I wish this cancer would be exercised from us already. Last year our line use to move together to create holes and go after the d-line. Now they just stand there and look lathargic like in 2013. Look at how our O-line moved, nothing like this years. Ogden is right about what he said about Castillo not using Kubiak's ZBS scheme and going to man blocking. Ray Rice had a terrible year with Castillo.
Forsett leads the league with 5.6 yards per carry last year and now he's a scrub because of Castillo.
It's clear we went back to ZBS against the Steelers and we looked great at it. Forsett made those 150 rush yards look easy.
It's gooooooood
Aiken has stepped up.
Can't stand when they get lax on the sidelines
Garbage team
He missed it. Awesome
Why catch that
Great job Joe

Awesome job camp
Mike Vick will throw 2 interceptions. Mike Vick looked pretty bad vs the rams.

Dream on! There won't be any historic rally this year. Its not uncommon for a SB roster to be gutted. That's when great coaches earn their salary. As for the constant coordinator changes, maybe we ought to have a pre-nuptial contract with the Offensive and defensive coordinators before we hire them or promote from within instead. I'm really getting tired of seeing former Ravens assistant coaches beating us at our own game. I thought before the season started that we would be OK if we were 4-4 going into the bye week but that didn't include losses to Oakland and Cincy at home. Not even Helen Keller could turn this thing around!
Practice ---> Play ---> Compete ---> Succeed ---> Gain Confidence ---> Win ---> Become a Champion
So far, we are competitive but we're not even close to having a winning team. See above steps
Why can't we hold on to our coaches like the Steelers do? This notion that there's great coaches out there is false, just scrubs. They're not going to come in and fix our problems. They're not going to make our CB's cover better and turn Aiken into an All pro. A Browns' fan was saying that they hope they don't fire they're coach because they need consistency. Bringing in coaches over and over, and then firing them so quick when there's a lack of talent is just asanine. We need to hold on to Harbaugh. He is this team for me. Do you want to be the browns and hire coaches every 2-3 years? Browns fans would think you're beyond spoiled and stupid for letting Harbaugh go.
Getting rid of him just looks dysfuntional. Harbaugh and Pees are not the problem, it's the organization's bad choices. We could easily be 3-0 right now. We are one piece away. They need to stop signing other teams' garbage scrubs like Arrington and Lewis. Let young guys have a chance like Campanaro, Brooks and our other young draft picks.
lolI'd be worried if Mike Tomlin was out there throwing the ball.
It's not like Tomlin's timid of being on the field and making a play or two. haha
If we're 0-5 sure. When's the trade deadline?
October 28. We don't need to be 0-5 to see we won't make the playoffs.
Why would a team take a dude who is retiring?
Because it could help a team like the Packers (lost Nelson) or Seahawks win a Superbowl, and they wouldn't have to give up much. It would be an extremely classy move. If we're 2-5, it should be done.
When a coach loses control of the team, his days are numbered. I'm not sure that has happened yet but if our losing ways don't cease and the lack of discipline, which is the root cause for most penalties, continues, Coach Harbaugh will be looking for another coaching job. Mr. Bisciotti is a businessman. A team either gets better or it gets worse. Since the 2012 Super Bowl run, our record during the regular season is now 18 -17. You be the judge if we're getting better or worse. There's no such thing as the status quo in business or sport. Those players who think they are just in an entertainment industry are sadly mistaken. Its about winning, guys!
I'm surprised not much has been written about the "bold & aggressive" coaching decisions our coach made in the CINCY game. On at least two occasions, he chose to fake a punt from deep in our own territory or go for it on 4th down. Both times the decisions paid off but both decisions could have easily backfired and nailed the lid on our coffin. John panics way too early in games and makes desperate decisions far too often. Usually, it results in taking his team out of a position to win. In Sunday's instance, his riverboat gambling paid off and he gave his team a chance to win so its hard to argue with success. The same aggressive coaching by Marvin Lewis could have easily cost his team a victory when the Bengals failed to score on 4th down at the end of the 1st half.
