No tiptoing around the tulips - I wonder if without Joe Flacco as well as without Justin Forsett and Steve Smith Sr and 2-3 OL we have a chance at winning another game...
One more. At least one more. Schawb has to resurect. Jus and Allen to run.
Schaub does have what it takes to win. Or at least did. He just needs to remember that and put it into action. He hasn't looked good in practice, but he WAS a pro bowl QB. I'm hoping that he's one of the guys that starts performing well when the pressure is high. Allen looked great and I'm glad to see Juice rolling. He's versatile and tough and that's what matters.
Damn, that was a tough one to watch. I've abused the screen plenty throughout the game and thought I'm about to have a heart-attack with the punt return for TD until "Out of Bounds" was announced. In the end, it didn't make a difference though ![]()
Working hard coming off injury. Ankle and Achilles looking good, elbow not so much, but it'll do. Offence training done Monday, team training completed yesterday and hardcore training today a success
I'll get myself in shape for scrimmage with Munich next Saturday, whatever it takes!
Anybody know, whether the set up of the post-game pressers on this page has changed? I have always been able to watch them and done so and suddenly I can't. They show up all greyed out. Not living in the USA.
I don't see it either. I'm wondering if there's some tech issues or if maybe they're doing something with our injured longsnapper or if maybe there's trouble in the locker room ... no clue. Maybe they're having a "AFC North 1st party" ![]()
I worry about Morgan Cox is it? I want him to be okay. Well, glad it ain't just me. Means might get better next week. Well, sure they'd have a celebration, but not before Sizzle gives us some trash talk after his safety ![]()
I love Jacoby Jones pressers. Oh wait, I probably love Jacoby Jones. He's a charmer
And love that he chose Baltimore over money. Really appreciated. Bobby Engram made a good impression too. Hope he can maintain it once game day comes along.
Seriously? Is everyone going to keep posting about Trawick's hit on Jacoby? Wow, one hit really does screw up your life. I don't know anything about the kid apart from the fact that he has multiple pages of comments worth of hitting Jacoby Jones in 80% of the comments.
I was one of those people when it happened too, especially when I had just been lamenting the release of Bobby Rainey since we didn't have a viable backup returner behind Jacoby while Deonte and Asa were out. It's well in the past and most are actually over it but its unfortunately a stigma he will carry with him until he does something more notable. Hopefully he can accomplish that this year.
I know what you mean. And it really didn't look good and is the only thing I remember about him too. I just find it pointless to post a comment trying to be funny about it on a page, if there are 20 other looking the same. It irks me for two reasons - I read the comments to find something interesting or trivia I didn't know or somebody else's opinion so that I learn something new. Filtering the hate is a pain. Second thing is - I don't mind if people mention it in passing, aft...
I'm back from scrimmage in Hungary. In the end, we lost 6:0 in third overtime, but altogether, it was a good game for us, second ever game played against another girls' team. Our defense was beyond fantastic, outperforming everyone on the field. Our offense was struggling some, but there were moments to be proud of and our passing game improved. I played LG and DT and was way better than in Germany. Altogether it was a 16 hour round bus trip, but totally worth it!
For those I was talking to about our matches with Prague Harpies and my ILB struggles - we won our final match. Defense held solid. I'm a dummy because I didn't manage to hold onto an int and someone fractured my pinky while trying to recover a forced fumble, but still very happy that things went down the way they did.
Is Ryan Mink drunk or just tired? He looked it in the interview right now
Otherwise, he's my favorite guy there and always really smooth.
Looking forward to the next game. I'm excited about what we have here and want to see how Monroe fares on the field. Apart from that, I'm just really looking to get back on the field myself. Had a sprained ankle, but have got to practice for scrimmage with Hungarian girls and German girls.
The result sucks, but I'm proud of the guys. Even though we're not playing to get in the playoffs, even though the results of the game were getting further and futher away, they played their hearts out. Talentwise we lost out, there was no way our backup team could make it, but by gods they didn't give up!
Today it's an I LOVE YOU JOE! Wow. Just wow. That 21 yard scramble? He's my guy. And keeping it cool in the last minute of the game and winning it for us (with Marlon Brown of course!), that's admirable.
Sunday I have learnt first hand, how important special teams are. Harpies have a good defense, but not great defense and if the punt team consistently keeps leaving the ball within our own 20-yard-line, at times at the 3y then the offense needs to get more than 1 TD. This Saturday we'll do better! Excited to kick more butt!
Had to laugh and celebrate and all when Ravens decided to go for it on 3rd and 9, because of missing long snapper and got a TD on it. And then considered going for 2 for the same reason. Instead, was it really Haloti Ngata?
Hope Morgan Cox is going to be okay :-/
What's worse than losing is losing so close every game. It feels like "We could have won, but didn't try hard enough."
Agreed with both coaches, HC and DC - once I'm able to do sports again, I will be a linebacker.
I'm having a tough time figuring out my profile and following discussions in the same manner as I did with the previous layout.
A bunch of matches coming up this autumn for Prague Harpies. Might need to reevaluate my position again though ![]()
