  1. Like Michael Vick, Johnny Manziel will play again, but with more success.
  2. Marylandcrab - you nailed it! Bravo!!
  3. Wallace is better than Julio Jones, but Jones has adequate time to make his break in patterns. The Falcons' O-line is giving Matt Ryan time to throw darts. To maximize Wallace's potential, the Ravens must fix their offensive blocking schemes and have two backs in the backfield to block for Joe. When the Ravens block, Joe throws, and Wallace flies!
  4. Johnny Manziel has had his suspension officially lifted by the NFL and is now eligible to sign with any team. Ravens could get him for a song and work him into their system over a couple of years. Manziel has plenty of football left in him and will be an asset to the team that picks him up. A porous offensive line could leave the Ravens with just one quarterback. Manziel could be a good plan-c in the wings.
  5. Only one receiver gets the football. What good is it to send 5 guys down the field when they don't have time to make their cuts? If Joe has time, he will get the football to the proper receiver or outlet. Reduce the complexity and increase the blocking. Koch is a great punter that does an average job. He continues to punt the football in-bounds allowing returns. The 4-4 defense will put much needed pressure on the opponent's quarterback and jam up the run. The Ravens are not bringing the house like they used to in terms of blitzing. This "bend defense" is ineffective against Tier-1 opponents. The Ravens neither hurry up enough to make an impact on opponent’s defense nor change the momentum of the game.
  6. Adjust to the weakness of the other team, the game is simple.
  7. Harbs is as clean cut as they come in terms of coaching and lives up to his mistakes, like going for two last game. I would keep him as a ST coach.
  8. On October 11, 2015 the Ravens lost to Cleveland in front of a home crowd. That single game defined the Ravens' 2015 season. This week's game October 9 against Washington is again a season defining game. This thread is not about any one player or coach; it is about the soul of the Ravens' organization being on the line in 2016.
  9. Ravens win easy against the Redskins; call it a crowd pleaser. The O-line will be in focus and expect some help in the backfield blocking for Joe. Ravens return to winning form. Joe will be sharp no matter the weather.
  10. 4-0 Week four: Ravens bounce back next week with a few tweaks: let's keep one-two backs in the backfield to block for Joe. If Joe is still forced out of the pocket with two backs blocking, then fire the OC and the OL coach. To be Tier-1 competitive in this pass-happy league, the quarterback needs that extra second for the receiver to make his break. The Ravens have the talented players, but now they need the play formations for sustain offensive play. Sit Koch down and explain to him the advantages of punting the football out of bounds, he doesn't seem to understand. Make smart decisions: going for two-points with that much time left in the second half was ill-advised. Tier-1 teams make corrections each game, thus the Ravens will too.
  11. Wallace: suggest simply handing the football to the referee on future touch-downs for which you will have plenty. Good luck.
  12. Joe: call plays out of the eye formation and deploy crossing patterns deep with a delayed tight-end dragging short. Keep running backs in the backfield for blocking to ensure that extra second you will need on slow turf. Lastly, you must stop running the football; have a release value ready every play with his hands, feet, and eyes moving toward you to reduce the distance between him and the ball.
  13. Both teams have talent, speed, and long-ball kickers.  Ravens have an advantage playing at home.  However, thoughtless penalties and turnovers may prove ultimate differentiation.

Make adjustments, better result next week.

  14. Wallace deep down the field will make silver and black, see blue!
  15. The Raiders defense is subject to the run and pass, but they will force turnovers. The teams are basically evenly matched. The game may come down to two areas: the team with least number of penalty yards and team that runs the football for the most yardage. The Raiders do not turn over the ball as frequently as the Ravens. Both teams have excellent kickers. The Raiders’ kicker set NFL records for kicks beyond the 50. This is a second trip to the east for Oakland in as many weeks; will they be jet-lagged? Ravens although favored, will have their hands full with Oakland. Expect the Ravens to come up short in the end.
  16. Wallace is prime time at home - Joe must find him 15-20 yards down the field and let Wallace do his thing. Expect other receivers to pop open if Wallace is double teamed. It is time for the other Raven receivers shift gears and get deep into Oakland's secondary. Joe has the cannon, but will the line give him time? The Raiders will be a good test for the down field game - it is time to let these Ravens fly!
  17. Ravens will continue to develop their run-block game. Expect to see Dixon lead the pack if he is healthy. Power running out of the I-formation will allow the lead back to block versus the single back formation. The team that can run the ball stands tall.
  18. Wallace will catch more than he drops - you can take his speed to the bank. The Ravens will turn their receivers to full tilt in the Oakland game at home.
  19. 3-0 Week Three: Ravens are still in the fine-tuning stage of a long NFL season. Turbo-charged Tucker nailed a 55 yarder late in the game - he deserves the game ball. Koch needs to punt the football out of bounds (repeat "out of bounds!").
  20. Predicting the score of the Ravens' game on any given Sunday is difficult at best, however, some of the premier experts predict the Ravens will win a close game by one point? The Ravens are not fooling around in Jacksonville. A mere one point victory is not going to happen. The Ravens have been protecting the football while running; therefore the turnovers on the ground will be less than two and in the air less than three. Expect the Ravens' defense to tip the pass-happy Jacksonville passes for picks, setting up the offense with good field position. This game is going to be a work horse game for the Ravens' interior linemen. The Ravens will stay tightly within their gridiron goals. The Ravens will win, but there is no telling by what score. The measurements the coaching staff will be taking on every play are focused on execution and positional technique. Points are just one the outcomes of these focus areas. Controlling the momentum on both sides of the football is another. Points are easy, imposing your will on the field is hard, but it is the core of all Tier-1 level teams. The Ravens are earning their core signature one down at a time.
  21. Wallace only asks for one thing: the football. Joe will make that happen, no doubt.
  22. The Ravens are noticeably not taking teams lightly. Playing football between the left tackle and right tackle is the way to attack Jacksonville. The pass is an option all day, but the Ravens would be smarter to work on the power running game to improve sync with blocking assignments by interior linemen. Expect the running game to set up the passing game. Joe will successfully deploy an array of aerial attacks: short darts, screens, and fast fly patterns. Bottom line: the Ravens must find a way to get the lead early and to keep hold of the momentum on both sides of the football the entire game.
  23. Chemistry is developing with each game. Ravens are moving as a unit in the right direction and maintaining momentum.
  24. 2-0 Week Two: DBs made smart adjustments and attacked the football. Raven rushers tagged the Brown's QB and secured Raven momentum. Wallace's slant near the goal line demonstrated clearly his keen ability to shield the path of the football while making the money catch in the end zone. Wallace is the total package; Joe will find him frequently for deep positive results. The Ravens coming methodically from behind while on the road is a bigger win than leading from the start. Ravens are showing they can fully adjust and execute on both sides of the ball with control.
  25. 1-0 week one: impressive DBs and Wallace flashed on offense. Punts need to go out of bounds, no run backs.
