  1. Patriots fans are talking about how perhaps their team used hot air to inflate the balls prior to being given to the referees for inspection.  According to their math, balls inflated to 13 PSI with 112 degree air would then drop to about 11 PSI at the game time temperature.

Pats fans are literally using that as an excuse to say how they didn't break the rules.

LOLWUT.  This is how low they go.  They think that its acceptable to inflate their balls with hot air in order to hide the fact that their balls are going to be under inflated from the refs.

    Hot air? HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

  2. Yes, he could very likely be one and done.

But as I've said before, if we are exclusively in the business of only hiring coaches that we think will stay for a long time, we very likely aren't hiring the best coach we can get, and our offense will likely suffer from it.

My general rule of thumb is... the coaches that stay with teams for a long time are often the coaches that you DON'T want to stay here for a long time, or your team simply isn't doing very well.

Good point. I'm at the point where I just want to get SOMEBODY (not named Jim Hostler though).

  3. Yeah I agree. I have no problem with hiring hiim.

But there are plenty of viable questions, such as why the likes of Fox or Del Rio didn't take him with them to their new places. A lot of possible reasons for that, but its still worth pondering as part of the interview process.

Ultimately, gut feeling says we probably hire him in the next day or so.

Neither do I. But at the same time, wasn't his name in the mix of the head coaching carousel? What if he becomes our OC and ends up doing well? I would fear it would be another one-and-done OC.

Everything Im reading tells me even thought Gase is young he will be jumping ship for a HC job when he can.

    I fear the same thing.

  4. Just as my friend and I were settling in to catch the TNA debut on Destination America, the fire alarm in the building where we reside went off!  We both went down to the community room on the ground floor, and we waited until the fire department came - turns out there was a fire on the second floor of the building, and we had to wait until the fire was put out, so we missed TNA last week.

Please, someone here let me know what we missed.

It's tomorrow night. Hopefully that's good news lol.

  5. Can't access it, it says you need an account with them to view it.

Here's one that you can view without an account.

Hmm, didn't even realize that.  I have accounts on almost every team's forum -_-

Side Note: What the hell is going on in SF?

Well here's some good ole entertainment for everyone from the folks in 49er land. Let's just say reader discretion is advised.

  6. Rex Ryan would have been better off with a team like the Bears or Falcons. With built offense in place and he could build his defense ( even with the Jets the year after they lost Revis they overachieved as a defense because of his scheming. ).

With the Bills he has strong defense again. Excellent front 4 ( returning kiko Alonso ), RB talent ( but injured too much between Jackson and Spiller ). Young WR talent. At QB do they keep

    Orton for now.

    Orton said he's retiring though....

  7. Here are the details........

    - Will Be Open by 2020

    - Cost $900M, half to be publicly funded, the other half coming from the NFL and Kroneke

    - Will hold a max of 64,000 people, 2,000 less than the Edward Jones Dome which holds 66,000 people. Keep in mind, Stan Kroneke wants to build a stadium that holds 80,000 people in LA.

    - Will be Open Air Stadium, not a dome

    - Gov Jay Jix has said he would want the Rams decision by Jan 28th

    - Site preparation would begin in June

You know, I think Stan is hell bent on moving the team to LA. Regardless of this proposal, I believe if anything Mark Davis should be looking at this proposal and think about moving the Raiders to St. Louis.

    Oh please no.

  8. Melvin is doing enough. He hasn't really had a full offseason or any thing of that nature. Signed and thrown into the game.

I hope (as everyone would agree) he becomes the next Jimmy Smith without the injury history. I know Pees would be giddy to have a healthy Jimmy and an improved Melvin.

  9. Yeah I'd certainly like to keep him here. I have to also confirm that he's done a great job with our secondary. At first I was shaky on him as a DB coach early in the year. I note think he's doing great things here, allowing our patchwork secondary to actually compete. I think the progression of Elam as a nickel is very much reflective of his coaching, same goes for Levine.

Agreed! Could you imagine if Pees had not one, but TWO lockdown corners to work with? He'd be grinning from ear to ear.

I must admit, I've become a bigger Pees fan than ever before. I actually hope he stays too.
