  1. Are people here allergic to looking at all the facts or do they just like to believe whatever supports their negative agenda?

Alot of people even go so far as to make up facts to support there agenda not allergic per say just the way things work here sometimes.  People don't like Hostler there is no denying we have a poor history of developing wideouts  except Torry . all of this is speculation and opinion . people are entitled to express how they feel either way

  2. Since when did a prediction from guys who aren't associated with a team that holds on to secrets better then National Security become facts. Unless I missed something, the Aaron Wilson tweet said several "NFL Sources" are "predicting" Hostler will "ultimately" land the job. There is no substance or concrete fact to this tweet. It just sounds like a couple of people perdicting that Harbs will stick to history and promote within. I remember last year that many "sources" "predicted" if Ed Reed hit the open market he'd be a Patriot. How did that play out again? Many sources predicted that Ray Lewis would end upp in Dallas if he hit the open market in 2009, how did that play out?

Now I could see if someone had a "source close to the team" then maybe it might be different. But here that multiple NFL scources are predicting something means little to me. That's like someone saying the Texans are predicted to take Clowney number 1, unless someone with direct knowlegde of what the team intends to do they they are just guessing.

Hell even Steve B, the man who cuts the checks publicly said he "feels confident" about re-signing Ed Reed, how did that work out? I'm not saying Hostler won't be the guy, but there is no weight to this tweet. It means as much as saying multiple NFL sources predict that Russel Wilson will outplay Peyton and win his first Super Bowl.

+100 relax until we know for sure .

  3. Everyone is getting worked up this is still a rumor . There are still interviews going on  why not get upset IF he is picked. I don't know Hostler that well but if our wideouts are any indication then I get it . Its not like the fans have any say we are stuck with whomever Harbaugh picks. we do need a better play book . First we were implementing a zone blocking scheme ,then  Harbaugh  said something about a down hill power running today maybe since he has time to think maybe  he has decided to stick with what works to provide consistency for Joe's sake.

How about giving the guy a chance maybe he has a playbook or new plays in mind we won't know until he gets the job...

  4. I don't like Hostler for OC but to be fair, what has the FO given him in terms of receivers? None in the first round, and only Torrey in the first two. The rest have been projects.

I started to post this same thing , last time I did was hammered. Grab a couple first round receivers who are nfl ready and lets see how things change. But we agree Im not a fan of Hostler as an OC .

  5. When I heard the interview and John's comment's I think it will be Kubiak or Shannahan. The oline personnel they drafted last year Castillo's hire, the implementation of the zone blocking scheme all of this screams one of those two coaches we don't have anyone on staff currently that is qualified to do what they want . I am encouraged by that I don't see Castillo fitting anywhere but where he is now .

  6. Time to part ways completely with Coryell system.  The system is damn old, and if we want to be successful, we need new things that fits to our personnel.

The system was like 34 year old....

Belichick is always successful with his scrub WRs cuz he is creative and willing to go outside of the box....

    PS: I want Kyle Shanahan....

I second this. he's young innovative and he did a much better job without his father. I would be ecstatic if we could hire him

  7.  Myth ;Joe Flacco is not a leader and sits on the sideline looking bored (insert adjective here) between offensive series

Fact: Joe interacts with his receivers going over routes if they make a mistake he corrects them . explains how he wants them ran.

If you are fortunate to attend a game you will see this not every series , but if he threw a pick he is going over the pictures? (not sure what that is) but also on the behind the bench clips you can see this. he's just not a vocal leader.

  8. Positions like quarterback and left tackle usually go first and often, but we have seen that teams do put a high emphasis on a good pass rusher and receiver, so it is not unheard of to see a DE/OLB go first or a wide receiver go top five. Heck, even a op flight cornerback can go top 10, and one has even gone first overall. Positions you will not see drafted too high, for the most part, are linebacker (inside), guard, defensive tackle, running back. A tight end would also have to be very gifted. Of course there are examples that go against those, such as Star Lotulelei, Jonathan Cooper and Chance Warmack, Luke Kuechly, and Vernon Davis, but those are more of an exception than a consistency.

Just about anything can happen on draft day.

A team can take any player in any position with their pick. If a team wanted, they could draft a long snapper with the first overall pick in the draft.

You can draft anyone in any order. Certain positions like QB tend to get drafted earlier because they are deemed to have the most importance, but there is no order to which positions go when.

The only draft order is the order of the teams.

thanks guys. I'm still learning appreciate the help

  9. I have a question .it could be a myth not sure  if I posted in the wrong spot I will delete. is there a special draft order , like qb's go first , te's second, etc etc  or can you draft anyone in any order? or is draft order a myth

  10. Myth: the zone blocking scheme is new to the Ravens.

Fact: I see many people acting as if the ZBS is new for the Ravens or as if they had never seen it, but the truth is when Leach for here, the Ravens went hybrid.

I blame Castillo for the failures. He changed the language (why?), tried to move exclusively to the ZBS, and was unwilling to change the scheme. It took the players coming out and voicing their displeasure for it to change. I heard it was Ozzie trying to brush him under the rug. Not sure how true that is.

I just cannot understand why you would try to change the language of the lineman when they already had something in place that worked, especially when you have a new, young center. Why not let him keep up with what he knew?

I realize a lot has to do with personnel, but with the way the offensive line looked so lost at times with no explanation, mich of that comes back to the coaching.

    Castillo must go.

I agree with this too Gino was set up to fail before the season even started . no one no matter how intelligent can process all of that at once. I blame Harbs and Castillo, they knew going in we would have issues .zone stretch blocking is easy to learn  inside zone blocking and outside blocking not so much  if one person is off or misses there block the whole play  fails.

  11. Myth: Players can be cut without any cap or contract responsibility once they are cut.

While it is true a player can be cut at any time, the guaranteed portion of there contract must be paid, the yearly pay is voided  Any signing bonus, however, ceases to be pro-rated, and the entire balance of the bonus counts against the cap in the upcoming season.

  12. He is should be resigned. Dump Thompson and Doss and you have money to play him. He has a clear role to blow the top off of defenses. He is the best at it on the team because of his speed. He is the best PR AND KR in the league. Why get rid of a player that has a clear role and is the best in the NFL at KR/PR? He commands respect, the the Doss and Thopson don't. Doss and Thompson can be replaced in free agency or draft. He will not be too much.

    What has Thompson done???? Nothing!

What has Doss done besides show that he plays scared? He was benched yesterday for his KR/PR gaffes and inability to catch balls.

A drafted WR is no guarantee. Resign ballers. Besides, you can't knock his age because at 31, he is the fastest player on the team.

I had no clue the Doss had been benched I didn't see that reported anywhere I thought I saw him on the field  several times
