That is 9 of our defensive starters who played at a very high level this year... (not too many teams can say that)

Yet... of our 8 loses this season... we blew seven 2nd half leads and we blew another seven 2nd half leads last season. .

Including 9 fourth quarter leads over the past two season and including 5 double digit fourth quarter leads.

Pees has no clue how to close a team out. Pees has not clue how to hold a lead. Since he has got here... no lead is safe...

(Anotinio Brown, Crabtee, Odell Beckham, Chris Hogan all closed us out in the 4th quarter... not to mention the unlikely heroics of Ryan Fitzpatrick who helped the hapless JETS to erase a double digit 2nd half lead and beat us in the 4th quarter this year).

Last season.... It was AJ Green 2x... it was Josh McCown throwing for 400 yards vs our great defense.... it was Colin Kapernick and the woeful 49ers who lit us up... it was the CHIEFS and SEAHAWKS putting up 35 points on us... it was a Peyton Manning with zero left in the gas tank who lead the team to a 4th quarter victory over us. it was squandering fourth quarter leads to the Cards and the woeful Jags)

many people will say about our injuries last season... but 2014 and 2016 looked an awful lot like 2015 for us.

So back to my original statement. Dean Pees cannot hold a lead.... He hasn't in three plus season. He has no clue how to close a team out and 40 some games is a large enough sample. He can no longer make excuses bc he has a ton of talent on the defensive side of the ball (with 8 or so of our defensive players playing at a very high level). He just has not cut it and showing me nothing to make me think he can...

So if you are excited to have him back... I really don't know how much you have watched the Ravens play over the past 3 plus seasons... (it is the same song and dance). If you are excited to have him back... I really do not know what makes you believe that he can be different?

I hope it is not his bogus defensive ranking. BC his ranking meant nothing in our 8 loses.... where we surrendered 2nd half leads over and over. Having 5th ranked defense means nothing when you don't make the play offs two years in a row. (and we cannot blame that on the offense) In 4 of our 8 loses this season we scored at least 23 points.

In 7 of our 8 loses we blew 2nd half leads
In 5 of our 8 loses we blew 4th quarter leads
In 3 of our 8 loses we blew double digit 4th quarter leads.

(even if we just win those last 3 games we are 11-5 and probably win the division)... if we don't blow a 4th quarter lead... we are 13-3 with wins over the Patriots, Raider, Steelers and a blow out over the dolphins- all the play off teams)

I said Pees should go... and nothing that he has shown me suggests otherwise... If you are optimistic about his return... I believe that you are letting your fandom cloud you vision. Sorry but I just don't see anything different under Pees... No matter who we have dressing on the defensive side of the ball.

I think I just need to go back and delete my post because people keep responding to it. I've re-posted to the majority of the people freaking out about it to clarify. I've had about 15 posts speaking on my displeasure on keeping Pees. I've said that I am not thrilled about Marty being retained, but it is at least understandable because he didn't  even have a full season to prove his worth. 

Pees has run his course. The late game collapses cannot be dismissed as anything but a failure in coaching. 

 

This whole coaching staff on the Ravens is nonsensical didn't they prove that when they got rid of all the leaders on the Superbowl team and now it seems like we are leaderless!!!

Harbaugh is scared of people who will stand up to him and tell him when he's wrong, that is not leadership skills, that's whinning to the owner skills who gives him his way whenever he wants it!!! That's why we lost the Superbowl team and haven't been back since, he has lost the respect of the team, for they know he can't coach and you could tell that in our last game this year!!! He let a play go in a game earlier when he knew it was the wrong play and we lost the game, how many more plays has he done that with??? The lions made it into the playoffs and they have Halotie Nata and Anguan Bolden, we used to have them but we don't no more, because the Ravens refuse to pay people what they are worth, I could go on and on but the Ravens front office never listen to the fans!!!

