  1. The O-line strategy: Double-team and Triple-team block (use center or back or motion end) to protect the passer and develop holes for runs. Go old school and pull the guards for student body left and right runs. If Ravens' running backs can get past the Jets' D-line, it will be a big day for the offense. The D-line strategy: Touch Geno every play. Like Payton, he rushes his passes if you can tag him. DEs must contain outside with Geno in the backfield. The Think strategy: Play clean football; hold on to your own jersey and block. Keep your head in the game and your lips sealed. Take what is earned for the scoreboard. The Ravens are real; bring home the win in style!
  2. The Ravens' pass strategy with Mallet at quarterback is quick release 7-10 yard passes, and load up on the 20+ yard passes to the wide-outs. Mallet can deliver the ball on the mark. The Ravens' run strategy is north-south running. Expect nice holes for quick toe touching run bursts. The Ravens are all over this game on offense and on defense. The DBs will pluck Geno's passes out of the air, while the rush tags Geno in the backfield. The Ravens to impose their will, finally!
  3. Spot on Frozen Joe Flacco Fan! I was at that game and will never forget those four goal line pass plays. SF has never been the same since.
  4. Good news: Ravens fly high in NJ this weekend. The Ravens are guaranteed to SHOW-UP like Reese's Peanut Butter Cups in a kid's Halloween bag! The Ravens are playing this game because they WANT to play this game and they WILL enjoy it!
  5. Wallace: go talk to Perriman and challenge him to 120 yard game this weekend. Then talk to Joe about double slotting you and Perriman on the right-side for post and flag routes, respectfully. Tell Joe to throw to your left ear; he is sharper when you give him an exact spot. Execute this play ALL day; the Jets cannot stop FLASH and SPEED on the same side. Get the football; cross the line!
  6. The reason why the Ravens beat the Jets this weekend comes down to ONE factor: the Ravens are NOW more comfortable playing in NJ than the Jets are at home! Forget about blocking, passing, running, tackling, and COACHING for this week. Go out and do the "possible" on offense and defense. The coaches can stand back and let the players excel on the field. This week's strategy is summed up in one word: FUN. Regroup after the bye week with a little bravado.
  7. You are on target!
  8. Well stated.
  9. Minor tweaks in coaching strategy and Ravens win the NYG game. Unfortunately, playing .500 football doesn't make the playoffs in the AFC. Keep two tight-ends in for blocking and two backs in the I-formation for run and pass plays against the Jets. Get the ball, crossing the line!
  10. Game 6: 5-1; mental loss. Ravens hardly ever get out coached, but for the past two games they out coached themselves with high risk decisions that didn't fall their way. Sound fundamental coaching and play execution will return the Ravens to winning ways next week. The key is to react forward, not backward. The Ravens lost two games they were supposed to lose, but the Redskin loss was unexpected. The coaches must reload for the Jets and design a completely new game plan.
  11. Wallace: nice game. You moved the football and got the Ravens in position to score points. Bravo!
  12. Last week Harbs said he would not apologize for going for a field goal. Will he say the same thing this week? Though most fans if given the opportunity would have likely made the same choices as Harbs, he is not a fan, rather a paid thinker and decision maker. One week is okay to take a risk, especially at home, but when the game is on the line and you’re playing away, this decision is an automatic: kick the field goal, take the points. A management discussion is required. The Ravens have one of the best field goal kickers in the league. Tucker could have changed the outcome of two games in a row. A complete rethink of when to take three points is needed or else expect the same results.
  13. In the Raven's huddle today, heads leaning forward by the players, they will hear their favorite music from Joe: "Wallace deep on the post!" Ravens will rock and roll to receivers down the field. Shades of deep purple and black will rain down on the tiny Giants. GET THE BALL, CROSS THE LINE!
  14. It means passing results in points, running results in football possession. However, without the proper backfield blocking for Joe, all bets are off. The Ravens are man for man better than the Giants. The question remains with the OC, will he craft predictable play sets or keep the Giants' defense off guard? My guess is the Ravens go full bore and pound the tiny Giants.
  15. The Ravens’ strategy to win is captured in two basic numbers: 38 or more passes and 22 or more rushes. Expect to see four or more field goals as part of the Ravens' strategy to score at every possible opportunity. Special teams’ strategy is to keep momentum with Ravens the entire game. This game raises a playoff question that the Ravens are willing to answer.
  16. Ravens have to score any creative way they can, to win.
  17. The Ravens' offensive strategy must be to get the football in the hottest hands as often as possible, whether a running back or receiver. Echoes of "Give the Ball to Jamal" are no different today than yesterday. Look around the league and you will see wise play calling to the "Hot Hand". This strategy is true in basketball as well in other sports. Too bad the Orioles forgot this strategy in the playoffs, by not putting the baseball in hands of Zach Britton.
  18. Joe can put the football in a mailbox from 60+ yards; backfield blocking and snappy patterns will result in consistent completions down field. Find a way to give Joe just 1.5 more seconds in the pocket and the sun shines on the Ravens.
  19. A win against NYG can change the Ravens’ prognosis from “Root Canal” to “Filling”. Some cavities you can't tell until you've cleaned out all the decay as to whether a root canal might be needed or not. Sometimes the dentist can't tell until the tooth has been given a little time to respond. It's very normal for them to mention that, and it's just part of the process.
  20. Wallace is averaging 4 points a game. Find a way to get the football to him. Double slot Wallace and another speed receiver and execute the X and Go. Joe will need two blockers in the backfield to allow time to target 25+ yard routes.
  21. You're right; I expected too much from the coaching staff.
  22. Its Mallett time! YES!!!!!!!!! Joe Flacco is a way better quarterback than Ryan mallet. Joe Flacco is not the problem it's the play calling and the offensive line being hurt. Flacco will continue to be the Ravens guy for years to come. Block for him, different outcomes. Keep two backs in the backfield, different outcomes. Run out of the I with a lead blocker, different outcomes. It is a simple game; OC must figure this out soon, or same outcome.
  23. Learn to punt out of bounds, please. It is the nicest way to say it.
  24. Not their fault; wrong defensive sets. When will the DC learn?
