  1. Waller is a beast on ST... that's probably why he got the nod...
  2. Welcome back JB!!!
  3. I was hoping for the Ravens to draft Diggs... he would have solved 3 problems in one pick.. He can play the slot... he can be a return guy... and as you can see he takes the top off of defenses...should have picked him up.. but happy for the guy... I have a feeling they were hoping Camp was going to be that guy this year..but he can't stay healthy..outside of not drafting Diggs I really like our draft... Davis, Boyle, Lil Buck, Z Smith, Waller... Mad Maxx
  4. I am sorry but.. this unit has to prove itself... they gave up 500 yds to the Browns... then Kap gave them 300 thru the air... and Carson is a much better QB than both of them... so I have this feeling that he's gonna have a career night come Monday... smh
  5. Brown is on the field a lot because he's the best run-blocking WR outside of Steve... I luv Marlon... but he's making it harder to defend him when he is not showing up other than on running plays... he's always getting praises for his run blocking by the commentators at least once a game.. and Steve points it out when he throws a block so he can have run after the catch for a big gain.. I do agree that Crockett should be more involved in the game plan... I think he's shown that he can attack the seams on the field...
  6. @Spitfire418... I agree that he's missed assignments... but its more of scheme than it is on Kendrick... there is no reason why your FS should be on AJ Green... Jimmy should have been shadowing AJ.. that's the reason he got an extension... his play has been very up and down which is to be expected when you come off a season ending injury the year before.. and I expect him to play much better... Along with the rest of the secondary... I really think there should be a change in defensive philosophy... The Pat's have a bunch of no names in their secondary but yet they are 5-0... the difference is they never ask you to do something you aren't good at... they picked up Melvin right??? Let's see the difference in his play...
  7. @Spitfire418... Kendrick isn't terrible... He's made plays this season and is very good near the line of scrimmage... And isn't horrible in coverage.. its more of the scheme.. The secondary as a whole has looked suspect... Webb is the only member of the secondary that has played well the entire season... I think he'll play better as the secondary meshes together...
  8. LOL... some of you fans on are soooo funny... how can you be calling for Harbs job after one bad season??? Look its the law of averages... you can't be on top forever... should we be playing better yes... I promised I wasn't going to make any more comments until next season.. but I couldn't help myself with fair weather fans just turning on the team...LOL its laughable to be quite honest... The only person I feel sorry for is SSS... I was hoping that the team would send that great player out on top... he is on pace to beat last year's numbers... there are a lot of things to be changed.. the offense needs to stop being predictable.. we need to check out of runs when the defense shows blitz... or at least change formation to throw the defense off.. the defense was getting off the field on 3rd downs and kept Kap from rushing much but had some really bad defensive play calling... gave Hyde way to much respect that's why were getting killed on play action... no way a FB should have 89 receiving yards... and offense needs to get more aggressive use the TE's more... we have 3 solid TE's why not use them??? (especially in the red zone) And for the life of me I don't understand why the wait to get aggressive in the second half when you are behind? why not have the mind set through out...
  9. Harbs has produced... a down season hits every franchise at some point... every coach has had a sub-par season no one is immune to it... does Pees have to go... yes... his defense has gotten progressively worst thru the years... we aren't that good this year... too many injuries not enough depth...
  10. Really solid pick up... has played lights out ever since he's arrived...
  11. Life isn't fair... and is filled with adversity... You have two choices... You can rise to the occasion...or you can fold under the pressure... There is greatness in all of us... now its time for him to tap into it and play to his abilities... he's come too far to give up now!!!
  12. Well the WR's don't get all the blame for this in my opinion... The play calling has been geared more to getting SSS the football... Joe has a tendency to lock in on a particular WR thru the course of a game... 3 of his 5 picks we thrown in SSS direction... he's also under thrown some guys...missed some guys...and then his ball location has been off at times... in my opinion he should place passes a little higher on throws to Waller in the Red zone... let him use his size to win in those situation.. Chargers do it.. Furia was highly used in Detroit.. and of course there is Gronk and Jimmy... we have big bodies as well not sure why its a fade to SSS in the corner...luv him to death but we should change it up from time to time...
  13. Its gonna be rough.. but they will adjust... just like they did Thursday... these guys are pros... Trestman will earn his keep this week with his game plan... cause the Browns will put 8 in the box to stop the run.. that's the biggest thing... got to get creative.. will be interesting to see how they adjust... the Bills had a similar situation this weekend... fortunately for us the Browns have their own woes... if we can stop their run game we too have a chance..
  14. Melvin showed signs of rust... he hadn't played in a month... remember the same thing happened to Webbie last year as he was getting torched is first few games back... but regained form towards the end of the season... its only natural... remember he played well in the preseason before he got hurt...
