  1. I found out recently, that all of my ancestors who emigrated to the USA in mid-20th century moved to Pennsylvania, Pittsburgh specifically. Both mom's & dad's side. Turns out I'm a blood traitor :D Go Ravens! Kick everybody's butt! Steelers' one extra special.

Thanks, I'll take a look and once I have some money again, I might get one :) Customs are a pain though!

Hahahahahahah, I'd do that. My grandparents and them are pen pals. Unfortunately, genuine Ravens jersey is one that I haven't been able to acquire overseas :( T-shirt, baseball cap, etc, I could, but not a jersey. At Harpies we only wear our uniforms for matches, so if I could get my hands on C.J. Mosley's one (I play ILB with #57), I'd practice in that.

YYZ66, that far back? :o Makes you practically royalty :D I started playing football almost 3 years back and in order to learn the rules quickly, I decided to pick a team, even tough it was offseason and follow all the news. Raven is one of my fav animals, definitely my fav poem, by Edgar Allan Poe and the jerseys are purple, so that was settled early on.

I think it was a popular destination to go. Pittsburgh or Chicago for a lot of people from East Europe.

  6. I want to see how our team does without the regular starters and who is Matt Schaub right now. This game has no playoff implications and I have to get up at 6 AM, but I will watch at least a part of the game that starts 2:30 AM my time.

Refs cost us the game with a bad call that retracted a touchdown. Whole of offense cost us the game, because they couldn't convert 1 yard to get a first down on three attempts a couple yards from the end zone. Sure, he could have thrown it better, but both the passes were deflected and that's piss-poor luck. Our guys could have caught it as well as their guys. That's not ONLY on Schaub.

It's a bit of everything. Two touchdowns were on Schaub (both Aiken and Allen were a pass), two were on special teams. Defense was good, I can only judge the first half, but especially C.J., Hill and Webb were all over the place. Glad to see Jernigan panning out alright as well as Brandon Williams.

No worries, I enjoy some trash talk when it comes to football. Offensive too. I don't take it personal and I don't mean it personal, just love winding people up. I'll tell you if I hate Bosa Saturday evening :D Michigan have a good OL this year and we've got Peppers, who can play 9 positions and all excellent.

He's had a couple good plays in the last game. I expect(ed) more of him, but he's not bad. He'll get there. Brandon Williams is a monster though! Even with all the injuries all year, I've never heard anyone rant about letting Ngata go. Williams is the reason why.

I hope that she isn't Late for Work, as in, that her article isn't published later than usual. Which is also the name of the article at the same time. You see, for you, it's published right around 9:30 AM, but for me it's already 3:30 PM and I've been waiting all day long for any articles about football.

Flashy isn't necessarily what counts. Neither was Courtney Upshaw, but he's still important for what we do up front. Someone has to do the work that helps others get their stats and prevents yardage happening.

I'll take your word for it, because I haven't really registered either. Generally I notice 57 & 51, but I watch for them, because ILB is the position I play. I've seen 50 step up too. A. Brown has supposedly done well in special teams. If those whispers are true, I will miss D. Smith, but it'll be good to step away from the game while he's still a heck of a player rather than after decline, cut, attempt with another team and another cut like a lot of the players go..

  19. When we beat the Chargers... Ray gave the team a pregame speech. We beat the Rams... Ed Reed gave the team a pregame speech. This truly shows we are missing a leader in the locker room. I believe if Suggs didn't get hurt, he would be that guy. Then when Suggs retires, we again have nobody. We need to find a locker room leader for 2016.

My hopes are up for CJ. He'll get there eventually, with more experience and more commendations in his CV. Timmy Jernigan has some of Sizzle's sass, but not his leadership. He'll be the player we'll enjoy and other fans will love to hate. Ed Reed - it'd be great if he eventually made it into Ravens' coaching staff.

I like Daryl, he's a beast, but he's slowing down and getting worse in coverage, so I think soon he might be. That's very much on whether anyone outperforms him in training camp.

Schaub does have what it takes to win. Or at least did. He just needs to remember that and put it into action. He hasn't looked good in practice, but he WAS a pro bowl QB. I'm hoping that he's one of the guys that starts performing well when the pressure is high. Allen looked great and I'm glad to see Juice rolling. He's versatile and tough and that's what matters.

  23. Browns' TEs taking apart our C.J. & Buck on man-o-man coverage had one personal positive for me. It showed me that even ILBs who lack raw speed can be elite as they usually are. This exposed how much of what they do is everything other but speed - reflexes, smarts, good instinct and good tackling. Because some of these I can develop.

So it's even worse than we thought. We didn't lose 2 LBs yesterday, but 3. All OLB. The last one found out today she broke her arm :( Leaves us no rotation at all. Honestly, it's the pride that hurts most. We won every single game last season. This year we won just one, drew one and downhill from there. Yesterday hurt, because for the first time, defense really sucked. PBC only have 3-5 offense plays they run over and over, but execute them better than we can defend them as injury...

Well, we got our butt whopped. And lost three linebackers while at it. That's four down this season :( Slightest comfort is that nothing went up the middle except the one where they got lucky with our blitz play-call, however still sucks bigtime.