Egotistical decision-making will be John's downfall if it continues. The best decision he made all day was to bring in Justin Tucker to kick a FG to make the score 17-14 instead of going for it on 4th down. Pigs get fat; hogs get slaughtered. take what the defense will give you but don't be greedy. Just ask Marvin Lewis, whose decision to go for it back-fired and let us back into the game. Never feel sorry for your opponent but never disrespect them either! The Bengals were just saying to the Ravens on that play that we have no respect for you.
I completely disagree. We're just not as talented as a team as we thought we were, and Harbaugh is doing all he can. Joe was throwing to Boldin, Torrey Smith, Pitta and Rice. Now we have Steve Smith and scrubs . We were extremely spoiled and clueless to think we could just keep on winning with so much talent lost. Harbaugh has proven he's a good coach when he has quality players.
It comes across as extremely "spoiled" when fans act like we deserve to win even when we suck. "Oh he's not motivating the team enough," How about we just suck and are a few pieces away. It's not like we're getting blown out every game.
Blame this organization for giving Pitta 32 million after a horrible hip injury, which I thought was stupid at the time. Then turning down Torrey for nearly the same price. I don't think any other teams would pay anything close to that with a serious hip condition. The fact that Pitta still thought he was worth that that much after suffering that type of injury is ridiculous. Such arrogance. Rice is still affecting our cap, yet he's not on the team. We're 0-3, what a joke. We don't have the luxury of picking and choosing over bad publicity . You can't tell me that we couldn't have used Rice on 3rd down check downs over the first 3 games. We'd probably have a win by now. I would also sign Pollard.
Exactly. What Jerry did, will probably never be topped in that frame. Marino was a monster as well. The difference in times does change the aspect of the feat. Doesn't Stafford even have a 5000 yard season?
This has nothing to do with the original topic.
Pees is the reason gas is so high. I also think he shot Kennedy.
I went back and re-watched our game vs the Raiders. The secondary flat out sucks. Jimmy got burned so bad for their first TD when he didn't give Cooper a cushion. He played horrible. He needs time after being away from football for nearly a year. Webb was not great but he will get better like he always does. This organization has one 3rd CB scrub after another since Corey Graham.
He should be uneasy. But you know what? You're on the hot seat, don't stand up there and blame the players yet again. I'm perfect it's the players crap is a real problem.
So Pees should be the scapegoat for the lack of quality players in the secondary that this organization has failed to put together?
First of all im all but ready to write off the season too, but come on seriously. We still have that glimmer of hope, we can come back, we have one of the best head coaches in the league, a Superbowl QB, not to mention a favorable mid season schedule. The formula is there for an epic comeback, no team has done it this century, this team out of all 0-3 teams before them and now, has the best chance of staging that historic comeback. That would be a hell of a sendoff as far as im concerned. There is a first for everything, as far im concerned the ravens have the best shot at being that first team to do it this century. Dont worry about steve smith's epic sendoff we will take care of that. I promise hold it to me if you want.
I said if we keep losing.
This great man deserves to go out contributing to a SB contender like the Packers, not us. If we keep losing, it has to be done. Sorry Ozzie failed you and has Aiken lined up next to you. What a disgrace.
We don't know if the Bears are really attempting to trade Alshon.
IMO, I would give a 2nd.
You think they're going to give away a proven young WR for a second round pick? That's hilarious. They're not giving away their team just because they got rid of a declining old player and average LB.

I have no confidence in us beating the Browns after seeing how they played against the Chargers. Our run game needs to show up if we wanna win. I'm hoping for a big game from Aiken and Forsett.
We would have lost to the Steelers if they had a decent kicker and that's with Forsett rushing for 150 yards.
Forsett 125 yards, Aiken 87 yards, Joe sacked 1 time.
