  1. 1. Offensive line: four point stance for better balance and power against thrashing Steelers' rush. 2. QB takes 50% snaps from behind center (versus shotgun) to allow more options (run, pass, play action). 3. Two tight end formations, release one for pass plays, otherwise utilize two TE blocking scheme. 4. Execute a reverse on a kickoff, a punt return, or an offensive snap - stay unpredictable on offense. 5. Defense must pop the receiver or runner at the point of football - the Steelers fumble if they get hit at or near the football. Bonus: Ravens’ coaches must make decisions at the NFL level, not college: no pondering points!
  2. No, just thoughts for the day. Tough to wait a week for Ravens football!
  3. Only two low "ranking" teams left on the schedule. The fun begins against the Steelers.
  4. Straight forward power running and mid-to-long range passing attack against a set of weak Pittsburgh DBs could be the right ingredients for a Ravens’ upset victory. Expect Ravens to make several roster changes to energize their stagnant offense. The great thing about a Ravens-Steelers matchup is there will be hitting, fumbles, interceptions, hard-nosed running, piercing passing, TDs, field goals, all with intense focus and unreserved velocity of play, that players and fans enjoy most from fierce competition. The Ravens will bring their "A-game” but two questions remain: Will the Ravens bring “The House” and will they “Play through the Last Second of Sixty Minutes” for the home crowd? This game is winnable, especially in Baltimore!
  5. Of course not boxing gloves, but something like boxing gloves or tape all the fingers together? Anything that will help prevent mindless holding penalties would aid the offensive line right now.
  6. Run strategy: run the football with back in motion (half count before snap) and while Quarterback is under center. Running backs hit the holes faster when the QB not in shotgun position six yards deep in the backfield. Put boxing like mittens on the offensive line so there is NO possible way for them to grab a defensive player - cannot afford mindless penalties the second half of this season. Put a second return man back with Hester for that one block that he needs to spring him. Defensive strategy: three man rush with alternating blitzes from DBs and LBs. Ravens are going to see a lot of passing against their defense. Ravens are facing a majority of tier-one teams and must have a strategy that is unpredictable and striking. If you recover the football; sit down, no further action required. The team strategy for this second half of the season is for the Ravens to out hustle their opponents in all aspects of the game. Lastly, Coaching strategy: Make Baltimore Better with Better Decisions!
  7. All WINS are BIG from here on out. One at a time the Ravens must march forward - do the things the Ravens do best: hit, get the football, and change the numbers upwardly on the scoreboard.
  8. Wallace: have Mallett hit you on the down and outs and then execute the down, out, and up. Have Perriman line up in wide out position and execute the post pattern to keep the safety in the center of the field. You will light up the turf by attacking the balls thrown by Mallett. Mallett has a faster pace in and out of the huddle than Joe, faster delivery, and gets into the flow of the game in uptick fashion. When Mallett is in the game, you and the rest of the receivers will benefit. The Ravens team members and fans know your capabilities; keep demonstrating them!
  9. Ryan Mallett was drafted by the New England Patriots in 2011, they know something about the importance of quarterback chemistry on the entire team's motivation. It is time to change the chemistry of this team. Mallett brings a different wrinkle to the offense and may be just the spark to ignite the offense. Mallett is strong armed and healthy. Ravens must give Mallett a shot or suffer the consequences of ineptitude. Ravens' chemistry is dependent on leadership. They are desperate for leadership. Do not allow another week to pass without Mallett leading this team forward. It is not about Joe's injury; it is about chemistry - a change is required. Mallett will help the Ravens regain their signature.
  10. Ravens need a little fire in their bellIes - run the no-huddle offense the entire game.
  11. Trade with Cleveland for Jonny Manziel and a draft pick.
  12. Wallace: Very nice game - you nailed it with 10 catches and 120 yards! Ravens will go to the drawing board and find more ways to deliver the football to FLASH in stride. Your leadership is providing illumination for the offense. Keep up the great work! For what it is worth - you were mugged in the end zone - what game were the referees watching? (humor intended) Ravens will ramp-up for second half of season and you will be a major part of the success.
  13. Game 7: 5-2. The Ravens had a few bright spots against the Jets, but came up short on the scoreboard. The Ravens resemble last year's team, albeit less imaginative. More painful than the four losses is the loss of Ravens' signature on both sides of the football. Rebuilding years are indeed painful on players, coaches and fans.
  14. Mallett can do the job, period. Ravens management will field the best players available, no concerns. If Joe is a go, great. If not, the Ravens adjust, accordingly.
  15. I like Joe in the long run. The second half of the season is varsity time. Give Joe a proper breather and give Mallet some real time and we go competitive with two quarterbacks when it really counts.
  16. Good point, you have the ball then it comes down to two things: the coach calling the right play and the offense executing accordingly. Ravens must sync on both ends to beat the Jets.
  17. Mallett if called upon will do the job; Ravens would be smart to start him and give Joe proper recovery time.
  18. Wallace puts on a clinic for the Jets' fans.
  19. Time of possession: Own the football; own the game.
  20. Nah, too much on the line. Ravens win no matter who takes the snap.
  21. First half of season was warm-up. The real teams rise up early second eight games.
  22. TE strategy: keep the TEs in for blocking; sprint one of backs out for release pass, if needed. The Jets are going to bring the house on defense. Ravens can slow down the rush with the additional blocking. Joe must throw 7-15 darts to setup the Look and Go's. Kicking strategy: make those ever so important three. No problem. Punting strategy: kick out of bounds; keep momentum on Ravens side. Big role in win.
  23. The AFC North is a different story.
  24. Tier-two and Tier-three teams do not make the playoffs.
  25. The Jets are ranked 27th in the NFL. The Ravens are ranked 18th. A win against the Jets is a win against a third-tier team. It is expected second-tier teams defeat third-tier teams. It is bothersome in the direction the Ravens are headed in the rankings. Are the Ravens third-tier?
