I believe both.
I mean they made it obvious with who they brought up to the podium.
Just now, Static said:Probably gonna start over Shareece Wright immediately
Wright's no longer with the team.

Well that makes me happy then. Thanks.
Well I hope he can play outside.

It's a sort of 'altruistic way of thinking' however. Even if not coherent I find it more sensed than cheering for the sake of cheering.
In the same measure you'll find comments like mine or some other posters' who didn't like the prospect and haven't liked the pick.
Like BOLDn says, forming your own opinion on prospects by watching tapes and discussing them on platforms like this one is a different level of committment, thus a different experience imo. It can be morally extremely rewarding but also very frustrating.
Absolutely. For me, I like to wait until AFTER the draft until I start reading up more on draft prospects (like I care who the Pack who picked in the 3rd round lol). And that's why I don't say all posters because I've see a number of posters like Sami who are consistent and won't budge.....at all lmao.

being able to know stuff beyond the big names, the big teams and the marquee positions makes me happy
The only thing I give ESPN an edge over NFLN is the TV graphics of the teams' logos. Other from that, I'd rather listen to Mayock over the guys on ESPN. Not to say like he's perfect or whatever, but when it comes to the mid to late rounders, you can see he REALLY does his homework. As a casual fan (pertaining to college ball), I appreciate that a lot.
I mean.....the Saints of all teams. Wow. Can he play defense???

We all do love draft night but we don´t feel like that "pause before the players announcement" it´s thrilling enough if you have no clue of what that name means. We just don´t want those 90 seconds of shallow Mayock´s compliments. We want to be able to understand if in the box we´re unwrapping there´s something we used to dream of, or that we´ll find useful, or that makes 0 sense. We might make our own mistakes, judging what we see but, coming draft day, with no individual opinion on those prospects it only looks like one weird lottery where everybody celebrates without knowing if they won or not. Not Christmas day.
Sorry if I used the plural![]()
Watching every fan in the audience celebrate for whatever pick their team just did it´s weird. It just doesn´t look natural. I´d rather watch the instant reaction of every poster here in the draft section.
I love the reactions lol, The emotions run so high like the Game Day threads. And then a couple of days-week later, you see posters admit they slightly change their opinions after settling down from draft night.

Fortunately, I don't have a Twitter account so I'm good there ![]()

Didn't even see the mock nor did I knew of this before looking at this thread. This is ike taylor letting his inner steelers loose.

"Nobody got into a staring contest with me [laughs]. I do have one story for you though. The Cincinnati [Bengals] coach asked me if I had 37 cents with seven coins, what would I have? I wasn’t able to answer that. I didn’t know."
Lol.....cant even do simple math....took me like 10 seconds to figure it out. 2dimes, 3nickles, 2pennies......some of these questions have reasoning behind it and they dont realize it
Wow. But hey if he's an All-Pro, I could care less about his lack of math.

You have no idea.
It's gonna be glorious.
If I'm a prospect, not only would I not leave my house, but I wouldn't leave my room unless if I had to shower or go to the bathroom. Heck, I'd quarantine my house.
1 hour ago, BOLDnPurPnBlacK said:It makes it more fun and engaging.
And this draft theres easily 15-20 prospects I really like in the 1st round range. Chances are good we get at least one.
Plus it adds to the drama... understanding why it's a shock when a team picks a certain guy.
and you feel good when you nail a prospect that maybe the media wasn't as high on or vice versa when you don't like a prospect that everyone seems high on.
Plus as a coach i love evaluating athletes, team building, projecting skill sets, etc....
Its a lot of fun. And loving certain prospects gives another angle for watching the other Nfl teams play. Tracking the guys you liked to see if they pan out and what not.
Don't you just love draft night? From the moment the Goodell steps up to the podium to hearing the chime is all suspense. Heck, that little pause that Goodell does before announcing the player adds to it. I hated when they show the prospect on the phone with HIS future team before the announcement was made.
Just now, Jonah DeVito said:You don't have any draft crushes?
Nope! I don't watch college football that much and when I do I never pay close attention to potential prospects during the games. I just watch the teams go at it. But I will say this: I truly appreciate reading all the insight from everyone who participates in watching draft film.

Was starting to accept that he probably wont be there.... Now im getting all worked up again.
I really feel sorry for you and the others on this site who have draft crushes/favorites every year. Oh the emotions when your crush/favorite doesn't get selected by us.
LMAOOOOOO we play in Cincy for the season opener! EL OH EL!!!!

Shouldn't that be a good thing lol?

Mosley is best when he's got a primary coverage LB beside him and if there's anything Davis can do it's cover, he's, in my opinion, easily the best coverage LB in the class. We all assumed that Correa will be the replacement for Orr, but has anyone actually affiliated with the team said that that is our intent with him? All I have heard them say is that moving him around so much was a mistake last year, but I don't recall anyone from the FO or coaching staff say he'll be primarily inside next year. Personally I like Correa more at EDGE than inside, he's athletic but putting him inside takes away one of his biggest strengths - his jump off the snap. I think Davis can be plugged in next to Mosley and handle the primary coverage responsibilities from the get go.
Recently I've seen a couple mocks giving us Foster at 16 and that's what's spurred me suddenly pushing Davis. I think Davis fits our defense much better than Foster does. You can always use a guy that sets a physical tone like Foster does, but I think Davis' coverage abilities really make him better for us. Pair with that his athleticism and sure tackling and I think this guy jsut doesn't get the love he deserves - mainly do to his injuries, which are a legitimate concern.
I'd be surprised, but I wouldn't be disappointed if we traded back and grabbed him.
Will Foster even fall to 16? I don't even know if he gets past the Bengals.
A mock draft AFTER the draft? I dig it.
I also found it fitting that Connor Cook got grayed out against Williams.
Go Kin........never mind.
