  1. I wanted the Ravens to draft Landon Collins last year. They took Perriman at #26. Other players I wouldn't have minded. CB Byron Jones, WR Devin Funchess, CB Quinton Rollins, CB Jalen Collins. That's a lot of Collins. OL La'el Collins, S Landon Collins, CB Jalen Collins. I wouldn't have minded if the Ravens took La'el Collins with a third round pick. He was being investigated for a dead ex-girlfriend. Hmm? He said if he doesn't get drafted day two then don't even bother. I liked the Maxx Williams pick. He was still a 20 year old kid his rookie season. Let him develop and he should be fine.
  2. Joe needs a pay cut. Brady and Wilson make less and look at the Patriots and Seahawks. Some players are right when the Ravens let them walk and another team overpays. Kelechi Osemele was drafted in the second round and the Raiders paid him like a top five pick. Who said the Ravens don't draft? Maybe some picks are questionable but some are steals. Ravens should have paid him and moved him to LT. I wanted to draft Conklin and plug him at LG or RT. I told you Osemele was the biggest loss this season and I was right. Raiders can run the football and Carr is the least sacked QB. Ravens loss is the Raiders gain. Their records would probably be reversed if Osemele was still in Baltimore. Ravens couldn't pay Boldin or Corey Graham either. Boldin is still getting it done in Detroit and the Ravens secondary is finally decent again after a couple of years of being horrible. Joe Flacco is a good QB but he's overpaid.
  3. Ravens defense still not getting any respect. I wonder? Zack Martin was my top OL but third by the scouts. I knew he would be there when the Ravens drafted at #17. Cowboys drafted at #16 on a coin flip tie. I wonder if the Ravens take Martin instead of Mosley? Not complaining though. Other players I wouldn't have minded with that pick. WR Brandin Cooks, WR Kelvin Benjamin, S Ha-Ha Clinton Dix. I thought Timmy Jernigan was a top 20 pick and the Ravens got him at #48. La'el Collins was my top OL last year and the Cowboys got him undrafted. He didn't even play and the Cowboys offense is a juggernaut. I thought Collins was worth a top five pick. Drafting OL was priority #1 IMO and Stanley was a good pick. I wanted the Ravens to draft Jack Conklin and Sua Cravens. Both would have been good picks. I thought Landon Collins was a top 15 pick and the Giants moved up in the second round and picked him at #33. I wanted the Ravens to draft him or a CB. They took Perriman instead. Don't look now but Collins is killing it. Ravens secondary with Collins and Cravens?
  4. Power rankings are garbage. Most don't even have the Ravens as a playoff team which is impossible. Some even have the Steelers ahead after getting blown out. That game wasn't as close as the end score. The Ravens have a better offense and defense than the Vikings and should be ranked ahead. The Lions don't impress me. NFCN the worst division? AFCS? The Texans don't impress me either. I wouldn't be surprised if the Ravens defense held a team like the Vikings to under 100 total yards and something like 10 yards rushing.
  5. Refs are garbage. That wasn't a catch by Jordy Nelson. I also saw Russel Wilson fail to maintain possession on his TD catch against the Eagles. Ask Dez Bryant about that one. The whistle hadn't blown? I was wondering if maybe that was a cheap flag against Zuttah. And I was glad the Ravens scored a TD on the next play after the refs failed to call PI on the play before. And yes, I think it's a different game if Jimmy Smith plays. Chess, not checkers.
  6. Maybe not Gillmore.
  7. Good news. Nick Boyle and Gillmore are playing. What's with Pitta? I get the feeling he won't be on the roster next season.
  8. Jimmy didn't play against the Cowboys. I think that's a different game if he plays. Ravens should be fine without him against the Greenless Bengals. There's players I want healthy in Dec.-Jan. and Jimmy is one of them. Let him get rested this week. Ravens could finish 6-0 in the division and still miss the playoffs? Unlikely but possible. Cowboys are 4-0 against the AFCN. Glad the Dolphins and Eagles are at home. Winnable games.
  9. Ravens defense held Zeke Elliott under 30 yards in the first half and I wanted them to hold him under 60 yards. Offense hung the defense out to dry in the 2nd half.
