  1. ^ That's it right there, again! Thanks Mili!
  2. I would prefer that the after game headlines read "The Ravens Snatch the Hearts Out of the Cowboys & Patriots on Their Way to the Playoffs". I mean really. If (for me when) we beat these teams why is it 'sneak'? If any of these so-called "Monsters of the Gridiron" narrowly win games against teams we've dominated or should have beaten (without a few things going against us) it's never said that they 'sneaked-out' a victory (Pittsburgh - Giants - Washington) although they clearly have in some cases. There hasn't been a game yet that we haven't been competitive in even going back to 2015. So, if and when we do win games let's stop tip-toeing around it. We simply beat teams when we win (period). Somebody's got to change the narrative. If we don't (fans) then who? GO Ravens!!! p.s. - When we beat the Cheatriots this time let's snatch the heart out, deflate it and feed it to the crows. (smiling right now)
  3. Okay, it's official. Nobody (prediction makers, media outlets, etc.) has us winning this game outside of Ravens Nation. That said, why are we arguing among ourselves about what Ray had to say or anybody outside of Ravens Nation has to say? What have we become - "Real Housewives and Househusbands of the Bandwagon Apocalypse"? The thing is...the more others doubt us - the better we play. I'm loving the doubters out there. It just makes us stronger. Our haters have always been motivators. So stay FOCUSED people! Just a thought.
Translation: Hello to my friends who have been supporting the Cowboys all these years through good and bad decades. Congratulations on this season so far. Our record against the Cowboys is 4-0 and it's very possible that it will be 5-0 after this Sunday. I hope it is a great game. If you want to consider cheering for our team (along with your team of course) from here on out, our Ravens and the fans would welcome you. Good luck (accept for this game) and hope you join Ravens Nation. FlocksGottaFeed just building the nation. Go Ravens!!!
  5. LOL! I saw that, too. Shocked at Math and English.
  6. Re-posted because it's that funny: Shock the World? That's funny. Most of Cowboys Nation don't even know who they're playing week-to-week. For example, this is their official posting on the Cowboys website: "The Ravens enter Sunday’s game as a somewhat streaky teams, having won their first three games to get to 3-0, before losing five straight games. After 42 calendar days without a win, which included the entire month of October, the Ravens finally got back on track with a victory over the Steelers, and then last week against the Browns...." http://www.dallascowboys.com/news/2016/11/15/big-picture-cowboys-looking-make-history-multiple-ways-vs-baltimore Based on that we are currently 5-5. I'll be shocked if they get the math right when we're 6-4 after this one. How bout that Cowboys? GO Ravens!!! We got this.

  8. I don't know about the Vinny-thing (rarely get a chance to tune-in) sometimes I find him pretty agreeable, That said, I'm in complete agreement that time of possession on offense will play an important role in this game. Now, if they take away our ability to have a slow, steady, measured balance attack (loading-up against the run and short-passing, clock management, ST winning field position battle, etc.) then it's good to know that we can adjust on-the-fly to an efficient hurry-up mold. How'bout'dem Cowboys? That's something that Dallas has really never been challenged to much with so far. That could be the difference in the game (advantage Ravens).
  9. Agreed. That's what I was trying to say. It would be cool.
  10. If you read my entry completely you'd know that it didn't include that statement or favoring Troy for 'early access'. It said Ed and Troy should go in the HOF together (period). Apparently, I'm not the only person who feels like that's a possibility. From the Steelers Opinion Column: "After spending their careers playing against each other, it's only fitting that the two best safeties of the past quarter century be enshrined together in the Pro Football Hall of Fame." http://www.behindthesteelcurtain.com/pittsburgh-steelers-opinions-reactions-news-updates/2015/5/11/8584267/hopefully-ed-reed-and-troy-polamalu-enter-the-hall-of-fame-together From the ESPN Opinion Column: "The others might have to wait a year or two if there's carryover from previous years. For example, Ed Reed is on the 2019 ballot, and Troy Polamalu is under consideration in 2020. Safeties have a tough time getting in, but those two will be hard to keep out for long, which leaves open the possibility they snag a spot in 2021." http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/14929677/2021-hall-fame-class-chance-one-best-ever-nfl I simply stated my thought on the subject (not an argument for HOF voters). But if they let me in the room I'd say again: If you don't select Ed Reed in 2019 (there's currently a very low probability with voters) and when 2020/21 comes around - you should induct Ed and Troy together. As long as Reed goes in 1st (Purple in Black All-Day). You feel me?
  11. The Browns have never gone a season were they didn't win at least 2 games. There are 2 other teams who have only won 2 and 3 games currently. If the Browns win 2/3 games before they get to their last game...do you think the Browns will try to win that game? The point is: We just really need to focus on winning the most games (period). The best opportunity is to simply win-out or come closer to it than everybody else in our division.
