  1. Kudos to Trestman for recognizing that Juice can be a weapon and using him that way. He's better at catching bubble screens etc than being the 3rd-and-1 bruiser. Hope to see Williams' start ascending too. Can't really comment on much of the coaching, except the secondary this year and last year. Elam was a definite upgrade over Michael Huff in his rookie year and won the starting position by week two. Obviously, there was space for improvement, but he was not too shabby. His second year they played him all over the place, at nickel, in the box, at free safety... It's alright to move Webb around a little, he's been in the league for a while and knows what he's doing, for the most part. However, you don't do that to a player that's new. Instead of developing him on one position and deepening his understanding of his responsibilities there, getting him more comfortable to make the right calls they made him do a bit of this and a bit of that and obviously, instead of making progress, he went backwards by miles. Does anyone even wonder? As well, secondary was our weakness last year and this year also. And least durable. How can injuries affect one position so much more than any other?
  2. I thought he was a disaster at the start of season, with a couple holding penalties and plenty errors, but he HAS gotten better towards the end. I think Webb is the better player though. He seems to split fans between those who dig him (like me) and those who think he should get cut. If there's anyone who outcompetes him for the free safety position in training camp, then we should obviously go with the guy who's the biggest asset, however, I think there is an upside to him in experience and leadership. Even in points, when he's banged up and could do better, if he's willing to mentor younger and more physical players who will eventually grow to take his position, he could be helpful for us. Without him in the secondary we truly have no seniority at all.
  3. Glad to see him make the move and I can imagine him thriving there. He has the athletic skills, the confidence and definitely the communication skills. He'll do well making the calls, of that I'm sure. And with AJ Green's TD Sunday, he didn't even seem that slow. He outran the corner (can't remember who it was at the moment, Shareece Wright?) and got at least a hit on AJ, unfortunately, too late. His speed isn't what it used to be, but safety should fit him. And he's a fan favorite of mine. Kendrick Lewis improved as season progressed, but I expect Webby to beat him up in competition. Might not always be the case in the future, but at this point in time, Webb is the better player. Matt Elam is a strong safety. (I'll refer to his rookie year and pretend year 2 didn't happen) He does well in the box, but not in free space and is a hard hitter, but not a ball-hawk. Elam can back up Hill if he can prove that year 2 was a freak year.
  4. I think Clarence Brooks is staying. But either one of them is not a coach we want to lose. DL & LB are the two best managed units in our D.
  5. I found out recently, that all of my ancestors who emigrated to the USA in mid-20th century moved to Pennsylvania, Pittsburgh specifically. Both mom's & dad's side. Turns out I'm a blood traitor :D Go Ravens! Kick everybody's butt! Steelers' one extra special.

Hahahahahahah, I'd do that. My grandparents and them are pen pals. Unfortunately, genuine Ravens jersey is one that I haven't been able to acquire overseas :( T-shirt, baseball cap, etc, I could, but not a jersey. At Harpies we only wear our uniforms for matches, so if I could get my hands on C.J. Mosley's one (I play ILB with #57), I'd practice in that.

Hmmm, did you try the NFL web site and try to order online? I thought the NFL is a world wide brand. Try emailing the Ravens http://www.baltimoreravens.com/contact-us.html and ask for help, am sure they will try to help you get Mosley's jersey.

Thanks, I'll take a look and once I have some money again, I might get one :) Customs are a pain though!

