  1. For the doubters.. JB had a career day against Seattle.. and he caught a pass on Sherman then gave him a mean stiff arm and broke it off for a first down... yes he's still raw but he's shown an ability to make plays and fight for yards after the catch... Aiken and Butler are like Boldin in that regard and since Aiken became the No.1 by default.. don't you think that teams game plan for him??? You think Andy Reid will go out of his way to encourage a player on another team without meaning it??? Especially when said player is going to be a free agent and a potential nice complimentary player to what he has on his roster... Wake up fans... whether he beat someone out or it was by default... he has been producing and for once he was developed here... so give the guy credit for doing what he can... the Ravens offense could have nosed dived but we are just outside top ten... and have given ourselves a chance to win... but we have shot ourselves in the foot with turnovers and penalties... so I am very optimistic for next season.. Go Ravens!!!
  2. Its no question that Kamar is a solid WR... when given the opportunity he has made the most of it.. 800 yds and counting his first time as a full time starter... Last year he showed potential...this year he showed passion and determination to prove doubters wrong... if he stays hungry and humble he can be something special... no need to put a label and try to figure out is he a legit number one... the guy makes plays... the next step is to dominate a game like SSS does.. I think he can be that guy... he is a big bodied WR that has just enough speed to make plays deep.. he's finally getting a bit more aggressive and is attacking the ball... rarely lets the ball come to him when defenders are around... I am a little disappointed with Chris he's better than he has been playing... he has suffered from a case of the dropsies...dating back to the Rams game... since then he's dropped some catch-able balls some with each of them resulting in drive killers..if you don't win on first down... it makes it that much difficult to convert the series... I am in favor of giving JB the nod going forward as the starter... I would figure he would be a chopping at the bit to prove himself after being benched in the St. Louis...
  3. We will see how true he is to his word... he said he wants to return to the team that gave him a legitimate shot to make the team... and not only did he make the team but he's come on strong this season and prove that he should be in the game plan moving forward regardless of who is here... we need not get caught up in the fact that he was un-drafted and look at his current body of work.. its no secret who is getting the lion share of the targets and yet week after week he has been steady... no disclaimers needed... no yet but to attach to the end of any comment.. if he can steadily improve as he has and carry over his momentum into next season.. he can be a nice building piece moving forward... Also in the conversation of players as building blocks moving forward JB should also be in that conversation... in fact I think he should take over for Givens... I like the guy... but he struggles on the outside... I like him more at attacking the seams... with Flacco out and Jimmy and Matt whose arms can't even come close....he isn't as effective... he drops way to many passes... JB appears to have better hands... and is a load to bring down... he usually has to be gang tackled... If Perriman is what they think he can be... Kamar can win one on one... Crock and the other TE's ...Forsett and the RB's... along with Juice... we should be straight with playmakers... if there is a dynamic under the radar wideout in the later rounds of the Antonio Brown variety we jump on him wideout is the least of our concerns... with a banged up offense we still put up nearly 400 yds...
  4. Kendrick Lewis got beat on one play..and it was just a great pass.. Kendrick was in position to make a play on the ball.. but of course like our season has been going his fingers tips just missed the pass... and to their credit the Defense actually played well.. only gave up 177 yds passing... and the pick-six wasn't Jimmy's fault... he had no idea that Brown was going to fall down.. it was a quick slant and the pass had to come out his hands quickly before the window closed in the zone...
  5. Much luv to Kamar on his first 100 yd receiving game... he has been one of the few consistently good after Smithy went down... hopefully he can take this into next season... also shout out to JB... who also played tough... really like his game... think he should get more snaps than Givens... he's slowly been a disappointment way to many drops...
  6. This guy has an up hill battle... he has 3 more games to prove that he produce... Plus you have Waller who is a bit more athletic than he is... Camp who shown he can make plays... then Perriman who will get every opportunity to prove himself because he's the first rounder... then there is the outside chance that SSS comes back (I doubt he will but fingers crossed)... I do believe Marlon won't be here next season (he really didn't take advantage of his opportunity this season at all) then there is JB who has quietly been improving from week to week... and not to mention if they draft another WR in next year's draft...
  7. Lets not get all crazy here... Yes Daniel Brown has been balling the last few games... there isn't much film on him and I doubt he's game planned for by opposing defenses... so to say he's better than Kamar is asinine... I like the guy.. he shows a knack for getting open at the point the ball is in the air... he's shown to have strong hands and catch what he's supposed to... but Kamar has been on fire since Steve got hurt...
