  1. Why is everyone calling for Waller, the guy looked like he had bricks on his feet in the preseason, no explosiveness at all, which is what we need and what we don't have in Aiken, and Brown.

if as you say all 3 are the same, 2 of the 3 have had chances to perform and they've failed. Why not give the other one, Waller, a shot. He certainly can't do worse and if he does so what? The Ravens aren't getting anywhere with the other 2 anyway. At least Waller could get some experience and perhaps develop. I think the young man has talent and could produce on the field.

  2. Great rivalry for sure..... Now can someone tell me if what I just read on NFL website is true? Did Perriman have surgery to repair his PCL, and is out indefinitely ???

I read an article that said this was his second surgery on the knee. And Harbaugh indicated the other day there was nothing new to report on the Perriman situation. SMH.

  3. Harrison usually has a field day against the Ravens. Hurst is in for a rough night unless he gets some help, chip blocking, double teaming, or sliding pocket protection, something otherwise it'll be turnstile Hurst and Flacco will get lit up. Ravens and injuries are baffling. Nothing more to say about Perriman, not even Sherlock Holmes could solve that mystery. Monroe seems to be a part time player. He's a big disappoint if not because he's sitting out it's his mediocre play when he does start. Hopefully Vick will be as bad as some predict and the Ravens end the losing streak.

  4. Our problem has been sticking with the run game even when it's not working. We tried running on multiple 3rd and shorts, and we got stuffed both times. Trestman should have seen that coming, because our power run game has been shut down all year. Forsett averaged 1.3 yds/carry, and we had multiple runs for a loss that didn't even count because we got called for holding. Running the ball has done nothing but set up 2nd and 3rd and longs and lead to punts this year. When we get away from the run and spread them out is when the offense consistently moves the ball and puts up points. I think some Baltimore fans are just programmed to say "we need to run the ball more" after every loss.

I agree completely and I've commented on this many times. The 'gotta run first' mentality is what is making this offense inconsistent. All defenses in the NFL today will stop run heavy offenses. The old school run to set up the pass is a by gone scheme that the Ravens continue to push and unsuccessfully so. Yards can be made on the ground but only when the defense is spread out and when the passing game is humming. There is no doubt in my mind if the Ravens would change philosophy to pass first, run second, the offense would be better. There would be less 2d and 3d & longs and who knows, maybe Aiken & Marlon could get in a groove, although I'd like to see them dropped to the bottom of the depth chart and Waller & Camp given playing time. Like or not the offense is scoring but given our defense it has to score more and trying to pound it is futile. BTW, can the Ravens come up with a better opening play of the game other than a pass to Juice in the flat!?

  5. Definitely not over until mathematically eliminated. Playing as the Ravens have been playing though could see that eventually realize itself sooner than we all would like. Do things differently. First, the old mantra of " We have to run the ball " has to be abandoned. We have to do what the rest of the NFL does. Pass, pass, and pass some more until a surprise run or two will work. The scheme of having to run the ball to set up play action and be successful at passing is ancient in the NFL. The Ravens offense philosophy has to get with the times.

To that end I think 3 games is enough to make the case that Aiken and Marlon have to drop to the bottom of the depth chart. Time to go with Waller and Camp and Perriman when he can play. These youngsters can certainly do no worse than Aiken and Marlon. Plus there is still SSS just playing his heart out so it doesn't matter if it's the youngsters or the two UDFAs on the field with him. This will give the youngsters valuable experience for next year when SSS is gone.

As for the defense, I have no clue - seemingly like the present DC. It's evident if they aren't blitzing they aren't getting pressure so that will have to be the scheme. Also start benching players who are missing assignments or are just flat out inept. Not sure that will send a message or not. But something has to be done. The Ravens are perilously close to just playing the season out and that won't be fun for the fans or players.
