  1. I-formation worked well, Coaches are in question with game calls.
  2. Again! Got to ask what are the coaches thinking?
  3. "NFL training camps begin at the end of July, and Manziel is still unsigned after being released by the Cleveland Browns in March." Manziel still has a lot of football in him. He creates positive yardage passing and running the football whenever he is on the field. Ravens could use Manziel's talents in the slot position as a receiver that can throw the football. Not just for gimmick plays, but to make the Ravens offense more prolific and less risk to Joe (running for first downs). Manziel under Ravens coaching staff, could amplify this offense. Get over the knee-jerk reaction of this proposal and think about the advantages of this versatile player. Some team will sign him for a song, why not the Ravens?
  4. Manziel would have won this game, hands down. It was not Joe's day, for the second week in a row. Ugly. Joe at least you can read - get two blockers for you int he backfield or hang it up.
  5. Game 5: 4-1; tough loss at home. Ravens looked JV in the coaching box and on the field. Maybe next game? Anything can happen in the NFL. Giants might roll Ravens if the Ravens make the same choice not to run out of the I-formation and not to have two blocking backs in the backfield. My fingers are running out of patience with Ravens blocking schemes. Go Ravens, next year.
  6. It was an unnecessary close game. Ravens will learn from this game. Their season is over for 2016. Harbs got cute with the fake field goal. The fans deserve better coaching. The players must learn to block. Why won't the Ravens place two backs in the backfield to block for Joe? Who knows, who cares, the Ravens business is failing. Glad I didn't renew my tickets. In the end it is all about entertainment. The fans got a thrill today, but the season is sadly over, because the Ravens OC and DC are second Tier. Best wishes to those diehard fans. This was another "Cleveland" gut check game, and the Raven came up short. Q - no matter what you say, the bottom line is "Next Year, Tier One". Go Ravens. Go Orioles. Being average is better than being below average, I guess?

  8. Like the "TCB" letters say on Elvis' plane, it is time for the Ravens to "Take Care of Business". Send the Washington players home on the bus with a crab cake to wipe off their frowns.
  9. Is it time for the Ravens to try the Shotgun, Max Protect (FB and HB on both sides of Joe)? Even running out of the I-formation places the backs in position to help protect the quarterback. Secure the win without injury to Joe.
  10. Unsupported preposition.
  11. Congratulations to Navy! They beat number 6 ranked Houston at home. Navy players and fans stood during the National Anthem - salutes!
  12. Ravens win on Sunday, no problem. A complete game on both sides of the ball is projected. Take a breath, good things will happen on Sunday in Baltimore.
  13. Totally agree, Cillmatic. The Ravens can not look beyond this game. They will listen to Harbs and play "A" team football.
  14. Focus on the Ravens.
  15. Spot on Inqui! Bravo!
  16. Oh yes it is; make no mistake about it. This is the turning point for the Ravens. Do they want to open up the offense or do they want to risk the season to a below average opponent. A loss tomorrow is a tattoo on the Ravens they don't want on their heads (or in their heads). Q and Sandusky and Harbs all know this game is big, no doubt about it.
  17. Keep it simple for Joe and the receivers, better results. Let the talent make the plays by getting the football to them quickly and often.
  18. The Raiders win if they take the crowd out early by forcing turnovers. The Ravens win if they connect deep and punch holes in the Raiders’ defensive line with quick run bursts. Ravens will test the Raider's rookie offensive right tackle early, but hopefully not at the expense of failing to cover screens and quick slants. Both teams have long ball kickers; expect at least six combined field goals. Joe and company must control the football for sustained drives. 3's are better than 0's, but not half as good as 7's. Will the Ravens rock those Raiders or get rolled at home?
  19. Ravens rock this weekend against Washington, Expect every Raven player and coach to bring their A game. Ravens score frequently to regain their swagger.
  20. It is either D or pidy.
  21. Well said.
  22. A win is indeed a win, but this loss is more than a loss, it is that sinking feeling that comes with your season being over. Vacant seats appear in the background of glazed-eyed players thinking about "next year". This game is not about rivalry as much as vital survival.
  23. This week's game is too big for the OC to fool around, Harbs needs to take control of the stick and get this bird flying to capacity. Playing average will not cut it against hungry teams. We saw that movie last week.
  24. Harbs needs to start calling the offensive plays.
  25. 1. Millennials defined as those ages 18-34 in 2015, now number 75.4 million, surpassing the 74.9 million Baby Boomers (ages 51-69) is the generation most reflective of younger football players such as Johnathan Paul Manziel. Millennials are the new fan base and ticket holders, Miss marketing to Millennials and football dies. 2. Joe Flacco is moving to the end of his career as other great quarterbacks like Benjamin Todd Roethlisberger Sr. Ravens need a younger quarterback in the wings. 3. Manziel is a playmaker that finds a way to win. He brings a spark to the backfield that is needed for the Ravens. Third and fourth downs options are limitless with Manziel at quarterback. 4. The new NFL quarterback must be able to pass and run. Merely sitting in a pocket is not enough; defenses are too quick, never enough blocking. 5. Price - Manziel is a diamond in the rough: train him, don't blame him. The right GM and HC will pick him up for a dime and make him shine. The Ravens have the solid player management framework for Manziel to excel.
