Jabril Pepper will be our 1st round pick. The dude is so exciting to watch and I would love to see him in Black and Purple.

That's less than a 1% chance of getting anyone in those rounds that's anything but........mediocre. Ozzie can boast, we can wish, but the odds are that this draft might fail due to our conservative picks in rounds 1 & 2.......two rounds you need to come away with elite players.
Tucker was a UDFA and I wouldnt want any other kicker in the league, you can find play makers throughout the draft. Honestly ProBowl doesnt mean what it used too, it all changed when the fans started picking the players. Its not about the stats anymore like it was back in the day, now its all about who is popular and most of the time its the 1st and 2nd round pick guys.

I would have to say the biggest thing I was upset about was passing on Myles Jack, I understand his knee problem and that we still got a great player. In my opinion he just isnt a player that you can pass on in the 2nd round, not only is he a top 5 player when healthy but he is so versatile that he can play any level on the Defense. I understand with the injuries we have had on the team and Perriman missing all of last year it was hard to spend a high pick on another questionable player. However I think we could of got a higher pick in return for trading down.

Now that Weddle is back there, he can direct Brown if need be. Next, I dont think there is a salary cap on scouts, or a max number that you can have? That being said, More scouts with talent on the payroll, can that be a bad thing? Can take more video of key players, maybe from Freshmen on up. I do hope we are not waiting for the Senior bow or combine to decide if we like somebody, as I suspect that is where all these pundit mock drafters decide how good players are.
I have a feeling we are going to play a lot more 4-3 and sub packages putting the best 11 guys on the field, It helps we are stacked at the DL and DB position. I wouldn't mind trying KC inside next to CJ, I think he could some great things there and it gives us the flexibility to slide him inside and outside in certain packages.
I dont think there is a limit on the scouts and have always wanted to be one for our Ravens. I plan on being one by this time next year, I will be focusing more on the lowlights and what they can improve on to become the best possible player they can.

Best scenario is he is healthy and the new kid is great too. Both play, gives us some options moving people around, Next year? Maybe a different story.
Personally I wouldn't mind having some extra money to resign Tucker ?
13 hours ago, rossihunter2 said:to be fair he shouldn't have ended up on injured reserve - that was a mistake by Oz for hoping that perriman would heal and so we lost camp for the season when he would have been back in a couple of weeks - yes it's an issue that he cannot stay healthy but if he'd been seen as a starter or 3rd string guy he would have finished the season - obviously if he gets injured in camp again then he's probably gone but he's just so good at finding space that it will be hard to cut him if he's healthy through camp even if he is "injury prone" - although the kinds of injuries he's been getting are supposedly what the new fitness guy is for
Im thinking Ozzie decided that it was best to shut him down for the season and give him the extra time to get completely healthy. He knows this training camp and preseason is his last chance to make the team.

Sorry i dont know how to get rid of the extra boxes ?
Noah admitted he was hanging out with the wrong people and since getting kicked out of the Big 10 he has done everything possible in turning his life around. The last 20 drug test he has taken have been clean and he has taken those people out of his life that were jeopardizing his life. I dont know what drug addict could pass 20 drug tests in a row.
Personally I can't judge the man for mistakes that he made while still a kid in college. It really scared him straight and I hope and believe he will have a great career.

I see the Jags winning their Division next year and most likely beating us in week 3.. They have a top 5 Offense and after the FA and Draft they will have a top 5-10 Defense. We just screwed ourselves for years to come by not being aggressive enough.
This sadly is my favorite pick in the draft. I liked the Stanley pick just because Franchise LTs are hard to find and he will be a beast for us. Unfortunately I felt like there was better players sitting there with all of our other picks. Not the worst draft we have had but also not the best draft either, my only hope is we got that swarm of injury bugs finally out of the Castle.
1 hour ago, GrimCoconut said:Where did you read this? I would imagine the Cowboys would be seriously flagged for something like that.
Doesnt exactly come out and say it but when he has been running for 3 1/2 weeks, squatting 400lbs and leg pressing 600lbs I see absolutely nothing wrong with his knee.. I just find it a HUGE coincidence that the team that did the surgery on him happens to also be the team that drafted him. Remember we are talking about the player that could of went #1 overall in the draft if they knew his knee would be fine.
Jerry Jones paid his team doctor millions to keep Jaylen Smith's actual information that his knee will be just fine so they could draft him in the 2nd round.
Myles Jack was informed that his knee will not need surgery either, I think that had a huge part of the Jags trading up to draft him. I have a feeling the Jags did a similar situation by paying someone off to let the player they wanted in the 1st to slide into the 2nd round.
http://www.sbnation.com/2016/4/29/11540586/myles-jack-knee-injury-nfl-draft-surgery
My opinion we made a HUGR mistake not drafting Jack, KC doesn't even stand off the tape against Colorado State. I am more depressed about the pick than angry.
I read right after he was drafted that the doctor released new information saying he wouldn't need Knee Surgery and that he will be just fine. It was a huge mistake passing up on him, even with getting the extra 2 players we got.
Its also interesting to hear that the Cowboys doctor was the one that did Jaylen Smith's surgery and it is actually a lot better than they told everyone. I wonder how many millions Jerry paid for that information to stay quiet.