  15. @JoeyFlex5... thank you sir... for breaking that down for everyone else... I am happy that I am not the only one who realized that was a great call by the Defensive coordinator... The corner was never covering Marlon just made it appeared that he was... he was covering the quick out which is a chain mover and one of the tendencies of the Ravens in that particular down and distance... great call...
  16. The corners job wasn't to cover Marlon that play... it was great call by the Defensive coordinator.. the play was designed for Marlon to take the corner and safety deep opening up the underneath route for SSS... if he had waited one second he would have seen that Marlon was left wide open.. it was a great play designed by the Steelers... I understood what Flacco believed he saw... that would have been a big play if he had gotten to SSS... single high with a LB on SSS... I like that match up any given day of the week...
  17. Would like to give a shout out to the newest member of the secondary... Will Davis... played extremely well last night... played tight coverage... almost had a pick... and did a solid job on covering Brown in the slot... heck of a game young man... keep grinding...
  18. Oh yeah b4 I forget... big big shout out goes to the newest member of the secondary... Will Davis... who played his tail off... played tight coverage...and made plays on the ball with two key pass break ups on 3rd down... keep grinding...
  19. B4 I forget... A big shout out to the newest member of the secondary... Will Davis... he competed his tail off out there... was in good position and made plays...had two pass break ups... keep up the good work...
  20. @Run Pass Pass Punt... please do look up his stat line for his two season with the Seahawks and let me know if he really was a big factor in the outcome of their seasons...
  21. @Run Pass Pass Punt... the SB was the only game Percy played in during that playoff stretch remember he was out with a bag of injuries that year and wasn't much of a factor that season... and he wasn't on the team last year when the made it to the big dance... so to say he was key is laughable... he did he have big plays??? Yes he did... but at the end of the day they won games without him... if he was that important they would have kept him...
  22. Though the line gave up 5 sacks... It was one of their best showings... they picked up the blitz extremely well and for the most part created highways for the backs to run through.. we just gotta figure out how to stop shooting ourselves in the foot and we will be alright... to many times we turn the ball over and give the opposing team life... before the pick we were doing whatever we wanted... we were already in Steeler territory when it happened.. with momentum on our side... that game should have been a wire to wire win... the play calling was suspect at times.. but it is what it is... would like to see some more screen plays.. bootlegs.. something to keep defenses from the constant blitzing...
  23. I am so tired about reading about stretching the field... Yes it helps to have speed... but its not life or death... Seattle won their super bowl without a speed demon... so did the Patriots... its all about scheme.. if you have receivers who can excel with run after the catch you can do just as well... plus that's not the reason we are 1-3... so stop begging for a trade... you have players who can make them.. Kamar has had to solid games so far that have been overlooked... plus Crockett has been a steady force and will only get better... we can with the pieces that we have... Like I have said many times before... plays are not designed to get Marlon open.. but there are a lot of times that he's gotten open and the ball isn't thrown his way... so you assume that because the ball wasn't thrown his way he wasn't open... then when the ball is thrown his way.. lots of times its thrown behind him... Flacco hasn't been on target this year by n.e means... that is a result of teams bringing the heat and he has to get rid of the ball... prime example last season... there was a four game stretch that Marlon caught every pass thrown in his direction... he was set to have a big game against the Chargers before he got knocked out the game with a concussion... The Rocket is on record saying that he's surprised that Marlon hasn't gotten more targets... lots of times he's the blocking WR or he's the decoy... he does a lot of the dirty work... if you pay attention when he's on the same side with SSS he runs the clear out route that allows smith to run underneath and not be doubled... that's why SSS makes it a point to shout them out in his interviews... unless you have inside knowledge on n.e. thing.. or until the coaches call him out in the media...just let it be... if the front office was as concerned as everyone else is they would find a way to make a trade... trust and believe that... and once again the WR aren't the reason why we lost games... so just drop it... see it for what it is... the defense finally proved that they can make stops when it counts... so hats off to them...
  24. If Marlon is as bad as you guys think he is... why was it Kamar's snaps affected to let Camp get on the field... I watched the CSN Raven post game show... and they were begging for Trestman to find a way to get Marlon involved... no one is talking about how he beat Pacman off the line on the final play but Flacco decided to throw it to Maxx over the middle... I am not ready to cast judgement on this young man until he's given plays in the game plan..
  25. You guys need to realize that Marlon runs routes that are designed to get others open... he's usually not the main option on plays... the only drop he's had was last week's game.. the second play of the game was designed for him...but a big hit knocked the ball loose... Marlon's routes are designed to keep Smith from getting doubled... If you know anything about route combination... you will understand... also... he's one of the best run blocking WR on the team... his blocking is what allow SSS to hit the sideline for his touch down last week... he played more snaps than Kamar this game... production isn't only measured receiving yards... someone has to do the dirty work... and he still plays special teams covering punts and kick offs... true team player!!!
