  1. My guess is that Magee didn't do bad at all and could still be of value as a returner as well as back-up RB and as they didn't sign him on the practice squad, they could sign him once they move the injured guys to IR. Or, that's who I would go for of all the cuts recently, both due to returner potential and added depth to where we could use it right now.
  2. Also, is it just me? - When we're losing by a couple points in the last 2 minutes and our offense is unlikely to get back on the field I used to pray "We have great special teams, it could be a return touchdown, it could be a return touchdown, it could be a return touchdown..." Or so I used to until now. You can win or lose a game on your special teams play.
  3. Special teams matter in Denver. Just think back to the Mile High Miracle. Plus, whoever can say that returner job can be inconsequential and "plugging it up" is enough? Someone suffering memory loss? Do you know what Jacoby Jones did for us on special teams only when he was in his prime? Not once, but multiple times. A returner is an important position. I hope Magee comes back, he's not a WOW player, but there's a spark I'm curious to exploit.
  4. For the returner job, I really miss Jacoby Jones. Haven't seen anyone else show at least flashes of the excitement he could produce. However, I am well aware that cutting him when we did was necessary. Right now I'd test Webb if he's healthy. Melvin can cover his CB position if necessary. Steve Smith might do well, but he on the other hand is irreplaceable.
  5. I'm back from training camp and won the starting ILB job! All black & blue, might have a concussion, but I'm happy and proud.

TDubbs, I use a mouthguard all the time. Yeah, the helmet should be better, it was borrowed, I'll figure something out, because I'm not even training in that one again.

Good on ya but that's why I watch instead of play. I value my life and health more.

(Contact) flag will have to do.

      Stay safe.

  6. We have plenty solid players, but no one who causes a bang and a flash. I like Magee and think he can do well, however, both him and Forsett are small and shifty guys and without Taliaferro we don't have a power back. Will Juice be able to take up the role? Previously, he was labelled a lot as versatile. Does that hold true? And is Trestman willing to test him?
  7. The hit was disgusting and dangerous. The other hit by Robinson on Bridgewater looks just as ugly and just as intentional. Robinson should not only get fined, but suspended and if he ever does that again, ejected from the league. I wonder that Aiken got up uninjured, as was said here before, he could have been dead or Jason Street of the NFL. This should be an issue.
  8. That's good news! Carl Davis looks decent, but I am looking forward to the dominating young boys, Jernigan and Williams. They're real punishers.
  9. Crockett is awesome! This is what I want to see on the field when I watch Ravens play. Be the man to step up and shake off hits and make yards after the catch! And yes, as any offense player, be it TE, WR or RB, learn to love blocking! Nothing like a solid block to help your team mates get yards.
  10. That return looked good. From who we have on the roster right now, I'd keep the competition between Asa Jackson and Terrence Magee. Both have shown a spark, but both need improvement. Alternatively, search for a returner outside of what you have. Giving one of the returns to Magee, who seems to be shifty and I liked him as a RB too will give him a more solid case to stay on the roster with so many other RBs in the run.
  11. Asa Jackson looked good on the kick return, just a shame we were 2 yards away from the end zone and were unable to push it in! That was horrid. I'd keep Asa on kick returns. However, I think Magee showed flashes and deserves more looks as well. Glad that we have drafted Carl Davis, because otherwise it doesn't look stunning.
  12. Out of all the injuries listed above, the one concerning Timmy Jernigan scares me the most. Please don't let it be anything to sideline him for more than a game or two! The guys behind him don't seem to have enough fight in them. O-line looked like it played without KO and Monroe - you shouldn't be able to tell except for the jersey numbers.
  13. It's not unrealistic to hope for Perriman in week 1. I'll just keep my fingers crossed. I don't think we have anyone else with the same speed, we'll have to game plan for alternatives instead.
  14. From current NFL players, I know who I'd expect to make a smooth football-to-broadcasting transition - Chris Canty. I think he's showed us he's good with that.
  15. How in the name of Art Modell do you rehab a hamstring strain? I keep having it over and over and over and if I give it time to rest, the first test run shows it's still not good. I can still play, but it's stumping my performance and frankly infuriating. Just for info, I am an inside linebacker and tomorrow we start training camp preparing for season from September.

