  1. Very few top level players get selected out of the first round. For the 2012-2014 Pro Bowls: Round No. of players Percentage 1st Round 88 51% 2nd Round 21 12% 3rd Round 20 11% 4th Round 11 5.5% 5th Round 8 4% 6th Round 8 4% 7th Round 3 .5% Undrafted 21 12% Source:http://www.clevelandbrowns.com/news/article-1/Pro-Bowl-talent-found-throughout-the-NFL-draft/a739c152-b49f-472c-a2c8-6e941a194d38 Teams like the Browns suffer from the volume of top level picks they spend on quarterbacks that bust (Manziel and Weeden within the last four years) and the amount of turnover in their coaching staff.
  2. Kelce plays for the Cheifs.
  3. Jonathan Allen is returning to school. He and Tim Williams will make a very good pass rush tandem very year for Bama.
  4. i really like Calhoun's moves. His Iowa tape really impressed me. Ngakoue or Spence would also be more than suitable for that position, but I'll admit I need to watch more of Ngakoue before I make a decision on him. Spence does have off the field concerns, but he has made steps in the right direction. I really have liked Dahl as well. Senior Bowl could launch him up the boards.
  5. I'd agree he'd fit better into a 4-3. I could see the Hawks taking him since they are most likely moving on from Irvin.
  6. True enough. Spence is very talented and its scary to thing what OSU's defensive line could have been this year.
  7. Posted it early, finished now.
  8. Having watched Striker a ton, unless he manages to put on weight, he is going to be a pass rush specialist only. I don't think he'd fit well into a MLB role.
  9. Treadwell's 40 is going to a big difference between going top 20 and top 5.
  10. I don't think the drug thing effect Spence as much because he admitted his problem and went back to school for a year instead of coming out with drug problems.
  11. I'd honestly draft Kenyan Drake over Henry. Drake has a ton of tread on his tires and has proven his skills as both a reciever and returner.
  12. It's probably even worse for a guy his size. His knees will be completely worn before his rookie contract is over.
  13. Players don't want incentive clauses. They want as much as they can get in their signing bonuses because that's the only part that is fully guaranteed. Need to have those signing bonuses to sign the players.
  14. I like Howard over Henry honestly. It's pretty easy for teams to go back the last two years and see that Lane Kiffin can only scheme a passing offense around one receiver at a time. Howard was horribly under utilized and has freak athleticism. I'm fine with the Ravens skipping over TE with Gilmore, Williams, and Boyle, but Howard slightly edges out Henry for me.
  15. Granted Shaq was hurt, but Kevin Dodd really stole the spotlight from Lawson in the playoffs. Dodd looks like a first rounder and probably a better NFL player. I also agree that Shaq is pretty much locked as a 4-3 player.
  16. I'm liking him a lot for our second round pick. He is in the mold of the new style NFL at 6'1" and he was very impressive vs FSU.
  17. Good luck getting Spence that late. He looks like a borderline first rounder, even with his off the field issues.
  18. He was a pretty solid day two prospect coming into the National Championship. He was a 5 star TE coming out of high school and was seen as a player who had all the potential in the world, but just couldn't use it all in games. With the national championship, an extremely weak TE class, and likely a good combine performance under his belt, he is looking like an early-mid second rounder with first round potential.
  19. Don't like him at all as a prospect. Way too much wear on his tires. Saban effectively destroyed his pro career with the amount of carries he got this year. Not a factor in the passing game. Runs too upright. Can't find holes if their isn't a huge one there for him (see: National Championship, second half). All north-south with no wiggle or shift abilities. Nice size and speed, but he doesn't run like an NFL back. He could be the second coming of Brandon Jacobs but I doubt it. I don't want him at all. He would be an absolutely horrid fit in the Ravens zone run system. I wouldn't touch him in the first or second and would be extremely reluctant to take him in the third.
  20. I see him more rotating in with Jernigan, so I didn't list him.
  21. Jernigan and Williams are cemented starters. I feel fine with a rotation of Canty, Guy, and Urban at DE plus maybe a mid rounder this year. I absolutely love Buckner and I'd take him if he were there, but I'm not sold on A'Shawn Robinson that high. Robinson is more of a mid-first rounder in my eyes, not much separating him from Kenny Clark or Andrew Billings.
  22. It's not perfect, but he has been very proficient and accurate against many good teams with little to no supporting cast. He's legit in my eyes.
  23. EDGE could really screw us over because we have 33 year old Suggs coming off another Achilles injury, soon to be 32 year old Dumervil coming off a down year, and Courtney Upshaw heading to free agency. Luckily, Zardarius Smith flashed some potential, but EDGE may be a greater need than secondary in this draft.
  24. If I were a QB needy team not in the top 5, I'd be heavily studying Carson Wentz from NDSU. He looked very good against Jacksonville State, who almost beat Auburn. He is getting some early second round buzz, but I could see a Flacco-esque move up the draft boards for him I love Golf (legit top 5 talent) and I'm liking Wentz. Lynch has very high upside, but also a huge downside as well. Very, very risk reward. Lynch would be best served going to a team like Philly that has a decent OL and some weapons, if Philly can get the right coach. Hackenburg could become a pretty good starter if he gets under a guy like O'Brien or Gase, or he could be a career backup without the right mentor. I don't like Cook or Jones at all. They are nothing more than backups. Jake Rudock from Michigan is my sleeper and I could see him having a successful career if the piece fall together correctly.
  25. I also like what I have been seeing out of Allen. If he somehow dropped to our second rounder, I'd like to nab him there.