The wrong folks are being let go, the ones who need to be let go are the head coach the OC and the DC, the draft has been a bust for the last few years that's Ozzie, and you blame the AOL coach and the director of strength and training, are you kidding me? This makes no sense at all!!! I can see right now next year is going to be worse than this year, for we have the same people who want to give excuses instead of making serious changes for being out coached at about every turn!!! Now they want to have a press conference, about what? We the fans can see what's going on with the team, we are not dummies!!! The Ravens front office doesn't care about winning, because how can you run a business like this and win, it's the buddy, buddy, system here, if you're my buddy you have a job, don't worry about winning!!! Not making the playoffs three years in a row and that first year after the Superbowl that the Ravens won, we had to pray that the Chargers lost so we could make it into the playoffs!!! You fired the Superbowl team and you haven't been back since, and we won't be back there until you do what needs to be done, but I don't think anyone in the front office has the heart to do that!!! The Ravens had to fire Brian Billicks to get back to the Superbowl because he had the same attitude that Harbaugh has, do you think it's going to be any different for you Steve, you have to make changes to win, or you're doomed to repeat the last three years!!!

I'm telling you right now as a long team Raven's fan since they have been in Baltimore, when Billick messed up as coach he was fired!!! Why can't the same thing happen to Harbaugh, a fan is not one who watches the team be decimated and stand by and say everything is going just fine!!! A true fan would tell them the truth about how things are messed up and they need to change, this buddy, buddy, thing that Harbaugh has, is going to make the Ravens the laughing stock of the whole NFL if they are not already!!! Since the Superbowl team was let go, we've done nothing but missed playoffs, now I don't know about you Steve, but I don't call that winning ways, are you trying to make the Ravens like the Cleveland Browns, where you are 1-16!!! Tell us the fans Steve, how can you say we are moving forward, with the way the Ravens have been losing these last few season??? I believe you are taking this team as a joke and the only thing you want is to get the money from fans coming to the stadium, from the fans buying Ravens gear and from the fans watching the Ravens on TV, oh yeah and by being an owner!!! Other teams are making changes while we stay the same and lose!!!

We still got the same people who are losers, still making losing decisions for the 2017-2018 Ravens season, lets see if these losers will miss another playoff, people just can't seem to understand, if you want to remain losers keep the same losers on your team, for if change does not come things will remain the same, and being hardheaded will get you nothing!!! In business if you want to progress some things do have to change, but if you don't change then things will remain the same!!! The Ravens will wind up being a mediocre team because of bad business decisions from people who don't know what they are doing!!!

There are so many things that need to be done on the Ravens, but no one is willing to take the high road and get these things done, so here we are looking like the Browns or the Jags if we don't get these things done!!! You can play around if you want to but the Ravens will be the laughing stock of the NFL if something is not done quickly in the off season!!! All the coaches need to be let go and we need a whole new coaching staff who can motivate the players, for the ones we have now cannot!!! We need a better secondary for they being taking advantage of on a regular basis but people don't seem to want to hear that or do anything about that!!! Steve Smith Sr. is retiring who will replace him, Anguan Bolden will not be coming back and we need a down field play maker bad, Perriman, I don't know, Wallace I don't know, but if we can't find one we will see what they can do, and that's just the start!!!

The offensive coordinator and the defensive coordinator need to be fired, the head coach needs to go too if he can't motivate the team to play better than what he did today, it was awful and shameful, no leadership at all!!! And this is what we got to look forward to if serious changes are not made!!! Ever since Harbaugh and Ozzie let the Superbowl team go we have been going straight down hill, all these promises but producing nothing!!! Now we are at rock bottom, you have lost control of the team, the confidence of the team in it's coaches seems to be gone, motivation is at a minimum, players don't want to play, but you say you think we can be a good team, oh yeah, when and where? Because you haven't shown as nothing since the Superbowl team was dismantled by Harbaugh and Ozzie!!! But the bad part about this, things seem to be getting worse and not better for it seems Harbaugh and Ozzie has lost the confidence of the team, in the locker room and on the field, because the way they played today, they did not play like a Raven!!!