  8. Its actually not a foreign idea to swap receivers on crossing routes... the problem with that is it takes trust.. the problem is that they aren't accustomed to playing with each other... but I have seen secondaries swap receivers... the nickle takes any route breaking on the inside and the corner takes the out breaking route..but double moves kill that philosophy... prime example of this would be Juice big catch earlier in the season where he was the inside receiver breaking to the outside on what they thought was a drag route but it turned out to be a wheel route and he broke up the sideline for a huge gain...
  9. I like the time JB is getting on the field... I just hope he keeps grinding the next three weeks... I like how he attacks the defenders... runs physical... using every bit of his 6"2 220lb frame...
  10. Guess that means Schaub won't start another game for the Ravens... he's been pressing to much... trying to force passes that he should just swallow... sometimes a throw away is the best play you can make...
  11. I like Raheem... very shifty... and great vision in the open field... he's always one missed tackle away from a big play... but I guess they want a running back who can tout the rock... and not just be a receiving back... hopefully he will be on the practice squad...
  12. I know that he didn't get both feet down... but that was a sick one-handed grab J. Butler made on the sideline... I like what I am seeing from this young guy as a possession WR.. D Brown appears to be a little hungrier than Marlon... he running the same routes that Marlon has been but D. Brown seems to be making the most of it... And Jimmy was actually the best corner we had today... Webbie... Arrington... and Wright were actually getting cooked this game...Jimmy got beat underneath... not over the top like the others did today...
  13. The defense looked defeated... they weren't fighting through blocks and had way to many miss tackles... the Seahawks were on-schedule for most of the game... and ran the same third down play to Baldwin like four or five times.. but its hard to defend third and four... third and two all game... corners gave their wideouts way to much respect... Lockette is the only one with break away speed... smh
  14. Silver lining... Kamar balled out today... I think they should let Jimmy finish out the season he's more mobile than Schaub is at this point of his career...
  15. S.m.h go Ravens...at least Cincy or the Steelers will lose today... :-) Refs again missing calls... beautiful route adjustment by Kamar...q
  16. As bad as things have been... I must say I am very optimistic... just think... we put up 400 yds of offense with third and forth stringers... N.E. going through the same thing and yet they are struggling at home against Philly as we speak... so no matter what I am proud of my squad... Go Ravens
  17. I know we mentioned building chemistry on the offense side of the ball but creating turnovers and protecting the ball should have been one of the five things... Ravens are minus 12 in that department...
  18. Come on guys!!!
  19. Eugene is safe for one more season...its cheaper to keep him...
  20. Its a numbers game... the Dolphins are favored because they are the home team playing a team who was on the road on Monday night and has a quick turn around... the numbers are in their favor.. plus the Ravens haven't been dominant at all this season so why should any have faith in the team... There are some fans who don't believe in the current roster... I am not one of them... I honestly believe if the defense can eliminate the big plays... and get off the field on third down... Eliminate the penalties and turnovers... we can move the ball efficiently enough that we can win... Penalties and turnovers kill momentum.. We had Arizona on the ropes had it not been for Ross's fumble... I like our TE's ability to make plays... really feel they should get more targets... we have run the ball effectively lately and if the line can get healthy again...I don't see that changing... lets go down there and pull out a win... Go Ravens!!!
  21. @billiejean... minus the two picks (not downplaying the picks at all) he was very solid considering he hadn't played a meaningful game in two years... and if he performs well enough down the stretch... there will be teams bidding for his services... that's just the natural order of things in the NFL... plus we probably won't be able to afford him next season..
  22. Really like Marlon... he's a stand up guy... but if Butler is coming on and Kamar looking like he's going to be the no. 2 going forward... Camp working the slot.. Waller coming back and had started taking snaps from Marlon... Perriman returning from injury... makes that room crowded... not to mention the possible (but doubtful) return of SSS.. smh... crowded room indeed...
  23. I think the anticipate Schaub playing himself back into a starting role pricing himself out of Baltimore... Mallet is more in the mold of Flacco in terms of arm strength... doubt they are planning on benching Schaub he actually gives us the best chance of winning going forward as he has the best chemistry with the WRs
  24. Jensen actually didn't push him down... the DT actually shed his block as he was driving forward which cause Urschel to lose his balance... it looks like it was suppose to be a double team with Jensen releasing to he attack the second level..
  25. @TonyQuintino...they are trying things out to see what they have in terms of players... trying new packages isn't far fetched.. Coverage has never been his strong suit.. but to be fair cover LB's aren't exactly a dime a dozen and you would be lucky to have one on each team in the league... Orr isn't terrible in coverage.. Mosley for athletic as he struggles in that area.. that would be one area he can improve in the off season..