      Lmao

I had a friend with the same issue, tough to come back from. At this point I have to believe in the staff and the rehab we have in place for Dorota. It's part of the game, players play hard and get hurt. This is what we sign up for. Hope to have her by the season opener

Thanks guys for the advice. Camp is over, hamstring held up, so I feel happy. Bruised up, bashed up, face mask prints in purple and blue over my fingers, someone's cleat print on my hip, everything in my body hurts and I never felt so content :) Need to work on my flat out speed and shiftiness, but made a lot of progress on reading the play, so got more tackles at line of scrimmage. First season of women's gridiron season coming up in two weeks, can't wait!

  16. Hopefully he stays healthy. I like Marlon and remember that once he has the ball, he doesn't give it up or go down easy. If he can get 7 TDs, I'm fine with that!
  17. Hey, it's depth Our OL is depleted right now, everybody counts. Of course, I'd rather just have 3 Marshall Yanda's and 2 KO's
  18. Oh come on, Kelly! I read that there was an option a couple plays before, so Suggs was valid to evaluate it as option and you do run it! Jason Peters, I think if you get burnt on the left side, you should keep your mouth shut and not attract attention. If it was Sizzle getting to your QB, it's on you! At least kudos to Jason Kelce, who stayed classy.
  19. Hope you get well soon! I'm really glad we have Rick Wagner and Jah Reid back, hopefully our line looks better again. We have other RBs on the roster, but who's closest by skillset? I guess we can use Juice as the power back. I hope to see more of Magee too.
  20. The Brandon Williams should become a classic! I want to see that in the regular season too! As to Sizzle tackle: It wasn't pretty, but it was clean. Option is a nasty play for defense and as a linebacker I want to bash the QB as much as possible, so that they quit running it and make it easier for my defense to read it and allow no yards. Easy as that. As defense, you have to instill fear and unsettle the offense. This is football, not kiddie playground.
  21. How about seeing how Terrence Magee would do at returner? I quite enjoyed seeing him play at times, he seems elusive, which I couldn't really see with Asa or Campanaro, though he isn't bad. Also, both Asa and Camp are important on offense/defense rosters, while we have depth at RB and it might be a way to keep a promising RB on the roster. I would really really like to see him try. If not, maybe look for a returner specialist among the rookie FAs out there.
  22. I'm glad that KO sat this out. We need our OL when the season comes around. Same with Perriman assuming that he'll be ready to go once the season starts. I really miss Jacoby Jones on the returns. We need someone shifty and quick who can make miracles happen. Like what the Eagles kid did on that return. He ran out from under piles that I thought must have him. Shame we can't use our small guys, Forsett and Smith Sr for fear of injuries, since they will be missed in offense if that would happen. Forsett looked good last night. Still better at reading the play and getting through people without getting touched.
  23. Seemed to me Sizzle made the right call to go after the QB, but hey, the tackle was pretty knee height. Not saying anything as in that's intentional, only that it was controversial enough for a call to be made. On the other hand, I didn't like the call on Kendrick Lewis, that did not look like an intentional thing on the WR to me. Altogether though, I was not happy with Ravens drawing so many penalties. We can do better than that. Hell, we usually do better than that!
  24. Forget the final score and all the rest, I was not happy with the amount of penalties! There is no excuse for those, even without communication. I like our young guys on D-line though, especially Brandon Williams and Timmy Jernigan and Rashaad Melvin has done a good job in the secondary. And we need to keep our O-line healthy, because we're having issues with penalties and holding with the other guys.
  25. I suppose he could. My thoughts are, that he wants to play and Ravens really want him to play, but not sure when and if he gets the go-ahead. I don't think Pitta wants to retire. I think the hip looks good enough that he can run around and it's more a case of "let's hope he gets medical clearance soon!"