  12. Agreed I said: He's always been fun and a bit of a court jester around the locker-room and sidelines, but never with other teams until after the game. I love Sizzle, but that's a stunt he'd never pull when Reed, Ray and Pollard were there. (Leaders) Pretty much the same. The only difference is that this isn't showing the leadership that he basically pledged to inherit after vet leaders moved-on. We can have different opinions here without being wrong. I love humor as much as the next guy, but I just didn't find it to be amusing. To each his own. (Hacksaw Smithers) Very sophomoric.
  13. I thought they had full practice reps today.
  14. Question: If you're the Browns and playing your very last game vs Steelers and you're trying to get that 1st, 1st round pick.....do you try to win that game?
  15. Don't get me wrong. I love Sizzle, but that's a stunt he'd never pull when Reed, Ray and Pollard were there. Not without correction. He's always been fun and a bit of a court jester around the locker-room and sidelines, but never with other teams until after the game. Think about it. Why give a rookie QB that kind of focus, acknowledgement when you're about to face the most physical line in the league? How do you expect the rookies on your team to know and feel the urgency of this upcoming game? Rex did the same thing this year with Edelman and Edelman had a better response, "...why don't you ask our coach?" Dak could have said, "Why don't you ask Free, Martin, Frederick, Collins, etc. on Sunday?". That's why the Ravens veteran leadership would never take that lightly from any youngsters. Besides, his end game was to give appreciation to Dak, (not the entire Cowboys Team) for beating Pittsburgh 'for us'. That's weak - since we've been putting in our own work in our division and will continue. Just don't get it, but outside of that Sizzle is still one of my favorite players.
  16. Yanda's return will be huge. He is the Alpha Male in that unit and a beast. I think the entire O-line performance will reflect this Sunday.
  17. Cowboys 1st half rushing yards against Steelers = 42 yards Steelers 9th ranked rushing defense Ravens 1st ranked rushing defense I truly don't think we give up 400+ yds on the team. If they beat us they'll have to do something they haven't done all season. Our offense needs to do something we haven't done consistently this season - execute plays for 4 quarters and we basically win this game.
  18. I've got to be honest. I couldn't get through half-time and I love football. I imagine last year that the 'J.J. Watt' factor mixed with a winning Bengals team made the difference, but what a huge drop. I wonder has there been similar drops in previous years simply based on the absence of a marquee player while facing a team with a losing record? Interesting.
  19. Wasn't feeling this at all. Just not what I'd expect from a veteran leader with a critical game coming-up. Too casual, too immature and just to playful. Had he been a direct friend, college teammate or family member...it's cool, but....really?
  20. Man ole man. Never was a fan, but that speech Romo just gave conceding his role as the franchise QB was absolutely a game changer. That was a Rudy, Remember the Titans, Brian's Song work of art. Truly inspiring. If I'm a teammate, I'll run through a wall for this dude. I'm looking at our coming-up game a little differently now. He just made it a 'statement game' for the Cowboys when it was just supposed be our 'statement game'. Oh well. That said, we still have Jerry Jones' ridiculous statement disrespecting Romo that preceded it. I'm thinking if I'm a Dallas player I'd run through a wall to get away from a owner like that and if I'm a Raven I'd run through a wall to humble an arrogant, disrespectful, unappreciative ego-maniac owner like that. It could go either way. We still have a 'statement game' to play Sunday. GO Ravens!
  21. Good post. I think the offense can put up enough points. We've pretty much out averaged every opponent we've played thus far this year in the offensive box scores. Penalties and turn-overs have primarily been our problem in the 1st half of the season. We've gotten those negative stats down as of late. The Dallas defense will surrender several opportunities for our offense (very marginal secondary and pass rush). We'll get opportunities. We just need to capitalize every chance we get.
  22. See last half from the last game. It wasn't just the Oline playing better - it was the entire offense playing better together. Performance is looked at with a border lens. For example: Look at current Offensive Stats for the Ravens - http://www.nfl.com/teams/baltimoreravens/statistics?team=BAL We lead in nearly every offensive category (total offense, rushing yards, passing yards, time of possession, 1st downs, 3rd down conversions, etc.) against the average of all the teams played thus far. No, we're not a the top of the heap league-wide offensively, but have held court and beyond with everyone on our schedule thus far. That's important. Our Oline (with injuries, position moves, scheme changes and new rule changes, etc.) have still contributed enough to win games and out-perform opponents. If you want to discuss why per play 'gaping holes, etc.' happened (we must take it play by play not in board, undefinable, nonspecific theory) then I'll be more than ok and open to deconstruct each one with you. That would be cool. That's what is up. Alright?
  23. Now, that's the spirit!
  24. It sucks, but does it really change much? As I've said before 9-10 days of preparation can speak volumes. In these situations, every inch counts.
  25. I feel that it's very unlikely that Dallas gets over 400 yards of offense from our defense. Teams currently ranked in the top 10 who we've played like the Raiders, Washington and Steelers total offensive output was less than 60% than their game averages against our defense. I'm truly looking forward to seeing that if this stays consistent - how will the Cowboys respond.