I would say a solid B. Could of been an A with the addition of Myles Jack. I was hoping we would trade back into the 3rd but at least tomorrow draft will be exciting for us.

1 minute ago, merryjman said:So you're telling us hands down that you are smarter than DeCosta, Newsome and the entirety of the Ravens scouting staff? They saw Jack was there, they could have taken him, and they didn't.
I guess we will see at the end of the year.. I can imagine the Perriman pick last year took a major part of not picking Myles Jack. He is just took good of a player to pass up in the 2nd round.

There goes Kendall Fuller.. Looks like we are getting no CB help this draft..
2 minutes ago, surfdude said:With all due respect most of you are way too harsh on the picks. None of us have the intel and the know how on who measures up and who doesn't. Most just listen to the talking heads babble about this guy and that guy. Wait 2 years then say this guy was a bust or a stud.
I can tell you hands down that Myles Jack would of been the steal of the draft at #36 and contention for DROY.. I can't say that for anyone we drafted..
Sadly this will be the draft that we look back at when the Jaguires become the team to regularly knock us out of the playoffs. I love our team but I am very disappointed we traded back twice in the second round. Especially to the Jaguires that we knew would draft Myles Jack, why not get a 4th round out of it instead of a 5th. If Myles Jack wasn't the BPA when we traded back and decided he was worth a 5th Rd pick then it's a sad day to be a Ravens fan. Again I'm not bashing who we drafted but I guess it's just my fault for getting my hopes up for a difference making draft.
15 minutes ago, ellicottraven said:Who in the world is Denrico Autry? Well, we've consistently drafted on the 'meh' scale for the first 3 rounds. So, is the front office playing it too safe? This guy is ranked 91st on ESPN and we took him @70. Correa was ranked 42nd on NFL.com and we took him 42nd. At least not a reach. But, surely we only got 1 first round pick contrary to the speech given by Eric DeCosta about getting 2 first rounder with the first 2 picks. Didn't happen.
I was so hyped for the draft because I knew we would have a chance on drafting two 1st round type players. When I read that article I knew they would spend all the time needed to scout a stud for the top of the 2nd round. Now it just seems like they don't know how to draft elite talent anymore high in the draft.
4 minutes ago, ALPHA said:Subjective 20% chance we get a linebacker with a knee that is slowly destroying itself, and he's throwing his toys because he didn't go in the first round.
I think it's more embarrament of sitting there the entire 1st round with your hopes up of getting drafted by a team. I think he knew he would slip out of the top 10 but no way did he think he would fall out of the 1st round. This will only put a bigger chip on his shoulder to go out and prove he is a player that should of went in the 1st round. I for one hopebwe do whatever it takes to draft him because I believe he will be an all-star and in the running for DPOY, especially on our team.
2 minutes ago, beanfigger said:Not saying we should take Jack ahead of someone like Spence, but if the Jags do end up with both Ramsey and Jack...I can't even think of the words to express how crazy that is. Gus Bradley gets his defensive stars to pair with a rising offense full of young players.
Dont forget about last year's #3 overall pick Dante Flower, that would be worst case scenario since I already worry about playing them in the next couple years in the playoffs.
9 minutes ago, ALPHA said:Thats not hypothetical thats whats going to happen this season and every single one after it, just like his knee is going to deteriorate. Besides he's not a Raven so he doesn't need a white knight, we don't have to agree.
Last time I checked he was still available and we are the 5th team picking, most likely a QB is going, Dodd and maybe a Corner. There is still a very good chance he ends up a Raven and if that's the case we just won the draft.
5 hours ago, Jaybirds said:This conversation made me realize how concerned I am about middle linebacker. No wonder I like Ragland too much, Cravens too. But I don't think we take either in the second.
I can actually see us moving to more of a 4-3 base but with a lot of nickle and dime sub packages. If we happen to get Scooby in tomorrow's draft then I will be happy but we have more concerns with our 2nd and 3rd pick.
Drafting Stanley over taking the picks the Browns got was a no brainier decision. He still have plenty of time to select Defensive players.

I greatly appreciate what Boldin brought to our team and the legacy he left behind, We wouldn't of won the Super Bowl without him.
After this year you can add Sizzle to that list of players, nobody else deserves to wear #55 .