  6. You're right! I think we even talked about it. Perhaps for him, without Reed, Lewis and especially Haloti Ngata, it is not the same. Ngata's trade did not really impact our DL in any negative way, but it took some of Suggs' soul.
  7. "Suggs is a little vulnerable right now," Smith said. "So, I'm not going to talk to Suggs about it. He's not a ray of sunshine like he usually is." "You can ask Terrell Suggs that question." Elvis Dumervil said. "Suggs was among the few injured players who didn't come into the locker room after attending the Ravens' season-ending team meeting," wrote Hensley. "He hasn't spoken to reporters since he suffered the season-ending injury in the opener in Denver." I'm not sure how to feel about that. Are you trying to ease us into Suggs announcing retirement? Or is there no other news that will get people's attention? Sounds to me like you guys are trying to imply that his injury isn't healing compatible with a football career. Please tell me I'm wrong!
  8. An inconsistent job of acknowledging that Ravens won the matchup? Not enough to boost our record to 6-10 as it should have been, but accepting enough that we bet them to give them a head-start picking in the draft? Congratulations to the league, not funny.
  9. Is Pees really responsible? Or is he 2013's Juan Castillo of 2015? I'm not saying anything one way or another, but people always need a scapegoat. Everyone was calling for Castillo to be sacked, even mid-season, if need be. He's still here and his OL is doing well. The difference was upgrading from Gino Gradkowski, not a coach change.
  10. Ok, I'm going with Aiken. However, it's my running back situation that's killed me. If you want to laugh, I played Cam Newton, KC Chiefs defense and Golden Tate, but nobody else got more than 3 points. Actually, Danny Amendola had negative points and he wasn't the only one. Still lost only by 3 points total. Damn, that burns! Really don't want to be sacko this year. I have a 10-4 record, so that would irk me to no end.
  11. Kaelin Clay has earned the returner job in my opinion, he's explosive. A lot to learn, but I'm happy to see him back there. On Za'Darius Smith - he's not very visible in every game he plays (yet), but he was impressive in Pittsburgh and was great to watch against Kansas City too. Since I didn't get to watch or play football until I was about 25, I'm not that great with evaluating players in any manner close to experienced, but what stands out to me is the way he uses his arms. Dude, what's your wingspan? Whenever I see him on a tackle or a sack, what I notice is, that he can take a guy down just by stretching his arms out in the right direction and he's good with using them. Of course, he'll get better as he learns to get in the right place with all of his body, so that he can wrap players up, but any tackle is better than no tackle and if he's skilled at using his length and reach to get to players, I'm down with that.
  12. It was a tie for me between 1 & 4. Obviously, I love the black jerseys. A LOT! And grey looks impressive and I'd be glad to see it used in some combination or other (not with gold!). The fan design Sarah posted yesterday with the gray uniform was the best in my opinion. I mean the one with Sizzle's jersey. Right after that, the all white and gold combo (Steve Smith jersey) was pretty epic too. The link is here - https://twitter.com/KayoBlock/status/679071624365137921/photo/1?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw
  13. I'm really happy that Sam Koch finally made it! There is no punter out there more deserving of such validation. And Yanda - he is a beast!
  14. I agree that Webb has played well enough to stay, but I think they will move him to free safety or nickel permanently. After all, the biggest gripe against him this season is that he doesn't have the speed for man2man on speedster outside WRs. Otherwise he's smart and sees the field well. They will need to make a call on whether they want to keep one of the CBs currently on our IR or draft a talent from the draft (understanding that many DBs take beyond rookie year to develop fully). One of the needs we do need to address high in the draft in my opinion is an addition to the O-line, preferably at the tackle position. We'll have some running backs to trade for some positions as well, because we can't possibly keep Forsett, Taliaferro, Allen, West and Magee all and they are pretty decent. Not sure about Magee, but the rest. Pass rusher and/or other OLB will be another urgent need. We might lose Courtney Upshaw and both Sizzle and Doom are not a long term solution - next year for sure, but beyond that? I'd rather we train a replacement while they're playmakers and on our roster than in action as starters in rookie season.
  15. I love our front seven. We do miss Sizzle to help split up people between him and Doom, but apart from that, I'm happy with what I'm seeing. Jernigan is a mauler, has the power and he has some pretty neat highlights, I've noticed. He's also got the showman attitude you can love if you're a Raven at heart and will wind you up if you're an opponent. Only thing is, he has to get his temper under control, because when he doesn't, it's a flag and 15 yards. Earlier this season it was a VERY late hit on the QB and this week it was for retaliating and we all know it's generally the second guy that gets the flag - another 15 yards.
  16. Good on Magee! He did some good things in the preseason. Mosert was a decent returner. Anyway, we'll have to be cutting some running backs next year, that's the one position we are really deep at once everyone comes back from IR - Forsett, Allen, Taliaferro, West, now Magee... I also want to see what the CBs come up with and also Webby doing well... I really like the guy and would hate to see him cut.
  17. I'm sure he will shoulder the responsibility. He doesn't have what it takes anymore to be an outside cornerback. I hope he makes a permanent move to nickel or free safety. I can see from fan comments on Webby, that it's not a popular opinion, but I would like him to stay, just in a position that he can handle. He's got the smarts and a lot of what you need in the secondary, but unfortunately, the ACLs did permanently impede his speed. Hey, even better players made the move from CB to safety, when the time was right, look at Woodson. It's either that or be cut and I want him to stay and prove that he can be an asset still.
  18. Flexing out of primetime will make the game easier to watch for me in central Europe. I hope fans still show up at M&T Bank Stadium... how I wish I could go.. any day, any game the Ravens play.
  19. Keep KO! He's the type of guy you want to have your back.
  20. He was definitely an improvement! I didn't notice the left tackle, which is always a good thing on the OLine, because you generally do when things go wrong. Jimmy Clausen hasn't left the game all bashed up, bruised and messed up six ways to Sunday, so Osmele did alright. I'm definitely in favor of keeping a guy like him on our roster. If there is anything that can be done to keep him, without impairing the team drastically elsewhere, it should be done. Keep KO!
  21. Biggest lost all season, but hell, that's why I support the Ravens - we knew going in the game, that with the roster filled up by backups and by WRs who's names I can no longer memorize before they're out again that we weren't there talent-wise, but the guys played their hearts out. Hawks played better, but Ravens haven't played halfassed, even when the score ran away. That's why I will watch every game till the end, even if we lose out. Kamar Aiken made some tough catches as well as 83 and 84. And the hair tackle was the highlight of the game for me THAT's how you don't get pick-sixes on INTs - when guys have enough presence of mind to hold onto the guy with the ball, no matter what. Ugly loss, but tremendous effort. PS: Did anyone else notice Jimmy Clausen looks a little like Jim Harbaugh in the face? Including the expressions. I had to laugh last week when I saw them side by side talking
  22. I did. Want my guys to get in.
  23. The result sucks, but I'm proud of the guys. Even though we're not playing to get in the playoffs, even though the results of the game were getting further and futher away, they played their hearts out. Talentwise we lost out, there was no way our backup team could make it, but by gods they didn't give up!

  24. It's unlikely, but how awesome would it be if Ravens won? I'd really want the Ravens to get angry and prove everyone wrong. Will you let the pundits diss you?
  25. I advise the last one to a lot of the fans.
