  1. how about neither
  2. i gotcha, but we would have to wait until CJ is 33-34 years old until we pick him up to keep that trend going. because its always right after their prime.
  3. the only value jones brings to the table at this point in his career is returning kicks/punts, which he has been terrible at in SD. ross has been doing a good job since we threw him back there. at this point the only reason we would make trades or pickups is to help the team in the future, not the present. so simple answer: no, dont bring him back.
  4. the ravens are known for bringing in big name receivers? huh?
  5. ex-nfl players with a legacy like ray lewis dont become coordinators lol
  6. Ravens 24 Jags 23
  7. that deep ball to givens in the 2nd quarter was a thing of beauty.
  8. why would we bring derrick mason into this? lol. that was out of left field.. interesting, all the comments i read on the "SSS out for season" NFL.com article showed nothing but love and support for the guy, even from patriots and steelers fans.
  9. ^^^^^ could totally see him playing one more year. coming back in halfway through next season and working him back into the offense as a #2 or 3 guy. it'll add another playmaker and do nothing but help the offense, which we all expect to be powerful this time next year if the organization plays their cards right. work the offseason like he wont be around and lock up some new receivers for joe, but keep SSS on the roster and pray he comes back.
  10. you are looking too much into it man. our team is filled with young, inexperienced players, and people we picked up off the street. Ray was basically saying to those guys "this is your situation and its [profanity deleted]ty, but understanding the situation you are in, and putting in the time by following, studying, and rallying around the experienced guys like flacco will only make you better and succeed in the long run". i have absolutely no idea how that can do any harm at all. if a player wasnt into it or paying attention, it still wont do "harm". again, no idea where you came up with that idea. mostly all those players mustve been listening and you can notice this simply by observing rays body language and tone increasing throughout the speech. it was a great motivational speech, but thats pretty much it. he wasnt throwing anybody under the bus at all or vice versa. and to think it was just a gimmick speech before a game (in regards to your second example) is flat out silly.
  11. yeah flacco usually plays best when his back is against the wall, and thats really the most a fan can ask from their players. everyone expects him to lead vocally but hes a leader in his own terms. he shows up when we need him to perform no matter whats going on around him. always cool and confident, thats how he leads. he doesnt buckle under pressure and his teammates notice this and rally around him by simply doing the same, staying calm and doing their jobs. this, i believe, is a MAJOR factor why we are within 3-6 points every single game this season. win or lose, we dont give up. this has a lot to do with flacco and harbaugh at the helm. sure, we can say ray lewis had a slight hand in the win, but he was not on the field for one play today. if any fan or analyst still comes out to this day and claims flacco is not a leader, they are simply foolish imo. was proud of our guys on offense after the great SSS was sadly escorted of the field. cant wait to see perriman in action. and i hope SSS comes back for one more season.
  12. great speech. love me some ray lewis. and i dont care what our teams record is, or how much "fla(cc)k" he gets from the media. joe flacco is my quarterback. dude was stellar today, especially making something out of nothing with those awful snaps. flacc is the man. love watching him play. so calm in any situation.
  13. i dont think Gates will be that much of a factor. they already have enough talent on offense to put up serious points on our crippled secondary. so long as a healthy rivers is starting, it could get ugly. this may be the game that tips the team over the edge and really opens up a can for bisciotti. could result in the official firing of dean pees going into the bye. the team can only hang on the cliff for so long until it they officially teeter off the edge into free fall. this game may do it.
  14. chargers 45 ravens 24
  15. wade phillips would be legit. but im looking for someone more fresh like kacy rodgers or a sean mcdermott type.
  16. if we lose this game (huge chance we will ), theres a chance we could go into the bye at 0-8 because of a missed kick a few weeks back. thats fun to think about.
  17. he had the back arm slightly hooked but its a newer rule they implemented. hooking that back arm. and it looked like an extremely loose grip. another rule to make the NFL high scoring, entertaining, and rack in more money. but stupid rules like that cost games and its flat out detrimental to the overall quality of the game imo.
  18. freeney wouldnt have done squat for our defense. he just got his first sack tonight this season and it was against none other than the worst offensive lineman in the league.... EUGENE MONROE
  19. dont forget the bogus "push" penalty called on asa jackson after the fumbled punt. like harbaugh said after the game, there was about 20 - 30 pushes on the field throughout the game tonight. and that awful PI call on webb down in the red zone early in the game. just terrible, terrible calls. just let the guys play.
  20. honestly id rather listen to someone fresh with newer ideas, like de costa. would love to see him take over after this season. this team needs new, young, and fresh ideas in management AND coaching. bring in a young buck as DC, bring in some dudes that will draw up some plays with high risk high reward type mentality. actually make sh#t happen and get the job done. finish games in the 2nd and 3rd quarter. bully the opponent around. bring in a younger, smarter rex ryan. thats exactly what this defense needs.
  21. hes thinking a lot of things obviously. but ill tell you right now the most important thing he is thinking is which small amount of players are worth KEEPING, not getting rid of this off-season. thats how bad it is.. thats how much we need to completely revamp this team.
  22. only person that will be fired, if there is any firings, is pees. unless we have a crazy late season run with a strong defensive effort, which we all know WILL NOT happen lol. trestman is safe. lots of people dont realize it because the defense is so atrocious, but the offense has been ranked 9th best for the past few weeks. i think we bumped down a few after tonights game, but regardless our O isnt that bad we just need better WR's. hes doing a decent job for what he has. only way harbaugh gets fired is if they continue to lose the next 2 seasons at least. it took 3 losing seasons until bisciotii canned billick after the 2000 super bowl. and harbaugh has a much better track record. it would be foolish to let him go after one failed season.
  23. not sure what team youre watching, but the colts arent that talented. andrew luck is literally the only talent on their team. andre johnson and frank gore are old and washed up. terrible pick ups in the offseason. the problem with indy is the management, not chuck pagano. if he hits the open market he'll get snapped up in no time. even if you do want to live in imaginary land and say chuck pagano isnt a good coach and no one will want him. dont need to look any further then rex ryan, jack del rio, jim caldwell, lovie smith, etc etc etc etc
  24. hasnt this idea already come and gone? if he leaves Indianapolis he'll head coach somewhere else not a coordinator, and that's if he even decides to stay in the league. people really need to give this up.
  25. the dolphins? you serious? lol.. they are arguably one the hottest teams in football right now.
