  1. Change: Ravens to File Relocation Paperwork Ahead of Potential Los Angeles Move.
  2. Inside out, the Ravens need to clean house. Owner must take a stance before too many PSLs go on the market.
  3. John: The Ravens can still play .500 ball this season, but it would NOT be in their best interest for rebuilding the team. "Play hard, but don't win" will be their motto from here on out. There are number of solid college players that could help the Ravens going forward. The bigger question remains: will the owner make the management changes during the season or wait to the end of the season? My guess he makes the changes sooner than later.
  4. Recap in three words: another earned loss.
  5. Time to clean up the road kill.
  6. Next year the Ravens will be a better ball team.
  7. Kiwis are flightless birds. Birds of feather stick together. Where are the real Ravens?
  8. In chess, sometimes strategically you must give up the queen to win. Joe has got to go in order to rebuild the Ravens team within the next five years. Joe is a great player on and off the field, and teams will give up a lot for him. Time to retool or merely stay adrift.
  9. Honest hard-nose competitive NFL football no longer exists in Baltimore. Time to reset team and particularly management.
  10. Did the Ravens get a phone call at half-time? This season can not end soon enough.
  11. Bad actors usually make a bad film.
  12. Don't believe it; the Ravens owner knows changes are needed and will make moves this season.
  13. Trade Joe Flacco now and rebuild the defense. This season is over; perhaps Dallas or Denver might be willing to give up a few of their defenders? Wholesale personnel changes are needed for the Ravens to be NFL competitive - including significant management changes.
  14. John: stop day dreaming. Changes in office are needed before changes in the field. You were thoroughly warned about the defense at the end of last season. You had a chance to make a difference but you didn't. Ozzie Newsome is clueless. He must go and you must do a reset on what it is this team is all about. The loss at the Browns was pitiful and the entire Ravens organization should be embarrassed and apologetic. No excuses, it was a give away game. Baltimore fans deserve better treatment. Fans were exiting early in the second half and a significant number exited before overtime. That is because the fans can read a throw away game when they see it. In other words, this loss was worse than a single game, it was the final turning-point of your back, on the fans that pay your salaries. It was a lay-down by Ravens management before the season started and will continue the rest of the season. The really bad news, the program has sunk for the next five years. The Ravens owner must wise up that Ozzie's days are over, and then and only then will new management personnel take on vital changes. The Ravens have killed a great fan base. The NFL fan allegiance in Baltimore is drying up; the cost of tickets are not worth the price or worthwhile to watch on TV. The Ravens' time has past. Both Maryland NFL teams are in a dark abyss, sadly.
  15. No more "Next game..." now it is "Next year..." The Orioles didn't allow the Ravens to play a home game after the Super Bowl win; the Ravens have not been the same since. The new defensive coordinator will insist on DBs that can attack the ball and tackle. The loss at home on a beautiful day was symbolic of poor management. If no change in management, expect more of the same failing results. Ticket holders are embarrassed by their hard earned money going down the drain into the Harbor.
  16. Mirror game, shattered season.
  17. Yesterday is gone, now let's focus on Thursday night's game against Pittsburgh. D-coach: bring safety blitzes, alternate LB blitzes, must touch Vick and trap down running backs. O-coach: button hook routes (receivers must keep moving towards the QB and the football). Bring a two-back backfield with one back shooting out to the flats after pressure. Plenty of down field throws, but set it up. Try a reverse, or flea-flicker, or anything that is unexpected. Lastly, get the football, sustain drives, take only what the Pittsburgh's defense will give you. Finish all runs and passes, and catch first before running with the football. Ravens will win this gut check game!
  18. Ravens: play focused and clean and mean - Steel will bend Thursday night!
  19. Joe: you are doing fine. Keep the play action fakes and follow-through. Tell your receivers to step toward the ball and secure it. Yes they will get hit, but making the catch takes away the pain. Have two backs blocking and one release to your strong side. You will get an extra beat to complete the pass or quick dump to back. Shake things up and good things will happen!
  20. Ravens Defense: hit hard early; cause turnovers, tackle through ball carrier, blitz Vick. Ravens Offense: stack back field with fullback & halfback, short comeback routes, X-Go deep. Ravens Coaches: get this team up or stay in the locker room. Ravens fans: Ravens will eat Vick's lunch with timely blitzes, solid play - enjoy "Yes, that's Ravens football!" Ravens writers: nail the positives, spread the purple blood and cause a mean fever - it is time to UNWIND! As always, get the football, keep the football.
  21. Elite or defeat, play smart or take a seat. Give Joe time and he will shine or stay under attack with just one back. Next game, next game, then the reason for saying "next season". A win on Sunday cleans the chalkboard for moving forward.
  22. John: the best defense is the offense. Get the football, keep the football and make smart patient plays. Who is calling the offensive sets and plays? Why not have a two back offensive set to give Joe an extra count or two to make a good pass. The entire team looks out of sync most of the time. Settle down and do the simple plays for positive yardage. Be a little more creative on defense, please. If you keep giving the opponents all day to pass, then they will eat your lunch. Lastly John, show some spirit on the field. The entire staff and players look flat and unmotivated. That is your job to lead this Ravens team. Show us you have something still in your tank and the players and fans will react accordingly.
  23. How about wearing a Throw-back uniform to rekindle the "Raging Ravens"? Change some things to generate fresh energy. Toss the current play book and look at what works now in the NFL, not five years ago. Where is the creativity this traveling offensive coordinator is supposed to bring?
  24. After the game, Coach Del Rio: "Jacksonville, I mean Baltimore, is a good team!"
  25. What are the Ravens eating before their games? Change it please!
