  1. Today's all good! Ramsey has sass like one of the Mean Girls :D
  2. I wouldn't wish that on him. But then, I wouldn't wish the Browns on him either. He'll be somewhere in the top 5 for sure, if he continues to play the way he's been playing this and last year.
  3. 2014 had a drop rate of 7.5%, which is somewhat high, though not unreasonable. Was credited with 10 dropped passes on 134 targets. 2015 had a drop rate of 1.4%, which is outstanding. Credited with one drop on 73 targets. 1 drop on 26 targets so far this year. So really the drops aren't actually a concern if you actually look at the data. I'm sure if you compare his yards after catch with other WRs in the league, he'll rate pretty high as well. I haven't seen a whole game this year, but last year for sure.
  4. That's a fair point to make. Not all that a player does on the field translates into stats. If an ILB plugs a hole in the middle, and the RB has to bounce back and choose a different route, he's already done a job. If a DB covers a WR well, so the WR doesn't get targetted, the DB has done his job, though me might not get tackle stats.
  5. That's a good comeback from Steve Smith Sr! I laughed. As to Tucker, I've drafted him for my FF team 3rd year in a row. And with my talent benching scoring RBs (Jeremy Hill and LeSean McCoy this week) in favor of guys who don't get to the endzone, Tucker has got me some ugly wins too. Might be this week as well, since with 15 points he's my best scoring player on the active roster.
  6. Ravens are looking decent this year and unless they mess-up bigtime, I think they're ultimately fine. However, I'd say the Jacksonville game is about 50/50, and god knows about the Raiders too. Those are odd ones. I see Ravens not getting a win on some of the lower to average teams, and then totally smashing some contender. It's something they manage to do pretty much every year - lose to a loser and then beat up a winner. Am I the only one looking at Mrs Forsett's abs and thinking "WOW!"?
  7. It was nice of Browns to give a moment for silence for CB. Love the email from O. J. Brigance. I think that one sentence was the best motivational speech the team could have got. And he knows about adversity. I wear the 57 jersey in his honor (and love CJ too).
  8. I'm perfectly fine with boring. The only Raven on the roster of my fantasy football is the defense anyway. The heart-attack games might once cause me a heart-attack. I wonder why.
  9. I can respect a team, that can respect their opponents. Good on the Bills.Tyrod is also turning into quite the playmaker with the spins. But Ravens D was on the money!
  10. I wish him the best of luck with the next team. He's a skilled player. Both him and Ravens just got unlucky with the injuries.
  11. The blog by Monroe on the T-Train is very well written and gives a good insight into how players deal with pain and what effect it has on them. Well worth the read. For those bashing on Monroe for 'work ethic', as far as I know, his work ethic was never questioned and the only reason he is facing starter controversy is he pulled the short end of the stick while with us in Baltimore. It's unfortunate, it could cost him his job, and rightly so, Ravens can't afford to keep guys for sentiment, but for what they do for the team on the field. However, he's been a hard worker and apart from the last two years, when he's been dealing with injury repeatedly, he was a durable and reliable player. I'm still hoping he can get back on track, although I feel comfortable with having Stanley succeed him.
  12. That will change a lot, over the next couple of seasons. Year 1 with Jim, and already there was a massive improvement! They should be recruiting the cream from now on, so they will eventually funnel quality players into the NFL. One of the reasons not many Michigan players were drafted was, that almost no one, if anyone, declared early for the draft. Anyone who was there, decided to stay with Jim another year. So there was less to pick from. Next year will be something else! One player who I really wouldn't complain about showing up with the Ravens would be Jabril Peppers. That kid is magic!
  13. That would be pretty awesome, if that could happen! Judging by last season already, there is quite some talent, especially on the defense. One player to watch out for is Jabril Peppers, who is primarily a CB, but is very multifunctional, can play safety too, as well as a runningback, is athletic and just a pleasure to watch him perform. Another talented player is Jake Butt, but he's a TE, so we won't be seeing him, the way we are stacked at the position.
  14. I hope to see him on the field. Michigan's defense last year was phenomenal. Three consecutive shut-outs. Go Blue!
  15. What I meant is that it's hard to compare expectations of Mosley now and what they were of Elam. Mosley is well entrenched in one position, that he plays really well as ILB. That's the only thing he plays and he's good at it and knows his responsibilities. Elam played FS his rookie year, although he is better suited as SS and as far as I remember, he played SS in college too. Then in his sophomore year, he was asked to change position and move around, doing nickel at times and lining up all over the place. Secondary isn't the easiest transition from college to NFL and I believe that if Elam was in one position only and learning the ropes of that, he wouldn't have had the slump that he did.
  16. He might not be all that different style of a leader as Buck (Daryl Smith) was. Daryl wasn't a flashy leader, but he was a leader nonetheless.
  17. I agree. However, I expect that Mosley won't be asked to play ILB, but some OLB and maybe tackle or some SS as well to help out where needed. Elam was not as good a player as Mosley was coming into the league, nevertheless, he was promising and did alright his rookie year. I think that the shifting from position to position and not sticking with one thing that he could learn to his full potential is what destroyed him as a player and why he had such a steep sophomore slump.
  18. Both those guys are the reason I chose #57 for myself when our female gridiron team finally got their jerseys. C. J. Mosley is an inspiring young player who plays my position and O. J. Brigance deserves so much respect for his perseverance and positive attitude. I like fighters.
  19. I rather see him stepping up as a pass rusher, rather than filling Courtney Upshaw's role. If he goes for a decent price, I'd stick with Upshaw, he's solid at what he does.
  20. So sorry to hear of Trey Walker's passing. Stay strong, those of you who have been personally affected by his loss. And those of you that ride motorbikes, please wear a helmet. Even minor injuries can be fatal when you're going at any speed.
  21. Gronk and Edelman I could learn to live with Hate the rest.
  22. Yup, I do for sure. I dislike Steelers fans, but respect the organization. You can't call something a rivalry unless you have respect for the opponent. Pats however, I have no respect for the organization, head coach, and on a personal level their starting QB, despite skills. Bunch of cheating whiners.
  23. I'd love to get Upshaw to stay. Anybody notice that all the signings begin with a "W"? As in Win :D
  24. My guess is it could have been a foot in mouth moment by KO and it just came out wrong. I don't think he or anyone can say that the line, offense or defense is under-appreciated in Baltimore. We have a lot of respect for our big guys. Only thing is, Ozzie has a tradition of not spending decadent money on a player who decides to go for the check if he sees an alternative.
  25. This breaks my heart. He has declined in speed, resulting in poor coverage of speedy TEs, however, except for that, he is still phenomenal. I really hope we can get him back (or that he gets picked up by a good team).