What happened to the leadership in the Ravens organization, it must have been nonexistent, seems like no one was able to motivate the Ravens to play today, oh, it was a bad loss last week, cry, cry, cry, right, so what, man up and get it done, cry babies should not be allowed to be on professional football teams, you get paid too much money to whine and cry!!! The Bengals had a worst record then the Ravens but they didn't give up, the Browns had a worst record then the Ravens and they almost beat the Steelers today, matter of fact they had to go to overtime for the Steelers to win that game!!! So stop your whining and belly-aching, man up and don't do it again when next season come!!! That was a pitiful way to send Steve Smith Sr. off into retirement and it was shameful and embarrassing to the Raven fans of City of Baltimore!!!

I can't understand why they couldn't play a better game for Steve Smith Sr. the man who put them in position to win so many games on so many different occasions!!! How he played the game until the end, and this is all that they could do for him, is to go out there and play like this, with no spirit at all!!! To many of them went out there and played like losers!!! And me myself, I'm ashamed and embarrassed of that, because I thought the Ravens motto was "Play Like A Raven!" Did today's game show how you play like a Raven? No, not at all!!! The team spirit was not present in everyone only just a few, and it was an embarrassment to the fans in Baltimore City for the Ravens to go there and play like that, it was a very disappointing day for Ravens fans and not a good way to say goodbye to Steve Smith Sr.!!! The fans of Baltimore City will certainly miss you Mr. Steve Smith Sr. #89, We wish you well in whatever you decide to do and may GOD BLESS YOU!!!

You score when you can score because nothing is guaranteed, but penalties is entire a different subject, when Young did not play the ball but played the man and put them close to the enzone and they scored!!! Penalties will kill any team all the time and as close as that game was we could not afford any penalties but we made one at the most inopportune time in the game!!!

I think the Ravens played as hard as they could, and it was a real good game, but this missing the playoffs the last 3 out of 4 season is not a good thing and excuses will not cut it!!! But as always GO RAVENS!!! I hope the draft will do us some good if Ozzie can get this one right!!!

Ever since Harbaugh and Ozzie got rid of the Superbowl team, we've done nothing but gone down hill, poor coaching, poor play calling, losing games that we should not lose, being out coached, lame excuses and not speaking the truth, they need to get rid of the whole front office and the coaching staff for lying to the fans!!!

I think we need new coaches a new head coach, a new offensive coordinator and a new defensive coordinator for we get the same results year after year and for some reason people can't see that we need a change, the secondary needs a face lift, Weddle is fine but Jimmy Smith is out with a bad back and the rest has been a problem for years!!! Excuses always comes out of the mouths of the people that is the cause of the problem, the coaches, and Flacco misses too many people who are open too many times!!! This is the results we will always get if we keep thinking that we don't need to change things that don't work, next year will be the same if we don't make changes, just wait and see, excuses, excuses, excuses, and no playoffs!!!

Yes we did play well and I'm not ashamed of our boys but this is three out of four tries of not making the playoffs, changes must come, if we are going to get back to the playoffs!!!

Stupid mistakes and poor decisions is what doomed us this year, how many times will we not make the playoffs before people see there needs to be a change!!!

I hope we can draft high in the 2017-18 season!!! And we need a new OC and DC for the ones we have stunk up the place and a new head coach for we have not made the playoff for a while with the ones we have, maybe a change is needed!!!

Penalties will not help you win, but they will make sure you lose, this off season maybe we can instill that in certain players mind and teach them how to play the ball and not the man, because it's just stupid not to turn around when the ball is coming, a lot of time you could intercept the ball or at the least knock it down!!! I see this happening on every team in the NFL, I wonder do they teach not to play the ball but the man???

Penalties will steal the game right away from you, you have to play the ball and not the man, how many times can be that be said before people will do that, and you can't leave a lot of time on the clock!!! Or you will doom yourself!!!

It was just a messed up bonehead play, we had the game in hand and almost gave it away, they should have ran the ball simple as that!!! Stupid mistakes will have you on the outside looking in!!! This Sunday we will see, because the Eagle tore up the run defense and now we have to stop Bell, and if we could just stop all the stupid penalties we will have a good chance to win this game coming up!!! Can't we do anything besides grabbing people face masks, pushing in the back, and holding people, the refs always seem to catch us for some reason and hardly ever catch the other team, but I think that's done on purpose!!! And I think its a bonehead player who can't tell they are hurting and not helping the team, what's wrong with these folks is beyond me!!! But through it all GO RAVENS!!!