  10. What's with Steve Smith comment on kickers? The ineptitude of the offense is really becoming annoying. They gave Tucker the franchise tag and then a nice contract. He's practically automatic from the other end of the field which tells me the offense can't seem to cross midfield. All these kickers missing an extra-point and Ravens have the best kicker in the NFL and can't kick an extra-point or FG. I would rather have seen Tucker kick a FG and make it a seven point game instead of watching Flacco throw it out of the back of the end zone against the Cowboys. I would rather see Tucker kick a FG than playing QB. Ravens lost. Believe me when I say this, I even considered Tucker trying a 68 yard FG instead of the Ravens going for it on 4th and 10 against the Giants. Ravens lost!
  11. I told you the Ravens defense was going into the season very under-rated. And they're still not getting enough respect, even after the Cowboys game. What's new?
  12. Conklin and Cravens. I thought Landon Collins was worth a top 15 pick. I was right. I said this season reminds me of 2000, 2012, and 2013 rolled into one. Unfortunately, 2013 seems to be unfolding before my eyes.
  13. Someone said the Ravens reached for Lewis with a fifth round pick. I laughed. Alex Lewis was my favorite late round pick and Judon was a close second. After watching Osemele leave for Oakland, Yanda and Stanley out, now I know why. Ravens OL was the only unit I looked at and started hoping. Should the Ravens have paid Osemele and moved him to LT? I wanted to draft Conklin and put him at LG or RT.
  14. I want to see some of that sub 4.3 40 yard dash speed.
  15. Forsett under-performed last year and the Ravens would prefer to cut him and his contract instead of releasing Taliafero and watching him land on the Steelers roster.
  16. I have faith in Buck Allen and West to still be able to run the ball in week one at home against the Bills. They have key personnel missing from their front seven to start the season. And the Ravens front seven will be giving Tyrod Taylor nightmares.
  17. Steve Smith, Aiken, Wallace, Perriman, Chris Moore, Pitta, Gillmore, Maxx Williams, Kyle Juice, Buck Allen, West, Flacco, Mallett, Stanley, Alex Lewis, Zuttah, Yanda, Wagner, Urshel, Jensen, Hurst. Ravens offense should be fine but expect Flacco to be throwing the ball around. Trestman's offense runs through their SB MVP QB.
  18. To start the season. Dixon will be back in a few weeks. Taliafero is on the PUP list and should be able to return at some point.
  19. Right now it looks like Webb returning punts. Camp is on IR. Ravens have seven DL, Nine LB, and 12 DB. Most likely would have to cut one of those guys to make room on the roster for Hester and I say no can do. Not after cutting Butler. Can Chris Moore or Mike Wallace return Kickoffs? Cut OLB Chris Carter? I don't want to put DT Pierce or Henry on the practice squad. Reynolds should make the PS. Canady or Price to the PS?
  20. He's a big dude. And who else was there ready to fall on the football? Matt Judon. Another group that's going into the season under-rated. Ravens front seven. Keep sleeping on this team.
  21. Ravens still have four RB's. Taliafero was placed on PUP.
  22. Bad news, Ravens cut Butler. Good news, Perriman looked good. Like the 1st round draft pick the Ravens envisioned. He looked quick making his cuts and the hands are there. Just a small sample size but can't wait to see more. He should only get better as the season wears on. I hope Perriman becomes the stud that Aiken and Levine have looked like so far. Don't look now but this group of receivers is going into the season very under-rated. Steve Smith is STILL Steve Smith. Aiken>Torrey Smith and Boldin? Perriman>Torrey Smith and Boldin? Can Joe throw for 5000 yards and 40 TD's? That's All-Pro. I have no doubt he'll have 4500 and 30 TD's. Will Stanley be an All-Pro in his rookie season?
  23. This group of WR's is the best the Ravens ever had. Hands down.
  24. I have to agree. So glad the Chargers didn't draft him.
  25. I said the only way for Stanley to get OROY would be to have an All-Pro season. He's had an All-Pro Pre-season. Undoubtedly the best player taken in this draft. Best LT drafted in 20 years? 1996 Ravens draft Jonathon Ogden. I always wondered what Joe would look like with Ogden protecting his blindside. Ogden retired in June of 2008, right before Joe's rookie season.
