"11". IMO, Jalen Tabor outplayed Hargreaves this year.
  21. Agreed. Rudock has shown major progress every year as a starter and I don't think he has reached his full potential yet. He still is second on the Michigan single season passing yard mark. Very impressive. Another year with Harbaugh, and he could have been a top prospect in the draft.
  22. Ramsey's game pretty much told me he needs to play safety at the next level. Ramsey can pretty much only play press man at CB. He struggles at off man or zone. No big deal for him, teams already knew he was a special player at safety and he has shown some talent at CB, giving him more versatility. Hargreaves worries me more. He was playing a guy who has been hot recently, Jehu Chesson, but Chesson isn't exactly a premier talent. He absolutely scorched Hargreaves one on one with a double move for a 30 yard TD.
  23. Both (Hargreaves especially) struggled in their bowl matchups.
  24. Rudock started a little rough but it all clicked for him starting at the Rutgers game. He and Chesson made a great combo during the late stretch. I'd really like to get Rudock as a backup, but I could see him rising. I also can see Connor Cook soaring down draft boards and I don't think too many teams will look Cardale Jones before the third day.
  25. My friend is a Michigan fan, so I've watched a couple games with him. Lewis really impressed me. He's talented and very few guys out there play harder than he does.