What happened today, makes no since at all!!! It seems like the Ravens just gave up playing Ravens football and started playing silly football!!! The Seahawks did the same thing and lost the Superbowl, when they threw the ball instead of letting beastmold run the ball and they lost the game, and they should have lost it, because that was a bonehead play that should have never happened!!! Bonehead plays just create bonehead losses, because they just make teams lose, and to lose the Superbowl like that, is just dumb!!! I just don't think that John Harbaugh is the right coach for the job, if you thought you should have vetoed that play, than you should have vetoed it, for because of that play, we almost lost the game and the next time we may lose!!! Can any coach stand up on the Ravens and correct plays when they need to be corrected??? Change the play and make it right, don't guess about it, for to me that shows weakness in the head coach who is suppose to make these call and not guess about it!!! We play the Steelers next week, we cannot afford to make these types of mistakes with them or they will run over us and possibly destroy our playoff hopes!!! We played well enough to win today but we give up to much and made it hard on ourselves!!! But through it all GO RAVENS, but be cool and don't be no fool for no one!!!

Now, this is how you play like a Raven!!! I remember this type of play and how it got us to the playoffs, and you kinda get use to that and when it doesn't happen folks get a little upset because we remember when!!! Maybe the Ravens spoiled the fans in Baltimore by being so good in the past and winning Superbowl's, we remember Ray Lewis and Ed Reed and Anguan Bolden, and all the rest of the Superbowl team!!! Now we want that back with different names on the shirts, sure we still have Suggs and Dumerville and Pitta, but they can't do it by themselves, and today it was proven just how good this Ravens team can be with the new names on the jerseys, this is truly playing like a Raven!!! And the penalties were down to a minimum, and that always a good thing, you made me proud Ravens, you made me proud to be part of the Ravens Nation, GO RAVENS!!!

Why do we keep getting short people to play cornerback, because Jimmy Smith is out more than he plays, and I don't think he will last too much longer, Young can't play Brown, Bryant, Beckcum, nor Green, that's been proven so many times this year!!! He's not fast enough nor athletic enough to handle these big time receivers and it seems like no one else on the team can do that either, why can't we get what we truly need to make a good run!!! We had the chance before the year started when we should have picked what we truly needed during the draft but Ozzie and Harbaugh did something else, and we had the chance during free agency, but folks were cheap, so here we are today, I guess we reaped what we sowed hu!!! Now the defensive line seems to be fine, but the secondary and parts of the offense is just out of wack, and I truly hope that can be changed, but mindsets need to be changed first!!!

Can't people see, that the secondary is suspect and we don't have many take away's, Flacco is off entirely too much, too many missed throws to receivers and too many interceptions, and does he ever take responsibility for that!!! It's time for Flacco to look in the mirror and fix himself before he starts to talk about the rest of the team, because three and out does not help anything and keeps the defense on the field entirely too long!!! Making to the playoffs is one thing but making to the Superbowl is something entirely different!!!

The game we played Sunday against the Bengals was a very good win, Suggs just played his butt off, Marqueson Huff's block and Matthew Judon's run defense as well as pass rusher all helped in the win and we need that type play all the way through this season!!! But the blitz will be needed more, not saying we need to blitz all the time, but if only to make the opposing QB think we are going to blitz, and Elvis Dumerville with his sack, Timmy Jernigen who played well, and that guy who's playing LT Marshal Yanda, makes us look like we are ready!!! But missed throws, interceptions, penalties, does not help anything and we need to keep them at a mimimal!!! Low scoring, we have to do something about that, seems like Flacco is having a bad year, I hope he can change that, we are not looking real bad, but we are not looking real good either, seems like we are just making it, and we must do better than that to get to the playoffs with who we have got to play coming up, but through it all GO RAVENS!!!

And Yanda, played like a man on a mission, he's a straight up stud, played left guard like he's done that forever, best I've ever seen that position played on the Ravens!!! Shout Out To Marshal Yanda, JOB WELL DONE!!!
